Now for you to know these guys are hardcore criminals, see my statement below.--This guy Emmanuel Chukwuebuka Ifeanyichukwu hails from Ezioko in Orumba North Local Council of Anambra State. -- The guy was nabbed in 2015 by NDLEA when he ingested 1.293kg of substances that tested positive for cocaine. He was to depart Enugu to Istanbul through Addis Ababa on an Ethiopian Airline flight. His reason for trafficking in drugs was to raise more money for his business. He was a secondary school dropout then in 2015, and would have received 3,000 dollars on arrival in Turkey if he had succeeded then. He is married with a child. https://guardian.ng/news/nigeria/metro/ndlea-arrests-tricycle-rider-others-over-drug-peddling/--Probably the corrupt NDLEA freed him --Now he is arrested in Pakistan in 2020 again on the same crime of cocaine My verdict, they should use hammer to flatten his head. Blackking98: In as much as yes Efik/ibibio won't be part of biafra, we won't remain in Nigeria either, I wish the igbos well tho, Nigeria has sea access but we're not better than Switzerland or Austria that are landlocked in anything except population. That is exactly what Mark Essien was saying. |
Politics › Ijaw, Efik/ibibio, Deltans Will Never Be Part Of Biafra, It Will Be A Landlocked by Salewa97(op): 4:41pm On Sep 14, 2020 |
The Chief Executive Officer of Hotels.ng, Mark Essien has barred his mind on the agitation for Biafran nation. Citing that Biafra will be a landlocked country if eventually becomes a nation.
This is coming on the heels of agitations by different group in South-east Nigeria. Groups like; IPOB, MASSOB, BIM, etc, has been calling for a separation from Nigeria. A movement which will birth the new nation called Biafra. However, Essien pointed out that if Biafran nation if granted freedom, will be landlocked with no access to sea or oil. The Akwa Ibom born entrepreneur in a social media post further added that region like South-South will unlikely join Biafra as a nation. He said: “Those calling for Biafra don’t understand that it will be a landlocked country without access to the sea (or oil). It is highly unlikely that any of the other tribes will join in. All the major markets will collapse without trade from the rest of Nigeria. No resources, no trade. “If you’re secretly hoping Nigeria splits, dead that dream. Because the south would split into two. And then South-West will split into two again, then South-South-East will split into 4 pieces. Those tiny nations will be unstable, poor, and ruled by warlords. It’s better as it is. “And those hoping for Biafra as a single, unified South-East and South-South together: that will never happen. It will be the worst of all guerrilla wars. The creeks can hide an insurgent army that can never be flushed out, and they will attack over and over again. “The Ijaws, Efik/Ibibio, Deltans will never agree to be part of Biafra, and should it happen by force, then it will be seen as an occupation and will be resisted. Considering that access to water and oil lies in the minority areas, it will be hard to occupy those areas for long.Source: https://abacityblog.com/biafra-will-be-a-landlocked-country-without-access-to-sea-or-oil-mark-essien/

Politics › Over 8,000 Anambra Citizens Receive N5,000 Monthly From FG Cash Transfer Program by Salewa97(op): 6:25pm On Sep 08, 2020*. Modified: 6:51pm On Sep 08, 2020 |
The Anambra State Commissioner for Economic Planning, Budget and Development Partners, Mr Mark Okoye, said a total of 8,313 persons in Anambra State receive the sum of 5,000 naira monthly from the Federal Government Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) programme in the state.
The commissioner, who disclosed this on Tuesday during a one-day stakeholders forum to share State Social Register (SSR) data with relevant ministries, agencies and parastatals (MDAs), said the beneficiaries were the poor and vulnerable households in the society.
Okoye, while noting that 25,070 poor and vulnerable households have equally been enrolled to benefit from the CCT programme in the ‘near future,’ added that Anambra State has a total of 99,463 poor and vulnerable households and 433,188 individuals in its State Social Register (SSR).
He explained that the state was first to commence implementation of the Federal Government assisted Social Investment Programme (SIP) in the South-east geopolitical zone which began operation in 2017 across six pilot local government areas selected from the three senatorial zones and upon completion, Phase 2 took off in 15 council areas.
In his speech, the Coordinator, Anambra State Operations Coordinating Unit (SOCU), Bede Okoli, explained that the agency was established in 2016 as part of the requirements for the state to key into the Federal Government’s National Social-Net programme (NASSP), adding that the data generated by SSR through community based targeting process were useful and accessible by interested persons and institutions upon application.
In their separate contribution, the member representing Anaocha 1 constituency at Anambra State House of Assembly, Honorable Ebelechukwu Ejiofor, and the state acting Statistician-General, Mr Paul Emeka, commended the state government on data generation via SSR, which they said would help in effective planning and execution of projects by both the state government, development partners and others. |
