[s]Tatanlizers and chicken republic are dead. Tantilizers at alaba, festac are now rented by churches, people organizing events. Even mr biggs is dead. Their business model is difficult to sustain especially when most of what they sell is being replicated outside. Go to ikeja, satellite, festac

etc and see many small scale outfits. Most of the owners worked in tantilizers, chicken rep etc.[/s]
Stop saying rubbish, Because you think Tantalizer in festac is not more does not think Tantalizer’s in other locations are not working.

Chicken republic and Tantalozers are still standing tall in other states and locations.

Also who are the small scale outfit selling food as small scale outlet?, are they not also Yorubas? So what exactly are you saying?

Are the small scale stores Igbo stores abi which kind wahala be this this afternoon. Ojuku why do you want to have high blood pressure on Tantalizer’s and Chicken rep that are still working and making sales?

he's talking from the context of 'Liver'
What liver? Are the political situation in Edo the same as that of Lagos?

Ambode duly contested the APC primaries and lost in a free and fair election.

PDP is not strong in Lagos, infact APC owned most of all the House of assembly, House of rep, and senate seat in Lagos.

PDP have always been relegated in any election since 1999, so tell me how Ambode will win if he decamp to PDP? What will be his gain contesting and wasting money when it’s evident he will lose?

However in Edo case, APC&PDP always have 50/50% chance of wining elections over there so It make sense to Obaseki to decamp and try his luck.

Edo have been ruled by PDP before multiple times so it’s different from an APC totally controlled Lagos.

Again Edo is not Lagos in all ramification because Edo is a backward state while Lagos is a mega city!

The thread is not about chestbeating or dick measuring. It is to remind you of your jubilation years ago, when foreigners were setting up businesses. You people rejoiced and mocked the Igbos in their 2x2 shops saying that it is time to displace them, but today Igbos are telling you that they can't be displace in the field they are gifted with, rather they will be the one to displace those foreigners. That's the purpose of this thread.
What foreigners have you now displaced? Are you taking to kids online?

I just showcased the Yoruba malls and retail stores in Ibadan alone to counter the rubbish some of you said in the front page.

See bro, all these village chestbeating is nonesense, Yorubas have been doing all these since God knows when and people don’t even have time to be shouting about retail stores and mall.

Oh yes, leadership always begin from the top and then it triggers down to the lower rung of society. You called Shagari a corrupt leader in your media then, so it isn’t new to us anymore. 2015-2023 has exposed you people s hypocrites and are only noise makers when given the opportunity to make a difference. You are not better than those you criticize.
And yet, the messiah Buhari you urshered in was worst in 1983-1985.

The SW media called Shagari names yet he was found with nothing when placed under house arrest by Buhari your messiah. It was on record that the so-called corrupt Shagari left the Presidency without a penny (a delapidated house and a farm) and Buhari the messiah who removed Shagari for corruption claims left as head of state a billionaire in just two years. When the likes of former Emir Sanusi called the SW the problem with Nigeria in Arewa house Kaduna, he made mention of Shagari to buttress his point. And he wasn’t wrong.

If we begin to mention Shagari’s legacy this may run into more pages. Shagari legacy is bold and can never be hidden. He was a Father figure, humble and carried everyone along, irrespective of party and tribe.
The botched Lagos metro rail by Shagari a first in Africa at that time, was brought to a hold by the SW messiah Buhari. First shot!
Lol, you end up speaking nothing.

List out some of the numerous Shagari legacy you spoke about. Just give us few of it and let us know why you think the Igbos should be commended for voting him.

What’s SW own with Buhari overthrowing Shagari? Is Buhari a Yoruba man?

How is that Yoruba man cup of tea?

Ogbeni gbenu soun. You should know that I’m not easily bullied. My post is still clear and plain. It was you who mentioned (at least from the bolded) Shagari been above Zik and Awolowo. Only a foreigner would say such. Shagari can never lace the shoes of Zik and Awo. Where would he start from, a TC 11 certificate holder. If Nigeria has been a progressive country, Shagari wouldn’t even think of becoming a Minister in the first republic let alone rule as President in the second republic. It happened because the foundation of this country has been skewed from day 1 to favour the north.

Back to my point, despite doubts about Shagari’s competency, his government still remains the best ever. Let’s be fair to the man for once. It was under his government that Governors really worked. We had Lateef Jakande in Lagos, Sam Mbakwe in Imo, Ambrose Alli in Edo, Solomon Lar in Plateau, Adekunle Ajasin of Ondo, Jim Nwobodo of Anambra, Mike Okilo of Rivers, Abubakar Rimi in Kano, Balarabe Musa in Kaduna, Bamanga Tukur of Gongola state etc.
We had the best Governors then all because of the leadership of Shagari/Ekwueme. Give credit to whom it’s due.

However rather than manage and possibly make the system better, the Awo’s UPN who were bad losers kept insulting Shagari with their media, claiming all kinds of corrupt rumors against him and even went as supporting a coup with the help of Abiola to being dictator Buhari to power.
Lol see how you were taking with two mouth and I don’t even understand your post tbh.

So because Fashola performed Governor in Lagos, it meant we should give the accolades to Jonathan? Does it make sense to you?

Because Lateef Jakande performed in Lagos implies that we should give the merit to Shagari? Because Ajasin performed in Ondo, then we should credit Shagari for that?

Do you even know the duties of a president? You would have mentioned the legacy of Shagari that still exists till today and that will be the benchmark to rate him.

What are his legacies? We know of OBJ building refineries, Babangida with the FCT and Third Mainland bridge, and etc.

What is Shagari known for? He ran a corrupt government that the military had to come in to send them packing and yet you’re here giving him accolades and fake image based in the performance of individual governors?

Nawa o!

Yes Shagari pulled some sympathetic votes because of how open and fair his government was to Ndigbo. I won’t deny this especially during the 1983 elections. This was because the country witnessed massive infrastructural and industrial growth in every state during his rule — no wonder why all best Governors in every state till date ruled under Shagari’s tenure. Yet, Yoruba media kept demonizing him and even went as far as inviting the military to remove him through a coup.
Back to my topic, Igbos voted Zik’s NPP in the 1979 and 1983 elections. Shagari main support base was the present South-South states whom he rewarded with the Senate Presidency.
Lol, Shagari witnessed massive infrastructural growth really? So Shagari was better than Awolowo and Azikwe in terms of leadership qualities and ability to grow Nigeria?

You are a joker. Here you are giving adulations to the Fulani and claiming Shagari was everything simply because you want to defend the reason for Igbos voting for Shagari.

While I don’t care who Igbos vote for coz it’s a democracy, what I can’t seems to understand is the hypocrisy of the Igbos in terming Yorubas Fulani appendages simply because they voted Buhari in 2015 and the mention of southern betrayal that Igbos always sought to play against the Yorubas.

is it not also southern betrayal during Shagari’ era when Igbos were busy splitting the southern votes? What changed in 2015? What is the difference between 1979/1983 and 2015? Are you guys not hypocrites?
