Can a basket with cover be used if improvisation is needed to transport beehives. and can flowhives be constructed locally, the flowhives can harvest honey 2 monthly where there is sunlight in abundance according to YouTube videos.

don't try it. or you can try it. VERY RISKY. How much are you trying to save?? Bees stings are deadly! They can kill if you are careless. This your improvisation idea will end in SEVERE and collateral damage..Count me out of such RISKY ventures.

I suppose you didn't read where i wrote on improvisations.

1. 4 hectare Cocoa - Clonal Garden irrigation (drip irrigation) at Iyee-Ekiti. Ekiti State Ministry of Agriculture is the anchor.

2. 3 acres micro-spray irrigation at Eruwa farm settlement, Eruwa, Oyo State.

3. 1 hectare maize drip irrigation farm at Iseyin, Oyo State (2018, October)

And a host of others

Water Source : Three boreholes that are functional. The water needs of these crops cannot not be satisfied, the client has been put on notice! More will be sunk as resources permit.

We roll out with my team at sun rise.

Initial Challenges

1. Weed management on the field has not been very good. The cocoa and plantain growth rate has not been uniform all through the field.

2. Some key components/accessories are not yet complete. They were procured earlier but unfortunately the vendor shipped them via sea shipping instead of using air freight which would have arrived a matter of days..A new order has been placed to come by air shipment ELSE, the installation timeline will be greatly disrupted.

Project duration: two weeks

However, an extension has been sought to accomodate for late delivery of some vital components

Traditional method - once a year, could be anytime once you are sure they have sealed the honey cappings I.e honey is ripe

Funding is the main determinant you need fund to acquire land which is the bedrock of farming be it crops and animal husbandry.

I defer here, lots of those who have challenges in their agribusiness ventures that I know, money is not their problems. Dearth of knowledge or ignorance about the day to day operations, or lack of knowledge behind the science that translates to high productivity is their main problems.. they have money..
