INote: HS Fees have not been reviewed yet and therefore IHS fee for 1 year course cannot be more than 705 GBP.

What is the duration of your course? If your course is 2years long, then that IHS fee is justifiable. That is, 470+470+235 =1,175 GBP. 235 GBP being for the extra 4 months of stay.

Pls which schools in UK take 2:2 grade for MPhil(masters of philosophy) or research based masters 1 year programme.


Most of the ones I have seen are 2:1 or first class,and I got something cool In uni of Salford but I don't even understand if it's 1 year or 3 years for the Mphil.

Ans. 1. It is not too late. just check out enough school. Most admission process, I have withnessed here are within 1 - 2 months, as far as you have all pre-requiste documents needed for your admission reuirement for the programs you decide to go for.

Ans 2. In my own perspertive, the best time to apply for visa is only when you get your Letter of Acceptance (LOA i.e. Admission Letter) from your school stating when you are starting your programs....brabra

3. Haaa, One of my friend that did this...I think they did court registry... to obtain marriage certification, pictures of you and her especially during your courtship like few years back...Then SOP to save your life and the big man Problem almost every one is having Proof of Funds

1)If admission takes 1 to 2 months ..meaning I will get admission offer letter by say Sept/October....which is 3 months to january start...if I then apply for visa say October ,will I still be able to meet January as I learnt student visa processing is 4 months



2) Did your friend and his/partner apply together or one person travelled first and then partner applied say 3 months later??...we have lot of pix as we started dating while she was in 200Level


3) For proof of fund,the money will be in my account for both of us right and how did your friend EXPLAIN HOME TIES

There’s no what if. You are in the picture. The form she will fill. She will be asked questions about spouse and location of spouse etc .. no point telling lies because it will come back in the end to catch all and sundry.
Also earning 120k job can not get her a uk visit visa. I have to be honest with you

I empathise with your situation.
Concentrate on going for your course. I doubt with a salary of 120k she will be given a visa + knowing fully well that her husband is in the UK on student visa(for a course about 1 year) the ECO knows her ties are more to the UK and she will not come back. There’s a reason they decided to stop the student dependency policy. Also student visa ideally is for you to go for your course and come back in about 9 months. So it’s assumed you should round up and return to Nigeria. They will judge her on the balance of probabilities.
So get into school and work on getting a skilled work visa at the end of your course. In that way you can bring her in as a dependent or PHD course which can bring in dependents

Please My issue is that I will be traveling for my masters program by January 2024.However,due to the new immigration law ,I obviously can't apply for dependent visa for my partner.So I have been considering visiting visa so that she can also travel with me as our marriage will just be 4 weeks old by January and we don't want to start our union with long distance marriage cos we did long distance relationship for years from day one of us dating.


-when is the best time in the year to apply for her.

-Should I land in Uk first before her?


-How many months statement can she provide?


-What can she state as purpose of trip...will say honeymoon work...?

-She earns around 120k monthly...apart from side hustle from her bag making...how do we handle this as the visa officer might ask how will she fund her trip with such pay and my uncle wants to transfer #2m to her to support/sponsor her expenses for the few days she will will spend
