eyinjuege: Good for you. Worry about your own children and the African magic you expose them to. There are pupils in the public schools, which were created for a reason. For free education, especially for those who cannot afford it. Your child going to the most expensive school doesn't mean he/she will be more intelligent than those going to public schools. You will still see some of your children's classmates in university that went to public pry and secondary schools. A parent plays the major role in raising children, and provided you don't leave it all to the teachers, those going to public schools will be fine. Crass words can be picked equally in posh schools, since being rich doesn't necessarily determine your values. They say all sorts like fu¢k, s#it etc which their parents also use. Does are not polite words, and are picked from home a lot of times. Talking about being comfortable, that's relative. Not everyone will be rich, not everyone will be able to afford expensive schools, not everyone will be able to afford a car to take your children around, not everyone will be able to afford expensive hospitals. Its just life see self consolation Private university never finish na |

eyinjuege: Excuse you, I'm just someone who sees life as it is.
I don't do all that gender battles or what not.
Hardly will you see a man these days that'll refuse his wife's help in meeting the needs of the home. Women's earning power is equal if not more than the men these days in Naija, at least in the corporate world.
Let's be real here and face reality. It's not all men that have good jobs. Even those with relatively good jobs don't live according to the standard they would have loved to. Who doesn't like going on holidays to exotic places? Who doesn't want their children to go to BIS? But the truth is few people can live that lifestyle.
Don't be deceived that because we're all typing and chatting on the Internet that we are all on the same level.
Those mushroom schools cater for a lot of children including those whose parents are on NL (until our govt can provide basic education, and increase the no of public schools primary and secondary levels) . At least the govt can put checks and balances in place to monitor those mushroom schools and the people they employ
Not all NLers live abroad, or in duplexes or flats. Millions of people live in face me I slap you, and some are also on NL, some send their children to mushroom schools. Public Schools are not really bad with the staff employed, but they have poor infrastruture and we have plenty of pupils registered there. In fact, I've got some wonderful colleagues who are products of these public schools. We have some men in their 40s and 50s not earning upto the 70k, do we still ask them to wait till they hit it before starting a family ? Remember, it's not everyone that'll get that breakthrough. Like I said earlier, everyone should cut their coat according to their cloth. Some families live on the 70k who is doing gender battle with this one?I'm telling you the truth and you're talking about gender battles.don't worry na.enu e lowayen.when your children starts gbagauing in the house and learning crass words you didn't teach him at home you will know what's up Public schools are wonderful my foot.make una continue deluding yourselves it's allowed this is nl.don't work hard so that your family can live a comfortable life.go and marry and start children in an environment of poverty |

eyinjuege: The wife to be might be earning more. Also, it's not compulsory they stay in a flat. People live in face me I slap you, or go to outskirts like Mowe to live. They can still get a self contained there for less than 100K I think. It's not compulsory to use gas, though I think it's cheaper at the end of the day. Those living in the outskirts enjoy cheaper foodstuff. It's not compulsory the children go to private school, though it's better. Most private schools are mushroom schools anyway, and you can get some for 's cheap as 20K. Nobody likes poverty, but the truth is how many people are not poor? How many young men and women earn more than 70K in Naija? So that's why family income is important, which is what both husband and wife bring home. The Naija of today, very few men can single handedly run their homes. Everyone just has to cut their coats according to their cloth. haaaa!!! Okunrin!!! Small time you will open that smelling mouth and say I cannot allow my wife to foot the bill of the house.I am a man.I will not allow any woman to emasculate me.infact if she earns more than you and supports in the bill una go still give her wahala True dey boom Btw you're encouraging him to take his children to mushroom schools with teachers who are semi illiterates to teach his kids and learn how to cuss That's nice.iyen na da I |

Everyone will be in your buisness giving you solicited and unsolicited advice ON how to live your life.meanwhile your neighbours can be hemp smoker or drunkard. It's 24k per year but I can assure you you won't enjoy your life living there You will still pay nepa bills buy generator fuel it (especially when the kids start coming ) Your wife has needs you will satisfy her otherwise she's leaving. A woman's tolerance level to poverty differs You will buy food stuffs To refill gas cooker you're talking of 4,500 The cheapest private school in Lagos is at least 80k.how do you want to cope? Valfrankie: FRESHERS BE LIKE: lol.I remember one of my relatives who just got into school and started dating a cult boy.we all warned her but she said the same thing in that picture so everyone minded their buisness. She hardly attends classes, the boy was always taking her to club, introduced her to weed etc.apparently she knew the guy was a cultist but was still dating him anyway because according to her he was romantic and good in bed. When she got to 300level a cult clash broke out,she was expelled alongside with other cultists including her boyfriend because they thought she was a cultist. No explanation and appealing delivered her that day Eventually she went to go and learn make up,opened a makeup studio and she's doing well for herself. The point is if you're in school don't forget yourself and be rolling with the people who's purposes don't align with yourself and if you don't want to go to the university or you think you're not intelligent enough after failing jamb severally abeg don't waste your parents money and your time.just go and learn a skill, focus on it and be an entrepreneur, develop yourself and attend seminars that relate with the buisness you're doing in other to help you sharpen your skill and compare your work with others to see where you need improvement So whether or not you're a graduate it doesn't matter in today's economy. The issue is what do you have to offer What it takes to suceed isn't numerous certificates that will only prepare you to be an employee for life It takes intelligence wisdom and taking advantage of opportunities at the right time Yes it's good to come out with first class 2.1 is beautiful But all that is as good as decorations if you don't work on yourself and know what you want and how you want to achieve it before entering the university Listen to your parents even if they're not educated.I remember the son of a moi moi seller was giving her son advise about what to do in othet not to loose his job and he dismissed it because to him the mother doesn't know anything in the career world since she didn't even go to secondary school Not only has he lost his job he is relying on the same illiterate woman's money to use in searching for another job When you're in school stay away from drunkeness Excessive clubbing attending strip clubs (that is a den of cultist haven including campus prostitutes ) Stay away from weed.you feel good when you start but it has negative health implications fuckig every girl that catches your fancy. Till you catch std you won't know Stay away from gambling too.you will only attract campus robbers Look at all the world shakers economically. Both local and globally how many of them are graduates.the only thing similar in all what is peculiar to them is self preparation for opportunities The Labour market is getting more tensed and stressed .the demand for jobs are higher than the supply. Every year universities all over the world keep churning out graduates both employable and unemployable so it's not an issue of first class.the world has seen the vanity in first class.some of them cannot even deliver at work, they'll be doing like programmed robots. They cannot apply theory into practical Moreso back in the days when there was no population explosion that before you finish school jobs are waiting for you that was when first class and 2.1 had value to employers because jobs supply was more than job demand. We're living in different and uncomfortable times now so wake up to reality As technology keeps advancing so does economic stress recession etc |

When your mates are reading in the library you're going for night vigil I'm not saying attending religious functions is bad but not at the expense of why you're in school You will be going for church fellowships when you should be doing an assignment and then you expect God to do a miracle. cococandy: On this thread, it's funny.
But in real life, it isn't. It's asinine beliefs like this that is responsible for the huge loss of lives of innocent people. Children included.
Because some ediot somewhere believes that some sort of ritual will make money start coming mysteriously to him/her. So they go to whatever lengths to get their fellow humans whom they kill brutally and use their parts for some xtupid ritual. All because they are too lazy to be any good.
And this is is how it starts. First ritual= alligator pepper, next one = cow and the next = one human being or more. true that. It's Just unfortunate that children Will be at the receiving end even women too are kidnapped for jazz purposes. I find it quite amusing sef that a babalawo will even have the effontery to advertise money rituals on a public forum in the Christian section for that matter |

cococandy: For all those 'you saw the signs' chanters, so what? Is that a solution? Mtchew.
OP I wouldn't hesitate to leave an asshole like that. Nobody deserves to be treated that way. It's one to thing to forgive someone who cheated on you and is repentant but it's also another to knowingly, willfully put up with dehumanizing behavior like that for which the perpetrator is heartlessly uncaring about.
You're a person with feelings and your happiness/sanity matters. Look at his family. It will never get better. Improve yourself, get a job and kick his ass to the curb. All this might take a while but before then, protect yourself from him. He's a walking reservoir of STDs (never mind the condoms) and if you get anything from him, not only will he not care, he and his family can fabricate stories to make you like like the one who brought the infection home.
There's nothing for you in that marriage not even child care for your little baby. If you have to tie your baby on your back while braiding hair or learning some other kind of handcraft, anything is better than living there tolerating his wickedness and slowly being turned into a shadow of yourself.
If you die of emotional trauma (yes there's a thing like that) or HIV/AIDs, that your baby he doesn't care about now, he won't start caring about then.
Do what's best for you. Good luck you have said it all but why did you wear lipstick for my cute chubby honeypie?I will give you blow for belle o. Abeg clean the lipstick for her lips.pedos are every where they cannot differentiate a baby from an adult |

There's an addage that says when an elephant falls, the little animals will begin to climb on it
When a country like benenoise is disrespecting and taking advantage of Nigerians you should know They learnt that from us with the way we treat one another
Police will want to collect bribe from you with disrespect and impunity road side touts will be hanging on commercial busses harrasing conductors to collect 20naira. Go to the market and price tomato the market woman will curse you very well Go to shops to buy cloth same thing
And this people see the way we disrespect ourselves. Meanwhile Americans respect each other and that's why other nationals respect them.
Change actually begins from us not them because if we continue exploiting each other and abusing our positions to each other other nationals will do the same |
