frankly, it's cause of what I've been seeing here but I know that's not a factor, life na risk, same way I was skeptical about getting 9s due to "I'm experiencing this or that" but I got it anyways, I'd update, that's sure but maybe not now.

Data consumption na your settings. Check your social media apps, Google play update, Google drive/image apps, Mi Drive sync settings. Don't forget to disable data access for xender.

1 week+ into using the 9s, no issues whatsoever, still sleek, has never LAGGED, has never heated up, but the data consumption, omo, It's way different than when I was on Tecno, it's no joke, but that's a small price to pay. All in all, the phone is a beast. The battery is what keeps me like

Na yeye Airtel network force me to update to MIUI 12 this past weekend. And some Opera bugs. MIUI 12 is also great too.

Well, I haven't updated, and tbh it's due to some "complaints" I've seen here. This miui 11 is serving me well so....might update later

Mehn, this battery, nah, Xiaomi is on a totally different level. Under minutes, the phone is full(not from 0 tho) and then using it (game+chat+the usual), drops very very slow. I was on injustice 2 for two hours and only 15% was gone(not a tasking game sha but still).
P.S: this is my first Xiaomi experience hence my excitement

there's absolutely nothing wrong with it bro. I initially wanted to get it but the Snapdragon in 9s stole me away. Nonetheless, the RN9 is a superb device.

Omo wetin MTK low grade chipset do person ehn. Imagine person need to restart/shutdown phone first anyday wey person one download films before you fit by force see something do sef. Upon that lags go one make you commit suicide.

MTK has improved recently especially late last year/this year but the only MTK chip I really respect is G90T.
The touch, UI, UX, OS the gestures, subtle animations and style just makes me love the RN9s. Xiaomi users truly dey enjoy I swear.
The way I even dey enjoy this old MIUI 11 version sef ehn, I no wan upgrade to MIUI 12 until I fully gbadun this one.
