Paulmobo: Sorry for the long post guys, Good morning all.
PPR alert.
2nd time applicant
Good morning guys, I’ve been a silent reader since the previous thread. I learnt a whole lot on this thread and I say a big thank you to all those who take out time from their busy schedule to answer questions that people ask and help out in whatever little way they can.
My Canadian travel dream was birthed in 2018, I was applying to lambton college and one of the requirements then was ielts. I travelled to port harcourt for ielts exam and actually forgot my international passport in delta state where I was residing (my village people right ) and was not permitted to write the exam, na so my money take loss . I sha moved on to other things and found myself aspiring to japa again after seeing how our beloved country was not countrying.
I gained admission to canadore college in September 2021 and had to wait to get a new passport because mine was expiring soon before applying for the study permit. I applied for the study permit on the 16th of January and after waiting for so long that I felt like I was losing my mind, the heartbreaking refusal message came my way on the 2nd of August 2022. Omo I was highly devastated and depressed for a minute but i immediately applied for my GCMS notes which came out in less than 2 weeks and after seeing the visa officer’s concern stating my employment letter on file but no proof of income because I didn’t submit my own account statement, I started planning to apply again but had to wait because my sponsor who is my mum had executed contracts and my pof would have been lacking cause majority of the funds for pof was coming from her accounts. Fast forward to November 12 2022 I reapplied, my previous medical was updated on the 5th of December after sending one webform the previous day and the rest Is history because God perfected what he started.
What I did differently 1) I submitted my own statement of account. 2) My mum did a gift deed for which I only wrote a letter of gift deed and we both signed on it. 3) I wrote a letter of explanation which contained detailed explanations for every lump sum deposit in both mine and my sponsor’s account with documents to back them up. I also explained in this same letter the previous officer’s concern and what I was doing differently in this application to tackle it. 4) I prayed and fasted.
The joy I felt after receiving my ppr is immeasurable and I pray that everyone waiting would experience same feeling in Jesus’s name AMEN. Please if you can apply for your study permit yourself, I’ll advise you do. The first time I was refused, I used an agent but this time around I did it myself after gaining valuable insights from here and YouTube as well. I’m definitely not advocating against agents cause this thing stressful small sha but if you can do it yourself please take your time and make sure there’s no rush in your mind cause Canada study permit application will test your patience
Time line First application submitted January 16 2022 Biometrics February 16 2022 Upfront medicals February 17 2022 Medicals updated to pass March 03 2022 Application Refused August 02 2022

TradeSunMoore: Based on your profile and parent as sponsor your chances of approval ordinary should be high. Your mother needs to provide support documents for the funds. If business let her show all business related documents and invoices including reference letter from bank as well as letter of support and an affidavit of support. If employment let her show employment related documents including payslips and the Salary Account preferably in MBS Sorry to butt in big man, you made some really good point and I'll like to ask what are the business related documents a sponsor can arrange to convince VO of source of funds |

OLAMINREWA: Cheap is relative. What is cheap to me could be expensive to you. But I will recommend you do some search on schools in the Atlantic regions. Most schools don't require English test as long as you were taught in English while you were in school
GoodLuck Anyone know if Royal Roads University would settle for a Letter from my faculty that I was taught in English to show English proficiency instead of IELTS |

Arctic21: First, it is doable, and it depends on which area of the criteria you find challenging. Second, it also depends on your field of study. Third, the other factor is if you're looking for funding or not. You may consider St. Mary University in Nova Scotia or Memorial University of Newfoundland in NL.
Conclusion, it is achievable. Alright my bro, Thanks 🙏 |

Arctic21: University of Waterloo is one of the top universities in Canada, arguably among the top 10. All top universities in Canada are very competitive, especially for graduate studies. What determine your chances are combination of the following:
1. Bachelor's grade, particularly your GPA for the last two years; 2. Research proposal- relevance to scholarship objectives/research projects of the institution 3. Availability of supervisor, if your Msc is thesis based; 4. Number of applicants for the academic year 5. Quality of your recommendation letters
These are by no means conclusive, but move you towards acceptance.
1. Ava Jesus Christ, that sounds scary 😂, Know any schools for quick & easy admission? |

OLAMINREWA: Of course you can claim bolt as POF especially if you drive in LAG or ABJ with bigger returns...Just ensure that passengers transfer to your account and write bolt fare in their narrations. Also ensure you write BOLT COMMISSION in your own narration anytime you are sending money to bolt.
My program na PGC Oh okay Boss,🙏 |
