Good morning all,
Just found this thread now and I wan to believe I can get assistance.

My mechanic borrowed money from one of these loan companies and the company has been disturbing that they want to report him to me.

I told them I don't know what transpired between them and the guy,that they should not involve me .

They started disturbing first with calls,I bared all their lines and now they are now sending me messages both on WhatsApp and SMS that both of us are criminals that they will track us and arrest both of us,because he used me as a guarantor.

Please what should I do.?

I am very angry now and I tried to search for the company's address online to take them up legally but no traceable address

Bro,I don't want to be judgemental because I have also fallen a victim of single mother.

Your story is similar to mine.

When we started dating,she didn't tell me she has a boy for another man but in the middle of the relationship she told me.

Before we know what is happening,she got pregnant for me and she insisted I do court marriage.
I obliged and we got married.

Fast forward sha,my home was hellish as in wahala here and there,she abused my family members anyhow,she even wanted to beat my mother.

Eventually,I left her and moved on with my life.

She took my boy away and said,I will not have access to him again.

I left the boy for her,I know one day the I will meet the boy,so I don't bother to look for the boy as she is violent and can kill me.

I am happily married to another lady now and happiness is back in my life.

MY ADVICE
1.Leave her and even forget your child,because I doubt if she will be allowing you to see your child.
2.look for a serious lady,this time around do your research about the lady and if you are fine with your findings,go ahead and marry her.
3. Leave divorce now,you will still come back to it in future and for your information you are not loosing 50% of your properties.
4. Make sure you are far from this lady.

if it has something to do with any of these; project cost management, technical audit or quality control, OP continue and develop your career towards that path, if not just quietly leave the company to pursue your engineering career.

Besides, you working in Engineering firm is a plus to you as you are being exposed to engineering stuff everyday.

I am a graduate of physics, during my graduate training days,I was attached to HR/Admin department. I was very bitter because I have already started my Master in Info Tech.
Two years down the line, I just fell in love with HR/Admin works and today I am a Chartered Member of CIPM and also the HR/Admin Manager in the company I am working now.

In a nutshell, develop passion for what you are doing now and you will be happy with yourself later in life.

A company will send someone to beat up her debtor because he/she has not paid back his/her loan.what if the person dies in the hands of these people,how will they recover their loan?

Like I said,the worst they can do is to continue to disgrace the debtor,.
publishing debtor's name in newspaper is expensive oooo and charging debtor to court is expensive too.

Though I am not in support of borrowing money and not willing to payback.

Well,it's expected of you to pay back any loan you took if not for anything at least for helping those in that loan to keep their jobs.

On the other hand,the country is very hard to live in now,the purchasing power is fast declining and people must eat and meet up with their daily obligations.
The interest rates on these loans are killing,how can a company gives a loan for 7 days and charge 25%?

My advice,If you don't have money now,just go and look for the money and if you can't get it now,be picking their calls and keep reassuring them you will pay back as soon as you have the money.
They cannot arrest you,it is an unsecured loan , the worst they can do is to keep insulting and sending damaging messages to your contacts and these may affect your credit rating.
