Cocao: The reason why a lot of people find it difficult to truly settle abroad is that they came with the wrong intentions. You get a tourist visa, then purposefully fall out of status and start running helter-skelter because you can't rest. Why would you want to do that to yourself?
Alternatively, you can get a study visa if you put your mind to it, become a professional and the country will be willing to offer you a place to stay. There are various options available for that. You can go through plenty of scholarships available and from there sort yourself. You just need to be ready for the opportunity. Let your sponsor give you the funds or hustle it, write standardized tests, make Google your friend and you will surely see something that fits.
I wish you luck in whatever decision you make Thanks so much for advice.... With a second class lower degree, scholarships mayb almost impossible dat y am shying away from dat path..... I am still exploring other options sha... Las las, dem no dey tell man, na man go decide!!! |

Good day nairalanders, with the current situation of Nigeria the hardship is making many to take different decision on their career. Some are leaving bank job to travel outside, some are leaving lecturing job to relocate to first world country, some are opting for scholarships to move abroad, some are using tourist visa to migrate abroad. Among all these different route to travel abroad, I believe the best path is to go through study means with funding/scholarships but as the adage goes not all fingers are equal. Not everyone can meet the requirements for a student visa. I need candid advise from my wonderful nairalanders who has & still having the abroad experience to help me out in regard this decision I wanna make........ I graduated from university with a CGPA of 2.6(second class lower) reason been dat I sponsored myslf in school. I so mch do different hustle wen in sch to meet up demand as no family to help out & this affected my performance in school. But las las boy graduate. Finished my nysc, I must tell u it hasn't been easy. No job, I majorly depend on running errands for people & whatever change I see I use it to sustain myself but I can't continue this way. Recently, one of my oga that took me as a son said he loves my hustling spirit dat if I travel abroad with this kind of energy cus am 27yrs that I ll make it as abroad is not 4 lazy person. He is willing to sponsor me to travel to UK on a tourist visa to hustle. Now my questions; 1) is it wise for me to accept the offer as a young guy? 2) which first world country can I move to with a study visa with a second class lower university degree that accept sch fee payment on arrival not before arrival? |

alawiye2019: Greetings everyone. Applied from Lagos July 17th Visa issued August 29th.
Quick question: I have paid 6000 euros to my school and used 7000 Edubond to apply. My school fees still has balance on it to be paid. Do I need to fully pay the school fees before showing up at Ireland customs or I should be fine to go through and pay the balance there? I appreciate response. Congrats... PS which sch did u apply & did u use any agent? |

oprahm: Hey, don’t stress. You can use any copy you have to apply for admission and visa etc. The school will eventually ask for the official transcripts when you’re resuming though, that’s when you can tell your school to send to them directly. That’s what I did anyway. So you don’t waste money sending your transcript directly from your school anytime. Thanks 4 ur response... Someone in d senate can get me the original transcript (I mean d official one) through the back door with some little cash. But I jst wanna confirm if I ll seriously b needing the official copy for any verification. Even if I get to Ireland & d school ask 4 the official copy can I present d one i collected thru d back to dem or I ll still have to ask my university in Nigeria to send it on my behalf? I ll appreciate ur response... I love the great house |

Seg11: Try harder, through backdoor. You will get it. That way you can have the scanned copy + photocopy before sending it to the school. Thanks bro... Hello house, I appreciate the concise info this thread has given out to help student visa processing easier for those coming to Ireland to study... I have a questions I need someone here to help me answer, I applied 4 my university transcript but d uni TLD me they can't give me the original copy except they send it over to the higher institution that requires it but there is a student copy that can be handed over to me. My question is CAN I USE A TRANSCRIPT (STUDENT COPY) TO APPLY FOR SCHOOL ADMISSION & VISA? WILL THE IRELAND EMBASSY ACCEPT A STUDENT COPY TRANSCRIPT FOR VISA APPROVAL? Anyone who can help me with genuine info! |

Blessedolamide: Hi, The next intake is Jan/Feb, and you can start the processing now by applying to university/course of your choice, after which you start gathering documents for the visa application. Note that English language test like ielts/pte/toefl is required for the visa app whch means that even the university you will apply to may not require it, the embassy does. Thanks 4 ur response. You at well appreciated! |

Travel › Re: About Dominican Republic by samhardy: 12:03am On Aug 21, 2019 |
sojdan4real: The Dominican Republic is a North American, Carribean country. The country is located on Hispaniola, the first permanent European settlement. It is known for being the perfect resort spot and for having one of the best climates in the Caribbean. Its capital is Santo Domingo. The Dominican Republic must be distinguished from the Commonwealth of Dominica (Dominica) as these are two distinct countries.
The climate in the DR is often described as "the endless summer". The country has a warm, tropical climate all year round that is just perfect for reclining and relaxing on its several beaches. Dominicans dress lightly and employ fabrics like cotton. It is pretty much ok to visit the DR at any time of the year although temperatures drop during winter.
Family, food, and music are the heart of the Dominican Republic. The country's culture is a curious mix of different influences such as European and African. The Spanish culture is core in the Dominican Republic though. The country is mostly populated by "mestizos", people with mixed bloodlines of European (de facto Spanish) and Amerindian ancestry. DR is 73% mestizo, 16% Caucasian and 11% black. The DR is 90% Christian. Its official language is Spanish.
DR's cuisine also features a lot of Spanish, Taino, and African influences. Basic foods here are sauteed onions, fried eggs, fried cheese, avocado and they favour meats and starches over dairy products and vegetables. Some Dominican foods are Chicharron, yuca, casabe, pastelitos (empanadas), yams, etc.
Being a beautiful Carribean country, The Dominican Republic has a lot of beautiful resort and relaxation locations. Some lovely places to be are: Santo Domingo's Zona Colonial: This beautiful city offers many historical sites surviving from the colonial era such as ancient architecture now housing restaurants, shops, and hotels. The old colonial homes can also be found in this city. Punta Cana: This is a splendid resort destination where the white sands of the endless beach are blinding and the clear blue waters are hypnotizing. The beach here is bursting with activity and there are choice restaurants on the beach. Whale Watching in Samana Bay: From December through to March, thousands of humpback whales enter the waters of Samana Bay to mate. These whales of Samana Bay are a huge and most fascinating tourist attraction. Las Terrenas: If you are looking to enjoy the comforts of the city but with an easy escape route for relaxation- a beach destination, Las Terrenas is the ideal spot. This busy Dominican city has a laid back beachfront where one can always take a break from city life to relax whilst still being in the city. Jarabacoa: Because of this city's tropical climate, it is called "the city of everlasting spring". Against its scenic beauty it features mountains, pools, and waterfalls.
The country's main exports are cocoa, coffee, bauxite, meats, nickel, silver, sugar, and tobacco. There are two beautiful precious stones that can only be found in the Dominican Republic; Amber and Larimar.
Hotel accommodation in the Dominican Republic ranges from budget to luxury.
