Am beginning to think this recent US plan crash is a terror attack and perhaps they know it, but in other not to stir up fear, they decided to keep mute.

Am sure they are on top of the situation.

The plan crash are just too many recently in the US, and it's looking like those terror movies.

Dear nairalander, I need your help.
I got an admission to UK school through PGCE as a physics teacher and It has been confirmed that I am eligible to 29,000 pounds bursary which will be paid for 10 months installment by the UK government (2900 per month). Now the school that offered me a place based on the bursary reduced my initial deposit from 50% to 25% which is 4000 pounds, approximately 8m naira. The school is starting tis sept 2025 and I have to pay the deposit by May in order to process my visa. The problem now is that I don't have 8m to pay for deposit. Please if anyone knows where I can get loan based on this I will surely pay back as soon as I start collecting the bursary or any other information on how I can go through this will be appreciated. This is a golden opportunity and I don't want it pass me by.
Loan of that amount at the present time Nigeria, well I can't say sir.

Perhaps you can approach your bank, that's if you have a collateral that's worth the amount you wished to be loan.

Also, if you don't mind, can you share the sch name so some of us too can enjoy, My wife has a degree in Education (Religious Education) Perhaps we can apply for PG Teaching program also.

Also, the PG teaching program, can one go with dependant?

Thanks

I don't think its that bad, you can request a refund in case you were later not issued CAS.

I just don't understand what's happening with Wolverhampton.

No reply to mail for now, everything is silent, since they sent mail differing my admission to sept intake.

Nothing from them, I have emailed, but nothing yet. I haven't even been given an unconditional offer yet, despite all documents requested for in the conditional offer have been uploaded and they have been informed

HELLO GURUS IN THE HOUSE.
I NEED AN URGENT RESPONSE!!

Please I have so many questions, I need to know.

First, Anybody in Wolverhampton, does University of Wolverhampton requires bank statements before CAS issuance after payment of deposit.

Second, is it Advisable that I use my bank statement as POF being my wife's Sponsor who is the Main Applicants. The money will be in My account so I will be her sponsor. And Also I will applying with her as a dependant. My wife is the MA and I am the dependant.

Please I a want accurate information for better results pls
I think you will be needing your POF for CAS application sir.

It's part of the requirement for CAS issuance.

Your initial deposit
TB test
And your POF.

Now regarding your second question, I think you should be able to., does your wife bear your surname in her application?

Since she already indicated that's she's married and that has been supported with a marriage certificate, I think you should be able to use your own statement to cover for both individuals.

However, you may still need to confirm with people, or better still just split the money, Put about 38m into her own account for 28days and about 15 in yours you don't really need much Proof.

I am seeing the comments here very funny, like how many women put there aren't even circumcises?

Like seriously, especially in Nigeria, tell me the percentage?

It's an obvious fact that about 70% of our ladies are.
So why are you people making a fuse out of this?

If you gather 10 ladies in your street or university, maybe just 1 of them isn't circumcises..

So why are we just claiming woke now?

Quite unfortunate that many people here don't follow up with what's happening around the world.

Sometimes last week, Al-Jazeera ired on its channel a series documentary on how France came in some part of Africa during WWII and decided to take over the country as one of his.

It committed series of war crime amongst others..

Tunisia, Algeria and some part of the Asian country..
And even installed their own ruler in Cameron and a few other African countries.

Now the question is..
Why did Al-Jazeera aired such at a time like this?
And why are these nations suddenly waking up to say hey, we don't want french again..

Am not surprised these nations are kicking against the french, I think some of these documentary is kinda bad, bringing back some long forgotten pains...

It's a new age and time now, we all should learn to move on.

If we are priv to some of the abominables done by even our own fore father's we would be amazed.

This is how they'll sweet-talk the innocent masses, then when the bill is passed, implementation will trickle down to even POS operators and roadside vendors.

Very cruel and irresponsible generation of Politicians!
This man gets it
That's the trick bro, sadly, no one is exempted in reality. That's just the truth.

1m income annually, that's like earnings 83k monthly.

So if you earn 83k monthly, you are rich and not categorised as the poor that should be exempted, so you go pay income tax..

In fact, 70% of the POS vendors would have to pay the income tax

However, in the real sense in today's Nigeria, anyone earning below 150k should be considered poor considering the very high cost of basic commodity like food stuffs not to mention transport.

I just weak.

But annoyingly, the govt would use the narrative of exempting the poor masses as a public stunt to win the very gullible ones.

Car TalkRe: CNG Conversion: Projected Cost And Revenue Analysis Of CNG Program In Nigeria by samintegrity(m): 9:37am On Nov 21, 2024
BrosG007:
In my past articles, I did an analysis of value derived from converting your vehicle to LPG.

A lot of people pointed out that the government incentive is based on CNG, not LPG. So, ....today, we will be taking a closer look at the CNG option as prescribed in recent government policies. There is still a lot of confusion about it - this analysis will attempt to establish clarity in grey areas and also demonstrate, using available information and data, the viability and feasibility of this new policy. So, without further ado, here we go:

Unlike LPG which is Propane/Butane, CNG means Compressed Natural Gas and is mainly comprised of a composition made of Methane. To make this analysis easy to understand, we will use Petrol as the yardstick and basis of comparison, since petrol is a well understood quantum. We are going to look at four areas of impact.

1) Comparative Cost

2) Availability / Access

3) Investment Required + ROI

4) Practicality

1) Comparative Cost
To eliminate the comparative differences in energy efficiency and varying units of measurement in fuel types, I have decided to approach this from the perspective of energy density. This approach allows an equitable and constant value returned regardless of what type of fuel is addressed. The standard unit of measuring energy density across board is the "Megajoule" (MJ).

Price of Petrol = N925 / Litre

Price of CNG = N230 / scm

Energy in 1 scm of CNG = 40MJ

Energy in 1 Litre of petrol = 34.2MJ

From the above data, we can deduce the following:

1 scm (cubic metre) of CNG = 1.169 litres of petrol

Therefore, using a typical example of a full tank (60 Litres):

- With Petrol; 60L of fuel will cost N55,500 (@ N925/L)

- With CNG; Equivalent energy amount will require 60/1.169 = 51.33 scm of CNG. Approximate it to 52 scm of CNG. Therefore 52 scm of CNG will cost N11,960 (@ N230/scm).

CNG presents excellent value. As far as cost goes, there is no comparison. CNG will save you over N43,000 every time you fill up your tank! This is a very significant amount that needs no further pontification.

2) Availability or Access to Fuel Type
NIPCO is the strategic partner of FGN in the retail of CNG. Presently, Benin city in Edo state can be considered the CNG capital of Nigeria. Benin city was used as NIPCO test pilot for the CNG program and as such, Edo has 15 CNG filling stations spread all over the cities. Attempts are being made to expand similar service to Lagos, however to the best of my knowledge, right now Lagos only has 6 filling stations with the biggest one being located in Ibafo (along Lagos-Ibadan expressway). Abuja also has 6 new filling stations. Ibadan in Oyo state has one filling station. The rest of the nation will have to wait until such a time as Tinubu remembers them! I discovered the one serving Lekki peninsula is in Awoyaya - 40 minutes drive for me! As far as accessibility, I will give it a "E" mark at this point. Nevertheless, there is hope things will keep improving. Truth is, except for those within close proximity to these filling stations and those living in Benin city, CNG is not yet a viable alternative.

3) Required Investment + ROI
I have called up to six different installers spanning across three states. The quoted cost of installation varies wildly. I have had quotes as high as >>> CONTINUE READING 👇

https://www.naijalpg.com.ng/2024/09/cng-conversion-projected-cost-and.html
You people should stop this analysis..

How much was a liter of fuel sold for before all this brouhaha?

Was it not around #160/l?

If we're buying today at #160/l who would be thinking CNG?

All this just to make us feel like we have a better option is a scam.

Soon, when we have enough people on CNG, I can bet it with you, another government would come, and tell us they have also been paying Subsidy on CNG and so therefore they can no longer again.

I read sometimes ago, that a litter of kerosene now sells above #2000/l like seriously who do us in Nigeria.

A kg of LPG gas now is also around #1300/kg

Like seriously this country is tiring..

The reality of the average Nigerian is theory? Lol.

I was in Nigeria as early as last year. See, it is not theory. I experienced it. The suffering of Nigerians is not theory. It is real. Spaghetti is over 1k. ONE PACK OF SPAGHETTI IS OVER 1K. Does that make sense to you? Are you happy buying spaghetti for over 1k? A bag of rice is over 100k. ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND FOR A BAG OF RICE. Is that fine by you?

Those Superstores you casually dismissed as a non-Nigerian thing, have Nigerians working in/with them as cashiers, securities, distributors, suppliers, attendants, and managers. Real Nigerians without the privileges you enjoy, have had their means of livelihood truncated because of how bad the economy is. But because it does not affect you, everything is fine.

Yam, indeed, is cheaper here than it is in Nigeria, even though the UK does not grow yams. I know you cannot wrap your head around it. And that's okay.

The drivers in your company is earning 110k. Great. How many drivers earn that amount monthly?

Now, consider the cost of food all across the nation. One pack of spaghetti is 1k. A crate of eggs is almost 6k. Even someone who earns above 200k is complaining. Things are bad in Nigeria bro. Go outside. From Lagos to Maiduguri. Do you know a tuber of yam is cheaper here than it is in Nigeria? Here, with 10 pounds, (less than the minimum wage), you can stock up food that will last you for a week. These are the issues.

Omo!! In this same Nigeria?

The issue I have with what you are saying is the fact that everything you've been saying is "me, me, me, me, me". You are just one out of 200m people. How are others surviving? Do you go to the market? Are people happy? Are Nigerians happy? Remove the focus from yourself for a minute and imagine the pains of millions of Nigerians.

I lived in Lagos bro. I experience these. The aviation industry is experiencing issues because people cannot afford to fly, mostly. Lagos to Abuja, one-way flight, is about 100k. I flew from London to Nuremberg for 28 Euros. That is about 55k. Can't you see the differencehuhhuh

You should not be bragging about 24-hour light in 2024. You don't get it?? Electricity is not a big deal here. Nobody celebrates 24 hours of light here. It is a constant k. That is the level we want Nigeria to get to.

Nigerians never rely on their salaries, maybe because it is never enough? You can live well on your salary here, whether you are a carer washing bum bum, a security, or the CEO of an organization. If you plan enough, you salary is enough to sustain you and live a good life.

Again, read up on credit-based systems. It is not a bad thing. Also, know that not everyone automatically qualifies for credit. You have to be creditworthy. On a good day, I want to be in a country that works. And we need Nigeria to work for not just people like you, but for everyone.

We are not vacation people? Simply because we can't afford it grin. How would you know the value of a thing if you have not experienced it?

Security guards live in their own houses and buy cars, in Nigeria? Do you mean Dangote's security or that man that guards the banks and asks you for 100 Naira to feed when you go to deposit money?

Again, read up about credit-based systems. Whether you purchased It outright, or with credit, it is yours.

Again, look away from yourself. You are just one out of a million people. You probably have access to insurance. How many Nigerians can afford insurance? How many communities in Nigeria have access to the government hospital you have access to? In the case of an emergency, you Nigerians access an ambulance?

You need to understand how the medical/health system here works. You do not just have access to random drugs. People bring drugs because it is not easy to buy drugs here. The system is regulated to prevent abuse of drugs. A report says that some strains of malaria are now resistant to some antibiotics we use in Nigeria because of abuse. Is that okay?

No bro. I have spent about 9 months here, since that time:

- No blink in my electricity. For 9 months. I do not even think about electricity again. It is a constant k for us here
- I have never heard of fuel scarcity or seen a fuel queue.
- Food is cheap. If I work for 3 hours, I can buy food that we last me for a month. I want Nigerians to have this same privilege
- I applied for a Schengen visa after two months here. I got it. Access to over 20 countries. I am not sure I will even get an interview date in Nigeria.

Moving to the UK has changed my life Bro and I wish every Nigerian will experience the change in life I have too. If anyone does not fancy japa and wants to stay in Nigeria, that's okay too. That means we have to ensure Nigeria works for everyone.

There is no way you will experience abroad and think we are doing well in Nigeria. No way!
Bro pls I beg you don't respond to him again, please.

Who in their right sense compares Nigeria to the UK? Pls who?

A kg of gas now is around #1800, a litre of Petrol in most filling station is around #1250.
