Sunnyja: In 2016, they justified the suffering of the people saying Bubu met low oil prices at $28 per barrel. In 2022, at $80 per barrel the suffering will now be doubled? Wonderful!
I wanted to say same bro..
In fact, they said Jonah had excess money to run the govt with because oil sold for 100$/barrel and that buba met oil at $28/barrel and as such no funds to run the govt.
Now its keeps increasing yearly and yet nothing to show for it..
$80 now ooo and we are hearing same story..
I just can't wait for the general election in 2023
Cokahot: Rewire knows what to do,it's like king means relay switch has parked up,tbey willtap a wire from the relay outlet, under steering to passengers side with 2k thermostat either inside glove compartment or under glove box but it will be wired. I wasted money buying new relay,e o even rol the compressor sef and me sef no get time dey stress myself. Naso I waste 80k for something of 5k. Don't change anything again. Mine started blinking after 5months,changed compressor, bought Condenser, radiator, every, still blinKing, till a rewire did the magic. Nigeria is dead
I support you sir, it's most likely a relay issues, a pipe leak won't cause ac light to blink. And moreso it's a Camry, that's the most indicator to show a faulty relay
SavageResponse: It is obvious that you have never managed a business before that is the reason you are vibrating here!
I will break it down for you...
If an average sized supermarket has to employ 2 people working shifts to man their CCTV it would lead to an increase in overhead costs.
In order for them to still maintain their profitability they would have to increase the price of items they sell by about N5 each; when they do that people like you will come online to whine and lament that supermarket XYZ sells a carton of noodles for N2,605 while Mama Bose down the street sell the same carton of noodles for N2,600.
You would then go round telling everyone who cares to listen that things are very expensive in that supermarket thereby discouraging potential customers from going there.
The fact is that consumers in Nigeria are very sensitive to price increases therefore if you want to remain competitive you need to keep your operational costs low especially if you are not in a monopolistic market...this is the reason why most small supermarkets will not pay 2 people to do nothing but just sit and watch CCTV with the hope of catching shoplifters.
By the way the store that was set on fire by the mischievous girl was not in Lagos, it was Ebeano supermarket in Abuja.
You see why I said it's obvious your mindset is one of the problems of the country..
You see impossibilities, I see possibility...
Pls tell me, do the store staff works shifting??
Or does the store open 24hrs a day??
The store obviously run like every other store from probably 8am to 8pm which is the same hours all staff operates..
If the cashier doesn't do shift, why then should they employ someone to be doing shift just to monitor cctv live recording??
Is it not obvious that all that's needed also is someone to stay out just like everyother person minding their post..
And also you talked about minding cost, I understand you clearly bro, I am just stating the obvious, if all the gateman does is to open the gate and close..
Why then do they need a gateman if they can simply just leave the gate open wide till after close of work when the last staff would have to shut the gate??
There are other redundant staff that could be reposition to other post...
I'll give an example..
There's also this store where I reside, they have the place jam-packed with cctv but no one monitors..
You can see their screen left one corner..
Now they have 2 staffs at the entrance of the store doing just one silly thing.. stamping your receipt... Pls tell me for what?
Why shd they have two individuals at the entrance to stamp your receipt and probably provide a cover just in case someone shouts theifffffff??
Isn't it obvious that one of them could have been posted to man the live recording and feedback the man at the entrance of any one pickpocketing??
Now do you want to tell me, that several items won't have gone Missing??
Am sure on a daily basis, some customers would steal items on shelves and no one would know..
But imagine if there's someone monitoring everything via the cctv stand, you'd be amazed the numbers of items the store would have recovered..
Now back to the story, ever ask yourself why this store owner decided to check cctv recording to know what actually went wrong?
Simple, it was because the item stolen is needed, and can't go missing without you knowing..
Now sir, imagine several things that is missing in the store but yet not noticed, why because the store as several other items to replace it....
Am sure even if they take their time to check thru, some if the staffs would be found wanting...
Pls sir, again don't tell me it's not possible.
It's not possible simply because you don't want to...
SavageResponse: Do your even have any idea the cost impact of paying at least 2 people to do shift to monitor CCTV shift in a supermarket where the profit margin is very thin?
Sir, pls ask the store owner in Lagos whose store was razed down because of this issue.
How much do you need to pay your staff to monitor cctv recording pls tell me??
The store alone as over 10 staffs so what else are u saying sir??
This your mindset is part of the reason why Nigeria is where it is today.
nedekid: Large shops like justrite, Shoprite can afford to have a couple of dedicated staff watch cctv. You don't expect a small shop with 4 workers to have dedicated cctv observer. The purpose of the cctv is to act as deterrent, also for review if a crime is suspected or is committed.
Let me shock u, Even ShopRite doesn't have a dedicated personal to monitor...
Banks also doesn't..
Pls tell me, who needs a dedicated personal staff to monitor most if not bank?
And yet they don't..
And pls don't call this store small pls..
A store Like this with over staff strength of 10 isn't small.
I don't think Nigerians really understand the importance of installing a cctv ..
How can you install a cctv and not have someone monitoring always to ensure things like this don't happen..
Same way a girl went and burnt down a big store and yet all this was caught on cctv however no one was monitoring not until the store was almost raised down.
See.. cctv is not for just recording events as they unfold..
Someone must always be glued to it, monitoring, infact taking shifts ..
So the instant issues like this happen, u just apprehend him instantly..
Now u are busy looking for him, something you could have apprehended him right on that spot .
Same thing with banks..
This country we have Soo many learned individuals behaving so unlearned...
speedfreak: Update: Replaced both MAF sensor and the upstream 02 sensor, sluggishness disappeared immediately , still have a glowing check engine light but I'll scan and troubleshoot on Saturday. Thanks for the recommendations
misterme: I couldn't vote. I wanted to vote Jonathan. I stood in long queues for hours for several days trying to get my PVC. I still couldn't. Many people didn't get theirs. Meanwhile small northern boys who do scrap metal business near my place were receiving calls from their friends and relatives in the North to come and collect their PVC's which the said relatives have collected from INEC. I, a grown man, could not get mine in the South. In the North, small boys were being begged to collect theirs. INEC officers went from house to house to deliver voters card to people, including relatives of actual owners of the cards in the north. Prof Jega dealt with the south. He disenfranchised us and gave Mr Buhari victory
Bro I don't think it's jega fault oo..
I feel it's our people over Sabi here that's causing most of our electoral problems..
Imagine, down here ordinary inec cleaner will be feeling like a boss anytime it's close to election time..
Same way gas/petrol attendant do feel like when there's a small fuel scarcity..
U can imagine bro.
In north nothing of such..
Most of our problems bro is from our very own people
speedfreak: Hello Nairalanders, I have a 2012 inline 4 Honda Accord coupe, car has been an absolute thrill, zero issues, no stress until three months back, travelled out of town for work, spent a little of three weeks, car was undriven during the whole time. came back and all hell broke loose, first AC wouldn't changed the in cabin filter, Flushed and refilled, Problem solved, had issues cranking the car, battery was on its way out, so I replaced. Issue now is the car is slow as f**k, overtaking and hill climbing is such a chore, especially when the engine is under load(AC on). Yes i have scanned, yes check engine is on. Don't have the results as i wasn't there but mech said its only cold start sensor that appeared under powertrain codes.
Its a little better if i put the selector in D3, As advised by my mechanic i've replaced the following: 1. Injector nozzles(All 4) with a complete assembly from oyingbo 2. Cleaned throttle body(process was a b***h because i took forever to successfully relearn the correct idle position ) 3. Changed all 4 spark plugs twice(Honda branded first, NGK next) 4. Two faulty distributor wires 5. Transmission Fluid Change(Did the recommended flush and refill x3 couldnt get DW1 for the 2nd but have drained and refilled with DW1) 6. Fuel pump assembly 7. Throttle Position sensor 8. Air filter Even after the car still accelerates like a diesel truck, mech is tired says to just manage it like that. I'm a loyalty person so i haven't changed mechanics but i'd be open to doing just about anything to solve this problem. I'm in Lagos, Gbagada to be precise. NB: Noticed that my upstream 02 sensor is disconnected, plug is broken so i couldn't connect myself, took it to my mechanic and he says replace, Paid twice but he say's he can't get a working one and advised against going myself because i'd be easily swindled on a part like that, read about the open and closed loop operation of oxygen sensors so could this be the culprit? cc Gazzuz Nurey Kingreign
Why do I even feel that mech is the one scamming you sir..
He obviously doesn't have an idea of what's wrong, hence the need to keep pushing money.
Moreso, a simple obd scan should at least give you a clear direction sir..
That said, it's a rewirer work sef not your mech..
Hollawayn05: Greetings great minds My gold 3 keeps showing temperature light and reading upto 100 f immediatly I ignite even without kicking, got it as a Nigerian used and the radiator was faulty so I 5jought that was it, had to change the radiator but the sign still persist and temp keep coming up
Am a first timer and it keeps me worried
Check the cold switch/temperature gauge sensor bro..
Cokahot: I just changed my radiator today and I have sworn that I will never buy from dealer again. Na iaai be my next target. What remai ns now is to check if my engine has thermostat and if my groundnut has not been removed. Cos my engine na 3.0 and if I buy fuel of 3k,my tank is 6k full. If I buy fuel of 3k,na just for that day. Me sef do taya. But I have changed it to factory radiator,it remains for the to disconnect the direct fan cos mine na double cell. But on jepo. I no fit afford am. I have done every, even sef I bought better gas mileage liquid. No diff. My former Honda was giving me 14mpg,but this one if I dey city na 5 to 10mpg. Highway 15. Me don taya. I shall never buy accidented car again, esp if na front impact.
Why did you buy a V6 engine bro..??
You could have just gone for cars with better fuel efficiency nau bro..
GAZZUZZ: If the head cylinder was taken to a machine shop and properly skimmed you have no issues. If not you might see milkyway with a touch of misfires after a few days.
Ok bro
Thanks..
As regard the downstream O2 sensor, just as I updated some days ago, the socket I saw was and is it's connector...
I just removed the cut out plug now..
If you look at the picture I uploaded earlier, you'd discover that its own downstream O2 sensor is located right below the front catalyst converter, almost an inch away..
Pls, I want to ask, my car gasket has been changed by previous owner, possibly cos of overheating..
I asked the cause thou, he said he didn't noticed on that is fan weren't working hence the reason for the blown gasket..
Now my question is this, can I still get the fan return back to factory settings??
If yes, won't it have any effects on the new gasket? Cos I had my mech looked at it sometimes ago and he simply inspected the gasket and concluded that NO.
I had to run on a single fan in other to avoid PO128 and maintain car temperature gauge staying in the middle...
aryzgreat: What else could be wrong, there is no leakage or fluid shortage in the radiator
Change the front O2 sensor.. I also got that open loop due to insufficient engine temp.. although mine also brought out an error code for air/fuel ratio sensor
So I changed the O2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1.. and that fixed it..
aryzgreat: Pls connect me to a good mechanic in Benin. P0125 & P0128 codes are showing on scan. I have to disconnect one of the fans at the moment to make the coolant warm up a bit.
Now the problem is that the downstream O2 sensor on the previous main exhaust is located by the curve that connect from the upper catalyst converter down to the exhaust pipe .. but it's wires were already cut off, so no way to locate where it connected to
Now I have searched searched and searched, I can't seems to locate the downstream O2 connector..
I meant the plug in that normally drops down from behind the engine where you connect the O2 sensor to .
I do hope you get my explanation...
Engine is throwing the code of that downstream O2 sensor (bank 1 sensor 2) and am eager to replace but no plug in connector at all...
I have inspected severally, gone under the car while checked nothing, open bunnet check thoroughly nothing..
