We understand engine or gear mount, but which one is torque converter?? That's in the gear box nau..

I use Civic 2006. I get at least 280miles (462km) from full tank until the yellow light comes up. I think something is wrong in your car. Run a scan and pull out the codes let's look at it.

The 4th spark plugs is bad.
Clean your throttle body

Go to YouTube and check how to replace you MAF air sensor. Or check of the wiring to the sensor is bad/cut

The MAF can also be cleaned bro, just in case it's dirty

Already we can see from your scan that you have a cylinder misfire..

You may try changing the spark plug or coil for thst cylinder..

Also have your mechanic spray your MAF with a cleaner and possibly the MOUTH.

then check for hose leaks.

The second O2 sensor shown can be ignored.

However fix the ones I mentioned above urgently.

I trust our pple here will do justice to the rest.

It is a minor issue. The speed censor is the culprit. Either it has shifted, or the wire connecting it was removed and not properly fixed or it is faulty. Your gear specialist/mechanic will need to remove the air filter box and check all connections property.

I had similar experience with a Corolla, and alas it was just the plug that wasn't connected properly..

I mentioned above that he needs to physically inspect all connecting cable to the gear..

Your gear is good sir, just a missing connection.

My gear box had a crack at one of the bolt on top of the gear sump and we had to bring it down to patch d crack, gear was installed back refused selecting and speedometer not reading anymore

I think one of the gear connecting cable or plug is not properly connected..

Have your rewirer or yourself take a good closer look at all plugs/cable to the gear.

I had similar issues a year ago, took my Corolla to a mech for a gear oil seal fix.

We dropped the engine and gear, after fixing the seal, gear wouldn't shift and also, the rpm gauge was on 0. No reading at all .


I was mad scared bro, not until we removed the battery, removed the air fuel filter box and behold the gear sensor plug was not connected.


Pls inspect all plugs thoroughly.

Those codes were there before, I didn't just felt the need to fix it, but I recently read the fuel tank pressure sensor too could affect the fuel efficiency.

Don't know how true thou.

I reached out to Gazza, and he gave me a hint..

I wanted to buy the 22mm O2 sensor Socket from Gazza, but he didn't have ..

So he suggested I buy the Normal 22mm socket and get a welder to cut it out..

Which I did this morning, bought the normal socket, have my welder cut it out and weld a small pipe to extend its housing..


Victory at last, both sensor removed and replaced..


However, or unfortunately, only the second one worked.

As the one I removed from the sensor 1 is different from the one sent to me..

I have reached out to luvinghubby, will feedback once I get it all sorted out..

When i had this issue, i cut offf d wires of d sensor, used a long 22mm socket, hand d tighthened d new one and dat was it u cab eveb use a 22 flat to try tighten a bit. I later got the 02 sensor wrench. Wld have sent it to u but ill need to search a lot of boxes. Dat time is d problem

O2 sensor 1 is responsible for closed loop operation when the car gets to operating temperature.

Post catalytic O2 sensor basically tells u about the catalyst. Has no business with fuel consumption.
Your catalytic converter is over 200k last time I checked.

Secondly, hope you bought brand new O2 sensor 1.

To replace that O2sensor1 on bank 1 requires a special spanner cos of the tight cylindrical shell it sits in.
Some people remove that shell completely.

On my way home, I decided to refill the ac gas, na so the guy mistakenly removed the battery just to set it properly..

You won't believe it, i start the car, it moved, only for me to rav and nothing happens..


You won't believe me if I say that I almost lost my mind oo..

Na so I drag ham go my rewire place, he checked all the fuse, nothing and then he decided to check the brainbox.

It was then we discovered that the connecting cable to the Brian box had slightly open..

Bro, if u try fuses, relay and nothing, pls check the brainbox..

That car is tooo electrical than mechanical...

There's no issues with your car mechanically..

I just bought an Honda Civic 2007 European Spec..

Heard several stories about how fuel efficient it is

However, to my surprise I really haven't seen much, as it zap my fuel..

Scanned it and it brought out PO135, PO141 and some other emission code..


The above codes indicates an issues with the two Oxygen Sensor on the car.

Mearly inspecting, you could see that the O2 sensor Bank 1 Sensor 2 has been cut off while sensor 1 is still connected..

But since the code indicate issues with the two sensors, I have been trying to get them around my place at akure but non of the spare parts dealer I know seems to have

So, Pls am in need of both air fuel ratio sensor and oxygen sensor for Honda civic 2006 European spec..

You can see picture of the air fuel ratio sensor (oxygen sensor 1 bank 1 )

However, I dont have any picture to display for the second Oxygen Sensor ( O2 sensor 2 bank 1)
