Go to infinixbbs forum, download tf 1106 update and flash via recovery .

Pls dont get me wrong sir, u need to unroot before flashing yr 1023 recovery, and yes it will overide philz . Just unroot, go to infinixbbs forum, download tf 1106 update, extract it, u shd see a folder named update.zip, copy it to the root of ur sd card, den boot to recovery, u shd see install zip from sd , select it and locate update.zip, den select and wait for it to flash.

U shd kindly read my msg u quoted again incase u wanna flash ur old recovery so as to understand better

Will it fully unroot when SuperSU is flashed through recovery? how about updating through ota with a custom recovery still On, would that have effect? Have you unroot before and updated?

I haven't unroot den upgraded via ota b4, buh i av came across pple wif such comments on this very thread who as buh i can confirm to u dat i av unroot and re flashed my 1023 recovery thru sp flash, same way u flashed Phil recovery, jst load d sctter file of d latest lollipop Rom u av den untick all expect d recovery, i meant only d recovery shd b ticked, den download only. Immediately after d successful flash, boot ur phone into recovery, u will av ur stock recovery back.

Thank goodness I found this thread, upon flashing 1023, there was no single font in the font manager, which wasn't so before, cos i really enjoyed the font on subsequent release, so then I had to wait 2 solid weeks for 1106 update, which i upgraded using the tf version released, stil no font In local and won't download either online. I was forced to root jst to install my favorite font which is* sofadione * after several attempts to get it to work proved abortive, i had to unroot immediately after installing the font. What cud be the problem?? And hope the nxt update wud solve this?

I run many apps on my phone without having to close one for the other which in turn results into lagging, most importantly recently with the latest 1106 update from infinix, can't seems to enjoy d 2gig ram any longer, need a smoother running of my smartphone.

U will need to do like 4 ota update, once u av done dat of 25mb, check again, u shd get anoda update, check again after, u shd receive anoda. Till u get to d one in d pic i attached, btw anoda update shd b release dis Friday. So i suggest u get to it

If i get u correctly sir, you said before the upgrade?? Then if yes, your device isn't rooted sir which means you can upgrade. Buh if after the upgrade you root, then I suggest you unroot it using super user which shd b visible on ur device if u still rooted

Upgrade it to d latest version, its obvious dey flashed old update 4 u. Search for OTA update den u will b able to change to 3G only, or beta still download mtk Droid toil and use to change.

Oh.. Thank goodness, someone experienced it. The phone is so dead sis, i think fixing a new board is d solution as av tried flashing its rom which proves abortive, unless of course someone as a sure tested way of bringing it back to life.

Lenovo as nice phone buh it scares me biko, one of my broda bought K900, which never reach a year, all of a sudden while operating d phone, it went dead.. I meant dead, it won't power on, charge or whatsoever, mind u it was fully charged b4 going into coma..

I Googled, came up wif flashing it, i tried it nufin apn, to my surprise lot of people all over the world are experiencing the sudden death of their lenovo.
