If you have a long layover like me (20 hours) . You are entitled to get a visa to stay in a hotel for free, get free meals (buffet) and tour Doha (Qatar airways).

Yes, I did. I’m the primary applicant while he is the dependant. His visa is same duration as mine so he can stay or visit at will. To do this though, make sure your sop is strong and you have strong ties in Nigeria. To be on the safe side most agents will advice that one partner applies first and thereafter their spouse can apply after some months. Frankdotcom: I hope you find, but I'd like to ask if you applied with your spouse? |

I wrote to my school international admissions concerning deferring since resumption is on 17th of this month and I can't meet up cause I applied for my visa on the 19th of May. Thankfully they have September intake and they only mentioned issuing a new COE. I hope this helps. I suggest you write them and confirm. Pappibearr: Hi guys, if I defer my admission due to late feedback from the embassy. Would i need to do a new gte assessment with the school, and what happens if I get my visa despite deferring my admission till months later |

They do. I got a mail when they sent mine to Australia Home Affairs. The mail just showed the day it was submitted and the name of the tests I did, not the result. But if you want a copy of yours to see the results as well. you have to mail them to request for it . I think some persons even see the doctor at IOM to confirm if their result is ok as I saw on a vlog on YouTube (Canada immigrant). If you go to Canada group on Naira land you will see such information too. tochi0155: I thought they will send the test result directly to immegration ? |

You applied July 6th right? If so; 19-6 = 13 days. Even if we add the 6th making it 14 days I think it’s still within 14 days since your application or did I miss something? utrills: Please house I need your advice. I applied for my visa on the 6th which was Thursday last week. Got appointment in abuja for medical on 10th monday which was yesterday. I tried booking for my biometric but the website was down from then all through the weekend. I managed booking yesterday when it started working ,I was given appointment on the 19th. From the visa slip,I am suppose to do the biometric within 14days of receiving the letter. Counting from that 6th that I got the letter, it will be 16days. I tried going to their office in abj to plead with them to,they said nothing can be done that I should wait for my appointment.
I have not been comfortable since then. Have anyone experienced such. Should it be a thing to worry about? |

Please read the chats and conversations again. I read yours. No harm intended either. Just read and understand. If you have more information on the form, kindly give it as well. I believe everyone is here to learn, ask questions and get information before starting their process or while waiting. It’s normal for me to ask my agent just “in case” it’s necessary to submit the form, since I’ve not heard of it before. Please read it from previous chats. aodis: What I stated was simple and I well understood what you wrote. Likewise did you see the word “ever think”? Now that’s the word you should not. For you to even think you need to take those steps . No harm meant 🤷🏼♂️ |

Kindly read the conversations and understand first. I clearly said I haven’t heard of it, and will contact my agent to see if it’s necessary I submit, before Pappi Bear gave information on what it is for. aodis: You guys are too quick to rush, haven’t you been cleared for medicals. Did you request for your medical results from IOM? NeuroToby: Well, they sent a mail yesterday that I should fill form 815 (health undertaking). I submitted it already and I'm expecting their reply. Has anyone had to deal with this kind of scenario before?
I believe you should have heard from them too, since you applied a day after I did. |

I applied on the 19th of May. Form 815? Is my first time hearing of it, I googled it. I’ll have to contact my agent and submit one if necessary just in case. I’m sure they will give you a grant if they only asked for the form. There is a outbreak of a new virus in the Middle East and Africa, could that be the reason for the form NeuroToby: Well, they sent a mail yesterday that I should fill form 815 (health undertaking). Agents and their I don’t care attitude. The agent ought to have informed you. I find myself doing more research and work than mine. Try to go on the nearest available date, still talk to your agent, if you can add letter of explanation to be on the safe side. I’ve read a case here where the visa was granted notwithstanding the delay in biometrics. Obaese99: Mine also has 14days.. I never paid attention to the referral letter before now. I’m just confused, my agent is saying there is no need for the letter of explanation. I should just go for the biometrics on the nearest available date. |

On my request for biometrics letter from their home affairs, it was stated that my biometrics be done within 14 days after I applied. You should check yours to avoid stories. On mine, it's states that failure to do it within 14 days , you have to write a letter of explanation and upload on your immi account or face refusal. I suggest you submit the letter of explanation and go for you appointment ASAP. Give concrete reasons why you missed it. Obaese99: Please, i will like to ask the house for advise. my visa was lodged on the 22nd of June and i tried booking for medicals and biometrics they both gave me same date 7th of July, (IOM & VSF) Lagos.
Though the medicals date was selected by IOM themselves due to an error message from their site, so i sent them a mail to complain and they replied with 7th June as the only available date. unfortunately i was not able to meet up with the biometrics after my medicals at IOM Ikeja as i got there 40mins behind the appointment time. I was advised by the VSF staff at the gate to reschedule the appointment as they can not allow me in. From the available date on VSF website the most convenient date for me is 21 July.
I want to ask if this will not affect my visa processing, as it will mean my biometrics will be done 4weeks after my visa application.
i need your advise please. |

It wouldn’t affect your visa processing at all. Thank God you did the medicals first cause to get a date with them is difficult. The visa processing is slow, they haven’t even attended to us May Applicants. My application is 7 weeks old as of today 🙈. NB: on my request for biometrics from Australia home affairs, I was given 14 days after visa application to do biometrics.check yours. Mine is May 19th. I’m hopeful you will get reply by Monday. That one will give those of us waiting hope. Don’t forget to update us here. The waiting can ruin someone’s day, cause one can’t even make other plans cause you are awaiting visa outcome. Ngumex: Nigeria Visa is processed in South Africa along with other African Countries. Pakistan Visa is not Processed in SA. Lodged my Visa May 11. I Never see Response.
I am still trying to understand why the timeline for Nigeria or Africa is different. Is it that they are reluctant? The mistake i just regret making was booking for a flight. It is well |

Really, I didn’t know but I didn’t say he/she has to pay another fee, I only mentioned lodging another visa application. I’m unaware if it’s compulsory to pay or not (the poster needs to do some research on that) If visa has already been granted - I feel poster might pay If visa was not granted before the admission was deferred - you simply update your documents (COE & bank statement (if requested or necessary) aodis: My friend you will not pay a new application fee! You will just update the new COE and probably your bank statement balance |
Travel › Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by samlaura16: 10:06pm On Jul 06, 2023 |
You can defer but you will need a new COE and you will have to lodge another visa application -The student visa processing time is now longer so choose a semester that gives you enough time to get another visa grant - Your bank statement will be updated to fit the new floating exchange rate - The Australia home affairs has changed some policies that affects student visa. You have to read up on that on their website BlezinR: Hi guys, is it possible to defer admission to next intake after visa has been granted and are they any implications? |

Within same duration, it took a week to pay my school fees and insurance. After sending the required documents I got feedback in a week. It depends on when you make payment and submit what they require I guess. My COE was out in a week Mrajah231: How long did it take to get your coe from torrens |
