Please, is there anyone here who did ICES evaluation and they sent it with standard mail? How long did it take for the ECA to get to Nigeria from Canada using standard mail? Did they give you a call when they wanted to deliver it? I would really appreciate a response.

Before you get the original, FRSC would have forgotten that they did recruitment. Take it with you there. There is no harm in trying. AutosBay: *FULL REPORT ON THE MEETING BETWEEN N-POWER BENEFICIARIES WITH THE MONITORING TEAM HELD AT THE T-BLOCK, LAGOS STATE SECRETARIAT, ALAUSA, IKEJA.*
To start with, the interactive session commenced around 10:20AM with various dignitaries present, among the distinguished individuals were Mr. Afolabi Imoukhuede; SSA to the President on Job Creation and Youth Employment, State's Commissioner of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation [(WAPA); Mrs. Lola Akande, Chairman NOA Lagos; Mr. Wahab, , Honourable member of the Lagos State House of Assembly and the State's Focal Person, Mrs. Olushola Falana and others.
OPENING SPEECH: The Lagos State's Commissioner of Women Affairs & Poverty Alleviation opened the meeting with a welcome address on behalf of the Lagos state Governor, His Excellency Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode.
MATTER ARISING: The eloquent and ever-prepared SSA to the President took up the microphone to address the beneficiaries on the General Overview of what Npower is all about. He went on by expressing dissatisfaction over the late commencement of the program in Lagos State that was characterised by several flaws from the Lagos State Government. In his words; "Lagos state is known as the *Centre of Excellence*, but regarding N-Power Program, it has been somehow and I ask for more improvement as the program progresses."
DECEMBER & JANUARY STIPENDS : Mr. Afolabi did not mince words by categorically saying beneficiaries in the state will not receive December and January stipends due to late verification exercise. He emphatically said that the volunteers didn't work for those months and that payment start from the time we concluded our verification and the reports were sent to them which was February.
RESPONSE: Mrs. Lola Akande stood up and strongly condemn what Mr. Afolabi had said regarding Dec and Jan stipends, she however pleaded on behalf of the beneficiaries for FG to look into it. A Distinguished Honourable Member of Lagos state House of Assembly representing the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Obasa also supported her by saying the funds had been made available and that it is a two years program. He later told Mr. Afolabi to ensure all Lagos State volunteers are paid all the 24 months.
ISSUES BEDEVILING NPOWER BENEFICIARIES.
At this point, Mr. Afolabi took the microphone to address all the issues facing beneficiaries. He said bulk of those issues were caused by beneficiaries themselves as follows:
UNPAID BENEFICIARIES: Mr. Afolabi didn't mince words by saying the reason 98.9% of beneficiaries who were not paid was caused by them, he said many of the beneficiaries registered for the program in cyber cafes thereby making some of their details public to the cafe computer operators and hackers. He gave the break down of some the figures I.e 8,000+ was verified and 7,000+ was qualified while abt 6,000+ Qualified for payment and 200+ was disqualified due to age and the documents provided for verification do not match with what they inputted on the online form.
He said out of 2540 that had issues of payment, 889 had no record of account with then at all, this means some of them didn't update their account while some used someone else's account to cover up for the program.
He also said some inputted wrong BVN, he said a lot of them form the 11 digit of BVN Hoping they can outsmart the government. He also emphasized on married women that inputted account number which doesn't belong to them.
BENEFICIARIES WITH BLANK SPACE: He vehemently said that they didn't show up for verification, that was why they have blank space. He said majority were trying to play games with the FG claiming not to have been paid or posted. He then concluded that discretionary provisions will be made for re-verification for those who missed the verification an those who has blank verification result issues and will be absorbed alongside with those who will be processed for redeployment during the process of redeployment for those that were deployed outside their residential states or LGS.
Mr. Afolabi also said the unpaid beneficiaries can correct their details in two ways a. Through the two site support@npvn.ng and support@npvn.desk-mail.com or b. Through the focal person manually.
He also addressed the issue of arrangement of names, he said the npvn name must correspond with the BVN name, he however said he gave directives to NIBSS that if two names of the beneficiaries matches, they can go ahead and pay such his/her stipends. So he later ask beneficiaries involved with invalid BVN to go to their bank and make necessary correction and for the married women to get a copy of their change of name as well as their BVN printout and attach it or upload it in the mail where applicable before sending their complaints to the help desk.
BENEFICIARIES WITH AGE AND ADDRESS ISSUES.
He also said most of them caused this problem, he said the age requirement for this program is between 18-35yrs, anything short of that amount to disqualification. He also said if beneficiaries wrongly inputted an address that doesn't correspond with their residential address, such is disqualified.
The meeting came to an end with a closing remark from the Focal Person and Lagos State Npower Leader, Mr. Felix Ayorinde. Autosbay, wasn't anything said about those who were deployed to a far place from their residence? I couldn't attend due to very urgent situation. I was posted to an extremely local govt lcda. Infact, i decided to go there and i ended up spending #700 to-and-fro on that day. I have also spoken to a number of people who have been posted to a far place from their residence here in Ikorodu and we all don't know what to do. I have sent countless mails to support@npvn.desk-mail.com but not reply or feed back from them. Autosbay, please how can we get in touch with the focal person or the person in charge of posting. Or if you can help us convey our grieviances to her. We would really really be grateful. God bless. |

AutosBay: How to effect change of name in your Npower portal One of the reasons why you experience delay in your npower monthly stipend is when the name in your npvn portal doesn’t correspond with the ones you have in your bank.
Married women experience this most. And those whose registration were by proxy (giving your details to cafe guy to register for you, and at the end he misspelt or make huge mistakes in your names )
If you fall in any of the category above, here Is how to handle change of name in your npvn profile with so much ease.
First, go to your bank to be sure your name is correctly spelt. If your case is marital, then go to your bank with an evidence of change of name to effect the change of name in your account details. That shouldn’t take more than a day. Just for your account officer to see the proofs and effect the necessary change.
Second , check and cross check to make sure the exact name in your npvn profile tallies with your bank account details. Third, collect change of name affidavit. This could be the newspaper publication that the change of name is effected.
For married women, Marriage Certificate can be used.
Lastly, scan the evidence of the change of name, type the NOW corrected bank account details, the program you applied for, phone number, email address
Subject of your complaint: CHANGE OF NAME
Send to support@npvn.desk-mail.com
Though you’re meant to send to selection@npower.gov.ng is however filled up, it couldn’t take new messages as at the last check.
So send to the first one above Autosbay, please i was posted to an extremely far place to my house. My address is Igbo-Agbowa in Ibese, Ikorodu but i was posted to a place near Agbowa which is extremely far. Possibly they thought Igo-Agbowa and Agbowa is the same. Please what can I do? |
