Ekitis fought for capital of old Ondo State to be in Akure rather than Ondo town. Maybe you should listen to Akure and other Ekiti traditional music and see if there is any difference.

reminds me of a funny story. In the early eighties when my dad just got to the north, Kaduna to be precise, he started greeting the Igala people he came across in Yoruba language but they would not respond. It was a colleague, an Idoma man who told him he should stop greeting them in Yoruba as they are not Yorubas. According yo my old man, what he found funny was their similar tribal marks and their pronunciation which is also similar to the Yorubas.

I served in Kogi state and was able to traverse the state, and I can tell you that Igala people have nothing in common with yorubas. If you had said okun of Kogi west, I will agree with you to an extent, but Igala? Even merely looking at an average Igala man, you won't observe any similarity whatsoever with yoruba.

Hypocrites, this same person claiming that another ethnicity with nothing in common with them are part of yoruba race will be swearing and pouring spittle that Igbo tribes that speak same language, have same culture and traditions, look alike and share virtually everything in common are not Igbos simply because someone said they are South South.
