“It may lead to retirement of all officers that are senior to the present Chiefs. “Then, especially in tactical and operational areas, a new bloc is going to be engendered, because by the time you retire all these people, you create a vacuum. “Some of these young officers, who have been trained in one tactical area or the other, they want to show what they are; that look, if we are given the opportunity, we are going to do our best.” If this intentions are pure and true. It's a welcome development |

Quality20: I really wonder o. During Buhari's first term when he appointed the recently relieved service chief, he sidetracked the hausas and the whole of Northwest with 7 states and the largest population, yet we the Northwesterners were all quiet, no body as much as said pim. But igbo ppl with a tiny land mass and few population woudnt let the world be. In fact do u know that Oyo state alone is far bigger and more populous than those five enclaves called states in d east? I really wonder why these tiny minority of a ppl cant maintain sanity. South is south, be it south east or south west. We in d north see north west and north east as the same and even north central. POC We have North and South. We further have North, East, West, South Then North West , North East, South West, South East |

Forumobserver12: You have a valid point on this, though I think both of you are saying the same thing. I don't like how some SE behave. Just because his surname doesn't have meaning in Igbo means he's not igbo. Many of us non Igbo can't differentiate you guys. Why you guys are rejecting each other is what I don't know |

gidgiddy: There is no tribe in Nigeria known as Anioma, Anioma is simply an area and it has an Igbo majority and an Edo minority. General Leo Irabor is from the Edo minority of Anioma area, he not Igbo. You're not serious even as a non Igbo. I know Anioma, ikeweerr are sub of Igbos just like Owerri man, ngwa man, nsukka man. Are you telling me ogwashi uku isn't an Igbo town? What you guys don't know is, an average Fulani or Yoruba Man can't differentiate between An anioma from an owerri man or ikwerre from Ngwa. The only difference is dialect but they all understand THE CENTRAL IGBO Igbo nzugbe. Likewise you guys can't differentiate between an Ondo man like myself from an Okun man (yoruba) in Kogi state Or an ondo man like myself from someone from offa/Ilorin While i can differentiate us you can't. But we all understand the central Yoruba. You guys are saying what is the meaning of Irabor in Igbo. Okay a Yoruba man like myself don't know the meaning of Dino melaye,, yet He is Yoruba. |

My ancestors are from Labiran, Ibadan.. the Clan and Family has Farm Lands in Oke Omi, Jagun Village Old Ife road, Alakia, Olorunda, and so on.. the Mogaji the family head is the custodian and Olubadan and Oyo State Government gazetted it..
Now what Falana and Ruga Fulani Land grabbers are saying is that they can wake up one day and occupy my land with their cows and I have no legal right to issue them quit notice

[s] SilverNorGold: My brother, we are talking about illegality. If every tribe behaves like Sunday, there'll be chaos.. If you want your own country, go through the right channel... I supported Akeredolu but condemned Sunday Igboho, shouldn't that tell you I am a person that's always on the path of legality? You see, I am never against any notice. Just make it legal so we don't disrupt whatever peace we are managing. That's my point.
God bless Nigeria. [/s] Answer this and I will keep shut. Ever since this herdsmen have been killing people and gazing on their farms since 2015. Mention ONE measure the government have taken. |

The fact that the government is doing nothing about these incessant attacks on people who are doing their legitimate businesses is far from normal.
Before you can fault people like Sunday Igboho you have to make sure that simple activities like farming does not put your life in danger from criminals. Self preservation is the first law of nature. Slivernorgold should come and learn. Kudos to you, brother. |

[s] SilverNorGold: Finally, someone has UNDERSCORED my exact point! God bless you, Falana.. No wonder you made my list of CREDIBLE Nigerians we should EMULATE...
When I condemned Sunday Igboho's unlawful action, some unpatriotic Yorubas attacked me. To them, my condemning his action was synonymous with supporting the killer herdsmen's heinous crimes... To them, it's a war between the Yorubas and the Fulanis... Neglecting the fact that I was among the people that supported Governor Akeredolu..
But it's well.. At least, I now know the true color of those unpatriotic, tribalistic and opportunistic chameleons parading themselves as patriots... Thank God for REVEALING their true colors through this incident... Nigeria must better whether you bastards like it or not!

Falana the old fool...always on the side of wrong people on claiming stupid laws
Why can't Falana offer his ancestorial land inherited from his father at Ekiti or his Abuja and Lagos lands and property former EFCC boss Magu gave to Fulani Herdsmen
If freedom of movement is sarcrosant and all citizens can live anywhere they like, then let's abolish Land Use Act and Laws on Trespass
Since Fulani can live anywhere, let me also move to an empty land in Asokoro Abuja and build a house next to Aso Rock since it's an empty land or Eko Atlantic and Banana island
. Falana should quote the section of the constitution that empowers any tribe to be causing problems in their host towns. |

Kindly check the elections of 1960 1965 1979 1983 1993 Maybe you'll edit your comment and substitute Yorubas for igbos. By the way, the only election Yorubas align with Fulanis is 2015. Guess who were those aligning with them since 1959. Your guess is as good as mine. |

While maintaining that popular Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Igboho, had no right to issue a vacation notice to herders in the Ibarapa Local Government Area of Oyo State, Falana explained that it is within the right of everyone in the country, including the herders to live legally in any parts of the country. Mr. Falana should also quote the section that allows Herdsmen to destroy farms. |

mrfreestuff: I think people forget that the CDS is a very high ranking member of the armed forces and the position is even fought for among those 3 armed forces so they can have the upper hand.
We are not in military government so hyping COAS above CNS or CAS is academic. I will rather be a CDS, it is the dream of even the COAS who desires to truly get to the pinnacle of his or her career.
The most powerful of all service chiefs is still the IG of Police. He has no superior uniformed officer to report to unlike the COAS. Exactly. |

When they talk of defense headquarters DHQ It simply consist of CDS, Minister of Defense and Minister of State
In hierarchy President C I C Minster of Defense, CDS, Minister of state COAS, CON, COA
Have you all forgotten nah CDS dey give allocations to the COAS, CON, COA. If he wishes he can give lesser allocations to any of them.
I will rather be the CDS |

[s] AdekunleScience: Sir, I know my comment might sound radical to you and other people nonetheless I'll go ahead. The rancor between Fayose and Makinde is about the the control of Yoruba destiny in the PDP. As you might already know, Makinde is a half-Yoruba while Fayoose is a pure breed Yoruba. Half-breed people naturally have divided loyalty to their composite ethnicities. Look around all the regions of Nigeria, pure breeds control the political destiny of the people. Yorubaland should not be an exception. Fayose is fighting a just fight and I'm sure that many pure breed Yorubas in opposition parties are in support of him, at least those who understand the need for self-preservation. [/s] Well brother, its actually a piece of trash to me. You know why? 1. First thing I did was to check his background and I saw that he is a full blooded Yoruba man. 2. Yoruba destiny isn't in any control of anyone talk less of a party 3. Fayose also enjoy the sane privilege as the leader of South west PDP when he was the only PDP governor in SW

Iamgrey5: I have been seeing the mischivious pictures since yesterday around the social media.
First of all, the picture was taken in Dugbe ibadan not the entire ibadan. Ibadan is a very big and development has continued to take place in other parts of ibadan
Second of all, most of those buildings belong to Odua investment group not Owo state or federal government.
Thirdly, the quality of camera used for the 2020 is deliberately duller than the one used in 1978.
How on earth do people live with themselves like this.
Below is the same picture of that place taken in 2017 The 2nd pics is the true state of it |
