The whole episode from slapping and 'bragging' is very disturbing and comical to say the list. 'By their fruit you shall know them' or was it by their fruit you shall talk about them? Either ways, talking about it is not bad in itself but how we do the talking is what matters the most. God help us Church. |
@ sammy79 [i]i appreciate your view and i sense a tone of maturity and direction in your post. i want you to know that there are levels in spiritual maturity. errors cannot be totally overuled but please note that at the level of the MOG which is definitely not a junior level, errors are strictly dealt with and quickly too by God Himself. take the case of Moses and the rock, it was an instant judgement cos at the level Moses operated, some mistakes are not condoned at all. my point is this: if the MOG made a mistake, God who called him will deal appropriately and decisively with him. no man has been appointed to correct the MOG. i feel very sorry for many people that have run terrible comments about the MOG, well i think they are ignorant of what God did to those guys that rose up against Moses in the wilderness. but God is very merciful sha. and do not rule out the fact that even the MOG mistakes can be turned into , (i do not think many can handle some truths so they do not misquote me). do not try interpreting or mind reading the girl. do you know what witchcraft really means? its not about the blood and flying, its about manipulations of the devil, holding you captive against Gods plan for you, making and manipulating your mind to do things against Gods will. many things to be said but i must go to bed now. gud 9t.[/sub][/sup] Omopastor, hope you had a well rested night. I just have in mind to point out some issues from your reply. In the end you are rightfully entitled to your views anyways. 1. God's love surpasses what we think- He weights the heart and then proceeds to our attitude/character before He judges. Moses' actions (as you mentioned), Aaron and Miriams were issues of the heart and character and God judged accordingly. I agree with you that the deeper you go in God, the greater the expectation He places in us but note that Miriam and Aaron, in this case, were punished not solely because they grumbled but because their heart was not with compassion and love for Moses. The issue is always with our heart. Jethro, on the other hand, demonstrated a heart of concern and understanding for Moses and 'corrected' Moses on how to run administration of the people of God. Moses heed Jethro's advice and he was the better for it. May be if Jethro had come with pompous attitude God could have smite him, we don't know but there is much to suggest this could have been the case. 2. 'No man has been appointed to correct the MOG'- in addition to my example of Jethro to Moses, who are off course men and not God, we have various examples in the Bible where men corrected men of God/ servants of God. See Paul to Peter that I have talked about. What about Samuel to the anointed Saul? Think about Nathan to David when David committed adultery and murdered Urriah. All of these were MEN regardless of whether they were servants of God. In a bit more detail, it is one thing to be in the capacity to correct i.e go the Bishop and say to him that what he did was wrong and it is another thing to discern in your heart that the act was wrong but not in the capacity to meet the Bishop to correct him. One place I see clearly where the Bible say an elder should not rebuked (an elder because of age and not office as used in this context) is in 1 Ti 5:11 YET it says 'INTREAT/ENTREAT him' meaning to exhort him (in love and patience). So If am older than the Bishop it qualifies me to go and meet him face to face and correct him as I deem fit. The point here is that men have been appointed to correct one another BUT in love! Should we now talk about it if we are not 'qualified' to correct the Bishop? Yes, but in the right attitude of love and not hate. This is what makes the difference in the sight of God. AGAIN, it is our heart/attitude that God weights. If I talk about this act of the Bishop in a profane and blasphemous manner, God knows and if I do out of the fear of God, God knows but We are at liberty as Christians to discuss issues happening in Christendom and as it regards servants of God. They are for our example, just as the Bible also recorded. God bless |
Hi All, I just wish to announce to you the debut book titled Knowledge of the Secrets of the Kingdom of God: A Blueprint for a Passionate Pursuit of God You can copy and paste the title into Google to see online stores where you read an excerpt of the book. You can find it on Amazon, Barnes & Nobles etc. Heaven is real and Hell is real but I have shared a revelation of Heaven in this book as I felt led. The Bible said Jesus thought His disciples about the Kingdom of God (after He resurrected in Acts 2) for 40 days. Have you ever wondered what He taught them on this singular subject for 40 days? Also being the time of His departure to heaven, it simply meant it was a very important 'last' message He was giving to them. Like the words of a departing Master or a dieing man, the last words must be taken seriously. All of these are dealt with in this book. I encourage you to lay hands on it if you can. God bless |
This is for Omopastor and those reflecting her views, Having read through your posts on this topic, I feel I can understand your point to some extent: you have a personal respect for the Bishop and that is okay. Some people still do and others don't. No problems with that. He is probably a model for you and many others out there but do not forget that he is a man like any other and only our Lord Jesus Christ has got the fullness of the Spirit. In my opinion, the Bishop over-reacted and it is a mistake, although a costly one for a MOG in public eye. I hope he realises it. If you are in his shoes what would you have done and what would Jesus have done? This is not what it means to judge him. It is our responsibility as Christians to grow in spiritual discernment, knowing what is right and wrong character-wise and in this case, the act was wrong. Also, remember when Paul rebuked Peter about his act of hypocrisy( double-dealing with the circumcised Jews). Paul was not judging him but condemning his actions in love. We must correct anomalies in body of Christ in this manner without fear or favour. Smith Wigglesworth, as someone mentioned, operated with an aggressive faith but he was as well evidently filled with compassion and positive result in his deliverance sessions. This is not to be compared. Also Jesus never needed to assault individuals personally by chasing them out the temple. In this case, His act required human intervention and it yielded the expected result- the temple was evacuated by sellers and buyers. But the act of slapping does not cast out demonic spirits as we all know that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood. Witch for Jesus, Winch for Jesus etc could mean anything the girl is trying to say. Regardless of whether she is possessed of not. If I say, like Apostle Paul, that I am a' fool' for Christ does that make someone say 'Christ does not have fools'? Totally out of context! Like I said in my previous response, the girl probably need some form of help which could be administered to her in private medical, spiritual and counseling session and not through public display. I was personally disappointed to see church deliverance conducted in this manner. I expected it to be private and properly organised and not a public display unless may be in an open-air crusade style meeting. Even in this case, it can be properly managed. I will only subscribe to this style administering deliverance if the girl was just met in the streets which will then be similar to Jesus' style of public ministry! |
dare2think- I completely agree with your view. This is clear case of abuse. Should we abuse the 'flesh' (humans) in the name of God or in God's defense instead of dealing with the evil in them? We do not wrestle with flesh and blood. Where is wisdom? Jesus didn't beat Mary up before she was delivered from her demonic possession? Even when Ananias and Sapphira lied to Peter, they were not bitten up but Peter just spoke the word of God (not in judgement) but instead, what God had determined against them. God directly executed the judgement in this case. Physical abuse, especially without any positive outcome, has no biblical basis. In my opinion, the girl surely need some form of help but completely naive and ignorant. This is reflected in her words. I would recommend taking her aside for further examination (private medical/spiritual counseling and deliverance session) instead of slapping her publicly and telling her to go to hell because she is not ready for deliverance. I think a little show of compassion could have made all the difference and not a public show! I don't agree with this act in any way and those who feel that the the girl had the effrontery to confront the MOG of such 'caliber' should not forget that we all are humans but operating with grace under God.It is not to dispute whether the call of God on the life of the Bishop is genuine or not. We all should be able to discern the truth and operation of the spirit of God. God help us Church. |

@toppcateg Nakedwire i wil b glad if u can give me d contact of d immigration dat help u out in Alagbon,i want to get another e pasport because my former epasport as been damage by stamp.Pls i nid your urgent reply. If your case is genuine, you do not need to fear or panick although it may cause you sometime and money going to and fro immigrations both in Lagos and Abuja. All you need to do is to take a photocopy of the passport to the Alagbon immigration post and request to see whoever is in charge. They will give you further instruction i.e let you know if the passport is still with them or sent to Abuja (Department of Fraud Unit-DFU) from where it is sent to Comptroller General's office. All tampered passports are sent to the DFU. Once it gets to Comptroller's office, the passport is as good as gone. And you will definitely have problems travelling out of the country/ enough trouble with Embassies because of this. You will be DIGGING your grave if you follow the advise of declaring your passport missing! It simply meant that your case is fraud if you do this and it will definetely backfire .BUT the onus is now on you to prove that the agent put the fake stamp on your passport (this can be very diifcult). So where do you want to start? Start from where it was impounded and walk your way up. Remember! God will be on your side if your case is genuine. PLEASE know that being a genuine case does not automatically solve the problem rather the immigration will simply advise you apply and pay for another passport. If you think it is not genuine case, don't waste your time and resources, but wait for the tampered passport to expire after which you will apply for a new one. |
Gbyte: Why would I pay that much when I would get a brand new 64GB Ipad for 80k.You better continue using your IPAD till you are tired of using it, then give it out. My friend would even sell his for 45k used for less than 2months no fault and it as clean as new. If packed you wouldn't argue, i still turned him down . Refering to your post above, Gbyte, I think it will be most polite to pass the thread if you are not interested rather than deliberately insunuate against whoever may be interested. The worst you could do is to negotiate the price if you are interested but you are not. I know how much I bought the device and believe I have the liberty to fix my price and buyers have the liberty to either buy or walk away. We don't go about bad-mouthing sellers on Amazon/ Ebay all because you have access to a cheaper bargain from somewhere else. I took this very personal and would hope that we show some sense of maturity in placing posts like this on forum. Thanks |

Barrenness/ infertility, simply put , is like taking an examination every month and failing ( for the woman most especially). However, it is getting on record that most Nigerian men and women lack knowledge and increasing in knowledge COULD to a large extent avert the frustration caused by infertility. For example, some may not know that the use of some particular lubricating gels are actually spermicides!, they wonder why conception is not happening! Investing a token in the link below to educate yourself (or forward link to whoever you know may in need) may be more than helpful. The point here is that God is the ultimate miracle worker but we need to do what He has given us power to do, whilst putting our trust in Him. help yourself today, help someday with beneficial information. As they say, when two elephants (regulators and investors/banks) fight, the ground (poor masses) suffers. Whilst I applaud the need for the banking sector reform, I fault the process taken though some may say it was in response to the needed urgent intervention. Also, the CBN could have invested more in public awareness, and make its policy more transparent in terms of communicating its agenda and making public its critical findings that may gain the public sympathy for fight against the coirporate greed and absurd governance in the banking system.Unfortunately our country seem to have 'too' much slef-serving leaders who are bent on ensuring that their private pockets are preserved against at the detriment of of the poor masses. Before we go ahead, please read the excerpts of the the CBN governor's recent presentation ( I wondered why he chose to reveal so much at this forum instead of a more conventional press release, or platform more open to the average Nigerian/depositor). On a more critical note, ht ebanking sector 'prosperity' has been hinged on insider trading, round-tripping and little lending to the real sector except for a few investors with substantial leverage, but most probably friends to the bank MDs! , 'We have already published details of the extent of insider abuse in several of the banks. CEOs set up Special Purpose Vehicles to lend money to themselves for stock price manipulation or the purchase of estates all over the world. One bank borrowed money and purchased private jets which we later discovered were registered in the name of the CEO’s son. In another bank the management set up 100 fake companies for the purpose of perpetrating fraud. A lot of the capital supposedly raised by these so called “mega banks” was fake capital financed from depositors’ funds. 30% of the share capital of Intercontinental bank was purchased with customer deposits. Afribank used depositors’ funds to purchase 80% of its IPO. It paid N25 per share when the shares were trading at N11 on the NSE and these shares later collapsed to under N3. The CEO of Oceanic bank controlled over 35% of the bank through SPVs borrowing customer deposits. The collapse of the capital market wiped out these customer deposits amounting to hundreds of billions of naira. The Central Bank had a process of capital verification at the beginning of consolidation to avoid bubble capital. For some unexplained reason, this process was stopped. As a result, we have now discovered that in many, ' Source: http://www.cenbank.org/OUT/SPEECHES/2010/THE%20NIGERIAN%20BANKING%20INDUSTRY%20WHAT%20WENT%20WRONG%20AND%20THE%20WAY%20FORWARD_FINAL_260210.PDF , page 7 |
Also, seminar is completely FREE |
, one last I left out, the team of people you will be working with upon engaging this business is called the Customers Club |
The idea for this seminar was borne out of the compassionate concerns of a few successful business men who have made their millions and have decided to share their secrets of success through wealth creation and empowerment of the less privileged. This is most important if you are seeking to be an entrepreneur, just lost your job in the recent banking industry distress or just seeking to get out of the 8am-5pm rat race. If you are not interested in attending this seminar, please could you do someone a favour by telling them? You may be bringing someone out of poverty for the rest of their lives. You can never tell! Eligibility requirements 1. A minimum capital outlay of N70, 000.00. The decision to commence this business is entirely yours after attending the seminar. You are not therefore required to part with ANY money unless you have evaluated the potentials in the business and willing to proceed. 2. Integrity and hard-work is key. 3. You expected to determine your own rate and speed of success. The seminar is to empower you with the ideas and show you how to ‘catch the fish’ yourself! 4. If you have a flare for marketing, your chances of success are obviously high but not having it should not deter you. Remember you will be working for yourself. 5. DeteDetermination resolution to succeed. 6. Upon succeeding, posterity will require that you give back to the society and the less privileged. Advantages 1. Your success is determined solely by you and your level of hard work and not by anybody else ( save for God off course!, and God rewards hard work.) 2. Get out of the 8am-5pm rat race. 3. You will be having enough time in your hands to pursue your life dreams and do what you want for your life…being the manager of your own time and work life. 4. The minimum capital investment is the cheapest you could ever find for the kind of returns this business offer. Disadvantages 1. Compromise on integrity and honesty will not be given a second a chance. (‘Disadvantage’? Please take this seriously, no second chance.) 2. If you fail to work hard and loose the opportunity upon attending the seminar, it is most definite that you may regret for a long time. Please send an email to: bodeyinde@hotmail.com ONLY IF YOU ARE READY TO SIGN UP TO ATTEND THIS SEMINAR. SPONSORS HAVE LITTLE TIME ON THEIR HANDS TO WASTE. |
@Londoncool, A pyschoanalysis of how the "white" people work shows that they don't like being told how to do their job or being asked to speed up a process where they have the absolute responsibility. Hence, there is nothing more you can do to prompt the BHC to issue your Entry Clearance than to wait patiently. You have already overcome the hard part, so just wait. You remember the proverb of the Tortoise who spent 2 weeks at the bottom of a pit laterine? When someone came to tell him that help was on the way after spending 2 weeks in the pit he said "Please come and take me out of here quickly, I can not stand the smell here any longer". Thank's for the reply above. I am still quite worried that since the last advice from the forum ( over 1 month ago), I haven't been called upon by the BDHC, the appeal promulgation July 4th, 2008 and they confirmed to have recieved the determination in a reply email to me on the 19th August,2008. Please any further advice will be appreciated. Thanks |
Hi All, Please I need a recommendation on a reputable international Professional Leadership orgainisation / intensive training courses in any African country or other countries abroad, and if any one knows the one that relates to Strategic Planning/ Management. Londoncool; Thanks so much for your welcome advise, I've got to wait then! God Bless |
I will be grateful to have anybody's advice as well, to my post above, thanks |
Hi Londoncool, I will like to use this opportunity to appreciate your valued contribution on this forum. I've been a member for some time now Please can you advise on what I need to do to get the BDHC speed up my application?. I appealed and the appeal was allowed since the 4th, July. I've pasted below the latest correspondence i recieved from them two weeks ago. I will apreciate your sugestions. Thanks 19 August 2008 LAG/XXXXXX Dear Sir RE: Status of appeal Thank you for notifying to us the outcome of your appeal. We have also received the determination from the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal. The determination will be passed to an Entry Clearance Manager and you will be contacted shortly.
