An interesting video has emerged online showing the moment a group of ladies struggled tirelessly for the sweaty towel of globally-famous Nigerian singer, Wizkid.

In the video, Wizkid who could be seen thrilling his fans at a concert with an exceptional performance threw his towel into the crowd and some ladies began to struggle to get hold of it.

This is not the first time such a thing is happening during Wizkid’s concert. Some time ago, some ladies decided to use a lighter to divide the crooner’s towel into shreds so that everyone could have a fair share.

Eric Cantona, a French actor, director, producer, and former professional footballer, has declared himself manager of Manchester United.

He made his announcement on Instagram.

United are on the hunt for a new manager since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked, with Michael Carrick currently in charge of the first team.

The Red Devils have been linked with a host of experienced and world-class managers such as Zinedine Zidane, Ernesto Valverde, and Mauricio Pochettino.

But eccentric former striker Cantona posted a video on Instagram on Thursday with an "exclusive announcement", joking - perhaps - that he is the club's new manager.

He said: "Hello my friends, I would like to tell you in exclusivity that I am the new manager of Manchester United."

This is the video that has emerged online purportedly capturing the incident leading to the collapse of a female clubber at Abuja Club, Hustle & Bustle.

The incident, which led to the death of the lady, has been generating controversy.

Recall that following the incident, the club shut down its operation in order to join the family to mourn the deceased.

It had initially been circulated in the media that the lady was electrocuted.

But a trending video has now revealed what happened to the clubber on the said day.

The statement from the club reads:

Dear All,

We wish to thank our esteemed patrons and customers for their love and support these last couple of days. Indeed, the loss of a customer is a blow that hit us harder than we could have imagined, particularly because of the unexpected nature of her demise.

We want to extend our heartfelt sympathy once more to the family of the deceased; we pray that the almighty God will continue to grant them the fortitude to bear this painful loss.

Despite the myriad of question and assumptions out in the public, we had earnestly refrained from making any statement until this moment for two reasons; mainly because we had to join the family and friends to mourn a beautiful life that was taken too soon, and to enable the police to extensively conduct and carry out their investigations.

It therefore behooves on us at this moment to inform the generally public of these series of facts;

1. On the 14th of November 2021, a dear customer whilst leaving our premises, tripped and fell and this led to her painful and untimely death.

2. Owing to this tragedy, our management reached a decision to shut down our business so as to adequately mourn the deceased, and also allow the police unfettered access to conduct their investigations.

3. On that fateful morning, the deceased after leaving the club, was happily playing around with her friends, when she made a slight run, tripped and fell down a few meters to the car park and became unconscious. Sadly, she passed on, on their way to the hospital.

4. The Nigerian Police Force have extensively carried out their investigations and thoroughly reviewed our wide and lengthy CCTV footages and we await the report of this investigation.

We assure the public that we have employed several health and safety standards and we will continue to place safety over profit. We have also used this bitter lesson to upgrade our already decent safety procedures and we would do our utmost best to continue to serve as a leader in this sector.

May God bless the soul of the departed.

Baba Fryo, a veteran Nigerian singer, has lamented that he is disappointed that pop star, Davido neglected him, ‘a known face’, in his trying times, only to gift unknown orphans N250m.

In a speech via his Instagram account, the ‘Dem Go Dey Pose’ singer said, “There is something that I have been seeing on social media that someone gifted orphanages N250m. To me, the thing is funny. I remember when I was depressed, they tagged many of my colleagues; they tagged Davido, Tuface, and others but none of them responded. It was people that have never seen me in this life, people that do not know me that responded.

“This N200m that I am hearing about and seeing on social media is surprising to me. If someone like me who is popular and well known was not helped, it is people and orphanages that no one knows that is being helped; they are been given N250m, it is so funny. I will advise Nigerians and Black people to be wise and stop all these things.

“White people do not do all these things. All what we are doing will look so funny to them. I am not saying that giving money to orphanages is a bad thing because I am an ambassador to an NGO that I do not collect a dime from. But funny enough, when I was depressed and had problems, the NGO did not respond. You see how we are. Now I am seeing N200m and they are posting it everywhere; Davido gives money to orphanages and inaugurates a five-man committee to distribute that money. Everything sounds funny to me.

“If I see someone doing good, I appreciate them; I am not saying it is a bad thing. I just want to ask people why someone like me that people know, who cried out; why did they not help the person that they know? It is the people that they do not know or can see their faces that they are helping out with N250m. Let’s all think; will we call that wickedness or ignorance?

A really heartwarming video has emerged online showing how a young man surprised his mother on her birthday.

The video showed the Nigerian man going into a Lagos market to celebrate his mum on her birthday and it has gone viral.

David Adeleke, the award-winning singer, who is popularly known as Davido on Saturday announced his donation of N251m to orphanages across Nigeria.

According to the singer, the money came from his N100m challenge which raked in N201m in three days.

Making the announcement via his Instagram page, Davido stated that he has decided to add N50m to the donation from fans and colleagues.

In total, Davido is set to support orphanages across Nigeria with a sum of N251m.
