Port harcourt isn't as beautiful as it should be, to me it isn't even fit to be classified as a city,only a few parts are beautiful, but the rest areas are just too basic maybe because the city has no actual plan, driving around lagos bus stop just after the government house you'll be more disappointed(the roads there are good but the place isn't looking nice at all).
It'll be great if the government invests in the water fronts around borikiri, ndoki and clean up the slums there.

If we had an online data base of criminals we would've been able to know exactly who and who escaped, you'll now hear fire burnt all the prison records.
The Nigerian police force is just pathetic, you mean no 24hours guards on standby or spot lights for such a huge prison?

Prices of things are actually normal in my neighbourhood despite the presence of a lot of yahoo boys, there are clothe shops that sell a pair of jeans for as low as #3k while some sell at #8k-12k it just depends on what you can afford and the quality (you don't expect to buy original designers for 3k na) you can even buy okrika for 1k if e choke.

Price inflation here is mostly due to the weak naira, an original nike goes for about a $100 or more which is like 41k due to the exchange rate, i remember getting a pair of nike airforce at a nike store in early 2019 for 27k but going back to the store the prices have gone up, making it affordable to mostly the rich and fraudsters.

There are 3-5star restaurants and also regular restaurants like chicken republic.

The rent of houses depends on the location you want to live in,you can't get a house in an high-brow area and be expecting cheap rent.

You just go for what you can afford sha, It's that simple.

They all keep saying the same thing "unemployment reason for insecurity" like we are not aware of our problems already... we don't need to keep hovering around our problems, we need solutions, our leaders should stop playing politics with the future of our nation and youths...


There's a syringe factory idle here in port harcourt that can provide jobs for a lot of rivers people (in this covid era it'll be a huge source of revenue) but the governor doesn't want it functioning based on political bias and that is just one of the several idle factories in the state.

Honestly Bayelsa is nothing to write home about, no light, apart from Yen Town other places are underdeveloped, I don't even want to talk about the flooding issues and insecurity , the state has only one flyover, so many abandoned buildings.
