zinaunreal: I said I smoke weed but in reality I really don't smoke. I am from abia state, thesame state of the COAS. The medical screening was obviously compromised and it took about 5 days for result to surface.

People always looked at our state with much envy and even some officers did not hide their distaste for us. If you must know, the army is currently investigating our medical disqualification because an officer I would not mention his name and rank ,also threatened us before he screened us for physical test.

The officer didn't even need to check u. If he did not like your face, you automatically have an ailment and I was a victim. There is serious crisis in the army. Only those who were part of dssc 21 can attest to what I have just written.

My brother, i still stand on my word that u smoking is not d reason for ur disqualification. My friend has been smoking since secondary school day and he still pass d medical and dt had proved to me dt all ds medical tests by NA is nothing but trash. I was thinking he could not go beyond medical dt is why i call him everyday to confirm if he‘s still in d camp. Therefore, If my friend can pass their so call medical test, it simplt means they are not screening for smoking.

ladepete: That u are a serving personnel is not their business. If they assume serving personnels are fit, they will exempt them from medical screening. Asides that, it is wrong to think that way, cos one might have developped some illnesss, or contacted one disease of the other along the line. Remember they are looking for every excuse to screen u out be u a serving personnel or not. As for me I don't have hiv,hbv or bp issues, the reason is best knwn to them. Don't be surprised that one who failed medicals in army, will pass in airforce.

I said this thing b4, cos u made it to the list, does not mean u should mock anyone that didn't make it weather u have had a brawl with him or her on this thread thread b4 as it does not guarantee your name on the final list. Some of you guys that have carelessly talked here, still came here and put ur details for every1 to see cos u were shortlisted.exposing urself to the whole world,when u never can tell who have been watching. From my experience in the military, if they declare u medically unfit, the chances of u still pushing ur luck further is too slim. That is one thing they hardly compromise in the military. I was also declared unfit, reasons best knwn to them. The bitter truth is that,those not shortlisted didn't spend a dyme, didn't risk their lifes on travelling yet we are now in the same position again. That is life. Well I'm porting to NAF, I was able to play my cards somehow about the screening and exam thing so I'm still hoping there too. Make una nor ask me ?s about that o.cos I nor get ans.
For now, I dey go bk my base.

As i posted ealier, most of those who made d list are directly or indirectly related to top army officers. Even if u smoke it doesn‘t mean anything provided ur oga @ d top follow up ur case. I just called my friend who told me he passed medical despite d fact dat he‘s been smoking since his secondary school till now. Even if u r screened out, just quickly make some calls tru ur oga @ d top and if he is highly respected, you can still make d final list.

It will be good if d money can be refund. Believe me or not, pay or no-pay what will be will be. Why must we (unemployed graduates) after spent soo much money and time in school still pay for govt job. Government job for that mater and with all indication there is no sincererity about the whole process of recruitment. A nation where a fresh gradute got employed into level 12 of aviation ministry all in d name of replacement and those qualified for d position never know there‘s any recruitment/replacement going on. Pls, they should refund our hard-earned money. God, let ur kingdom come ASAP.

If somebody‘s name can come out of both dssc & ssc at d same time, it means they didnt check anything. All they do is to list d names of there candidates & some other luck candidates. Some of d shortlisted candidates i know are directly or indirectly related to millitary officers. For us that didnt make d list, dont think that GOD failed u. Just that he has another plan for ur life. You will be amazed when he unfold his plan for you. Once again, congrats to those who made d list & i wish all of you best of luck.
