CheerfulGiver: As a newbie, I had no serious challenges except friends. Friends distracted me. Had to cut them off. Then I had to find a way to stop being so sleepy by 10pm, till I realized eating dinner late caused that for me. Dashboard isn't deceptive because it's my dashboard and what's there is my truth. I can't twist my truth to suit what you think the truth should be or twist my truth to make you feel better. It is what it is. I guess I was created special. Divine intelligence.
everything I know I've passed down to the 21 guys in my telegram group. They were the ones that responded when I asked people struggling to mail me. So you can't say I haven't played a part. These guys beat my daily records many times. Some. Not all. None makes below 100k a week now.
Driving is easy for me, uber driving is easier. You don't have to believe me but driving is a hobby and a passion. Been driving since I was 14 in SS1. Over ** years now. No one thought me how to drive. Things I do now are second nature to me.
These are my truths. You don't have to believe them, you can't change them. It's me and I'm it. I really don't have to explain myself to anyone. What I post is for motivational purposes only. People who counter me do so only with mouth. Nothing to show for it. They criticize my methods, but present no better alternatives, neither can they argue logically and with facts, so they resort to being negative to themselves hoping that their negativity will overshadow my positivity. Hasn't worked out for them either
The one that thought fraud was the way, advising how to cancel trips inside surge, how market? Now that surge is gone, Guy is confused as fuck_ His fraud strategy is dead in the water.
My car hmm. It amazes you how it doesn't break down, and how it's on the road daily? Simple. I do preventive maintenance. A stitch in time prevents downtime. I hate downtime. I once took a defensive driving course online. It helps me not scratch my car either from a fault of mine, or the next driver. I anticipate what the drivers around me are about to do and I protect my car accordingly.
With the body covered, now the mechanical part. A new car makes no sound, so whatever sounds I hear from my own car is foreign and I tend to it as soon as possible. I know every part of a car and I know whatever part that is wrong with my car so I call my mechanic in advance to buy it and anticipate my arrival. On days I visit the mechanic, I start working before 5. By 11 am I'm at his place and I've made half or almost half of my daily target. I leave there after 7 hours with a fixed up car and I have 6 hrs to complete my daily target. I take naps while there so I'm never really tired.
My diet consists of more protein than less. Then water. Plenty water. It lubricates the eyes. My eyes. Sugary drinks makes me tired, so I try to avoid. Water is better. I always try to combine 2 activities together. Eating + car is being washed, napping while car is being washed, napping while car is being fixed, napping while waiting for destination trips, etc. I'm always a happy fellow and I follow the golden rule.
These are some of my truths. It's not conventional but it works for me. Uber is easy for me, and will always be easy. Nothing will change that truth for me... Nothing. This is what I think this thread was created for and it will do us and those Intending driver partners well if we are doing it. Thanks for sharing part of your secrets here without prerequisites We are all doing well. But bro, why do you think we won't believe you? Some of us will grab and some will trash so you don't need to boarder yourself. Mind you, you can't win it all at all times |

kanuisagoat: Heard something strange today from someone I carried. Maybe some of us here would have heard about it.
So the rider told me he booked a ride from the airport to his hotel. On arrival, he was informed that the hotel was fully booked so he quickly brought out his phone to call the bolt driver that brought him to take him to another hotel. The hotel receptionists told him that may not be necessary because they have cab guys who hang around the hotel.
They called one for him who uses a Sienna and the guy took him to another hotel.
On arrival, he paid him and went inside the hotel. While he was processing his booking, they heard a loud scream and by the time they rushed out, they found the guy infront of his vehicle pushed against the wall by his vehicle. He died instantly
It appears the guy wanted to open the bonnet to check something and for some strange reasons, the vehicle moved at a speed high enough to kill him.
Now to the strange part. When they opened the vehicle, the gear was on park though the engine was running.
How the vehicle managed to move with so much power as to kill him while the gear was in P remains a mystery. Hmmmmmmm nkan ń bẹ |

FuckEveryday: That's the issue boss...I can net that 200k in a month without doing basically anything. The Uber stuff is profitable, lets not deceive ourselves with plenty long talks.
I wanted to do a feasibility study for one week..which is more profitable btw Uber n my usual hustle. But for the stress Uber is offering to my car and myself while offering the same net figure I usually get on a not so bad month, I would rather stick to my hustle which takes nothing but little effort, right connect, and God's grace but keeps my car n human body in good shape.
I resign again on Sunday 11pm, To work only Friday Night, Saturday & Sunday from Next month - December. This is another post the Intending uberbolt driver should consider. Oya swear say u never see drivers that have lost their lives or couldn't continue on health ground? Haba, u can do better. A friend of mine told me he almost fall down when he got out of his car one day that he just gently rest on the burnet of the car and sat on the floor for some minutes before he regained his strength. He said his legs were shaking vigorously. Myself, I like driving early in the morning and night and I discovered my sight is seriously affected by the ray of light faced during this time of the day. I pursue free medical one month like that and I won it with Total fuel card 45k. The free medical after 300trips can not solve the eye problem for me as they said I entitled to only 10k for eye clinics. The worse part of it was that my account was blocked same month up till now. Since then I gave myself sense regarding pursuing bonuses and free monthly health care when I realized uberbolt don't care. Though some people were extraordinarily created by God but not all of us. |

Sir, the right up above is for those who have dreams and believe they can achieve it not for those who don't care about their dreams, aspirations and skills. Dailyparrot: To be sincere, Ehailing is like every other means of making money legitimately. I don't see why a recent graduate should wait until the labour market has worn out his shoes before venturing into it.
This mistake of "I am a fresh graduate" is the reason some graduates remain private school teachers five years after graduation.
A goat that will be a male starts from the mother's womb says an Igbo adage.
I made a comment on a post some time ago to a guy who claimed that his brother is putting pressure on him to get a job simply because he lives with them.
I told the guy that if he spent one year before service, one year during service making it two years and still went back to live with his brother, then his brother should be worried because he might as well remain unemployed for the next five years.
Thinking Ehailing as a fresh graduate is a step in the right direction. It means you are thinking of the worst case scenario, what you will do. That does not mean that when a good opportunity presents, you will reject it in favor of Ehailing.
Nigeria is not getting better and there's no good job anywhere except you have the strong connection. So, accepting the reality and refusing to live in delusion is the only way to be ahead of your mates.
Modified
Here’s the link to the thread https://www.nairaland.com/6676055/how-handle-maltreating-brother#104271142
I'm sure this guy will definitely quit Ehailing because riders are jealous or insulting his fine looks. Why would I think of worse scenario when my mate are aiming higher? Have you forgotten what some people said right on this thread about aiming low? Is like you are advising him to join lazy drivers or use their advise as yardstick when you have the like of current GOAT. |

Felicity0001: Well, its a good thing you're already thinking and mapping out plans on what to do with your life after graduation and its also applauding you're already an undergraduate enterprenuer, i must say I fancy your courage, enthusiasm and mentality especially in this country Nigeria where there're limited opportunities.
To be honest it not easy getting a job after school even if you're lucky to have one most of them the pay is nothing to write home about, parents are dying in silent after spending their youthful life and money training their children only for them to graduate without a reasonable job... It very sad. Many graduates and undergraduates because of that have resorted to go into internet scam and other unthinkingable and unimaginable crimes like kidnapping, car hijacking among others. A few that were lucky get laid off may be after a few months due to bad government policies, contract jobs, companies folding up and the likes. This and Many more reasons are why most of us are found doing the uber driving job not that we enjoy it, no! But we have to make ends meet and then hope that things gets better with the state of the country for our children growing up even if not for us again because our own parents didn't suffer all of these we are currently being faced.
Yes of a truth you'll make money driving with uber/bolt but another truth is you'll have to put in several hours of your time driving morning till mid night, 5-6days and most time 7days a week. You'll be expose to both good and toxic humans, many will be ungodly while few will be pleasant, among all of these things you'll try to be calm for the sake of your account getting blocked because you wouldn't want to loose your source of earning. Even with the hundreds of thousands you pay as commission to uber/bolt you're still at their mercy because they have thousands of drivers paying even higher commission than you to them. You'll loose interest trying to apply for jobs because you'll have the thinking, how much can an employer pay you? After all I'm grossing 980k monthly driving. You'll loose weight, you won't have time to hang out with friends and family neither would you want to go on holidays because the surge are tempting so you want to be online at all time. You'll start having sight problem after some time because of flashes of light and your eyes being focus all the time...you'll start feeling your legs shake while walking or sitting down due to long hours driving, some will start having pot belle due to late night eat so constipation is inevitable, many will develope hemorrhoid popularly known as pile, late night eating, indigestion and long hours sitting down to drive can cause this this problem... The unfortunate drivers get robbed, get involve in an accident some their cars taken away and sadly a few once lost their lives to either sickness, accident or to car hijackers, never to be found again unless with God's intervention. Yes something must kill a man but people die in their sleep in their old age so why would a man die while on duty or to diagnosed sickness? Sad!
So my dear friend(s)[newbies] these are most of the truths celebrity driver aka cheerfulgiver and many others with little or no knowledge about the hustle won't tell you, know it now b4 making that decision to join the hustle.
Me i go speak my mind, I stand with and not just by the truth. I will die for it! I've lost a lot for this same truth oh but I've gain more than I've lost.
So like I initially advised "the bolt/uber shop is another man's idea" you are already an entrepreneur so think something bigger so you can stand among CEOs and not among celebrity drivers with unrealistic dashboards.
A word is enough for the wise. Felifeli, remember I said I won't take your post serious again? On this one, you got me and I would advise the Intending ones to weigh this advise before taking final decision. No one can gross 980k as a part time driverpartner. It requires extra/over time. Take it or leave it. Make ago check where surge dey jàre before them park everything finish |

Please note that this only applies to ehailing. For personal use, my choices will be totally different. Na so. In fact the comparison is even 06 Corolla to 2020 IVM on uberbolt. I don't know why them come dey change topic. |

izzou: A Brand new Scania luxury bus is nearing 200 million naira now.
The Chinese knockoffs is about less than half the price of the former.
If both are used to carry the same passengers and collect the same fare, by the time the Scania hits 95 million, the China would also hit the same amount to buy another China.
By the time the Scania would hit the next 95 million, the China would have made the money for the Third one
So in the end of the 200 million generated from both brands, One has yielded two more, while the other one just yielded one.
If you really can't see the point with this example, I really don't know what else to type
You ogas are taking it to another dimension. If we focus on uberbolt alone, Toks06 Corolla is far better and profitable than the innoson. |

izzou: You just fried yourself with your own points
Chevrolet Aveo is not a Chinese product. Chevrolet is American, made by GM motors. Why it was falling apart is what I don't know.
Secondly, GIG could have moved for Toyota Hiace Tokunboh buses (E full Ejigbo). E full Dubai. But no, they are going for locally assembled China buses in Nigeria. Only few transporters are fully Toyota. ABC even has its own assembly plant for its China luxurious buses. There is a reason it's that way.
And I don't know why you keep skipping the point.
Nobody is arguing with you about which is stronger. The Corolla is stronger than anything Innoson would assemble in its category, but economic wise, the Chinese are ever better.
I know a Haulage company. It's like the largest in Nigeria. They started with Tokunboh Volvo trucks from America. Today, they have filled their fleet with HOWO and FAW trucks. You think they don't know Volvo is stronger?
I sell parts for trailers, and 99% would prefer the Chinese knockoffs to their original ones (even when it's available)
I pray you grow bigger to run a transportation fleet. You will understand the fact more clearer.
I rest my case What I have to say is this, When we are talking about transport business, we should not compare uberboltindrive with other ones especially in this Lagos. What vehicles pass through in uberboltindrive can not be compare to those interstate vehicles. The Chinese vehicles may perform better on interstate but on uberbolt they won't pass the test of time. And as for what CheerfulGiver said the he would make #10M in 18mnths from the Chinese product. What if another person made the same amount with the 06 Corolla?
