*Food for thought*

Elon musk's father owned an emrald mine in apartheid South Africa-MONEY

Jeff Bezos started Amazon with 300,000 dollars that he got from his parents and from his rich friends-MONEY

Bill Gate's mum sat on thesame board as the CEO of IBM and convinced him to take a risk on her son's new company- Connection.

Mark Zukerbeg was attending one of the best universities in the world, Harvard. he dropped out to focus on Facebook and he was given the opportunity to showcase what he had- working system

Warren Buffett is the son of a powerful congressman who owned an investment company-family background.

The fact is, it's harder for a person who has no connection, no money, no family support, or a working system to make it than a person who has one or even all of these.

Even Dangote isn't from a poor home. His grandfather, Dantata was once one of the richest men in Nigeria- Foundation.

My point exactly is, the only thing you have is education, why exactly are you motivating yourself with "most of the world richest men are school dropouts"?

Firstly, only 0.7 percent of world richest people are dropouts but have you even considered what the system is like and what they drop out for?

Mark Zukerbeg dropped out becuase he had built facebook, he had been given a platform to showcase it and he needed to concentrate.
He didn't drop out because of carryovers or bad behaviours, or no school fees, etc.

They dropped out to focus. They were one of the brightest in their various classes. You are using basket to pack numerous carryovers every semester in Uniben, and you want to motivate yourself with the story of brilliant people who dropped out of Harvard, really?

See, the only thing you have is education. Why not try as much as you can to make the best of it?
Education is very important, it's no scam. You don't just get education from schooling. You connects with people, make friends and you are even more opened to opportunities while in school.

Think about it.

Are you very sure about this? You may be right though but I'm very sure giv. Fash stampid it very well because some times that traffic usually starts from ile-zic all the way down to dopomu under bridge
Very very sure. I visited my friend every week Mondays to Fridays till he moved to Igando in 2010. He dropped me off at Roundabout once it's pass 3pm and I always trek to Dopemu to continue my journey.

It was during one period like that I think during fahsola's tenor the traffic can stretch all the way down to magoro because of motorist going towards that route and then that U-turm was not there so they felt turning the bridge during closing hours to one way would reduce the traffic and it truly did. But when Ambode came in and did that U-turn maybe they forgot to remove the One way grin

Stupid ppl nun ni
Not at the bolded. I have known that road as one way since 2003 when I used to visit a friend around vulcanizer bus stop (Akowonjo).

The parking pin itself is relatively cheap, I’d say cheaper than any other sensor or mechanical item found in your gearbox. It sits in between the gears themselves so forget about repairing it by yourself.

The main koko is paying the workmanship fee for bringing the gearbox down, opening it up and replacing the pin itself before reinstalling everything back, not forgetting your transmission fluid which should be replaced too.

See, in the future try to be using your handbrake whenever you park your car and shut the engine off while putting it on Parking gear even if you’re in a filling station and refueling. Transmission park pins are not too sturdy and can actually break (like yours must have done) when someone or something applies little force against your vehicle either forwards or backwards while it’s in Park.

In the meantime keep using your handbrake while you save up for the fix. This predicament will teach you the valuable use of that your handbrake lever by fire by force and the longer you wait before the fix the better the habit of using your handbrake will be instilled in your psyche.

You will be a better, wiser and safer driver for it grin
Thanks for this undiluted lesson. Hope using it like that to save up won't have effect on the gear

When you say still moving what do you mean? That’s the transmission is still pushing the vehicle or that the car still rolls when on a slope?

If it’s the first situation then follow IFSHR’s advice above but if it’s the other one then it’s because your parking pin in your gearbox has broken and you’d need to open it up to fix it (this mostly happens if you don’t use your handbrake at all while parking)
Any idea on what it will cost?

No pension, No leave bonus, No benefits at all, yet an average driver commits on the average, 10-12 hours daily on a company that can sack you at will without hearing your side of the story.

There is another oil filter inside, that can only be accessed by removing the sump. That will only have issues when you have too much sludge or any other issue in the engine that requires you opening up the sump.
Okay. Thanks

That's where sense fail most, not the person in question per say. Lot of people want to start big, some prefer camry or corolla. I know of a friend that like clean cars, big ones. Four years now, he has been in and out of cars, never own one for four years. People should always learn to start small and keep upgrading. Imagine if he has approach a bank for 1million and probably family/friends for 200k to balance a for reasonable car a year ago. He may have pass the stage of not having his own car today.
Sir, wisdom no go kee u. That's why it's good to seek for information/advise most of the time. I followed this thread for almost 2yrs before I finally venture into the hustle and I thank God I did.
