Samopex05: Justwise, i intend applying for a visa soon . I have been denied three times by the uk embassy but I can’t remember the exact dates gan gan and the reasons for denial. But I think they all have something to do with insufficient funds (not exactly sure).
I think I can remember the year actually; 2008, 2012 & 2013.
Sure I intend to be honest in my next application about the 3 refusals but how do I deal with the dates and the reasons for refusal. I don’t have the refusal notes with me anymore, I can’t find them. justwise, pls kindly look into this. Thank you |

Naomi2016: A beautiful afternoon to everyone here, please I need your urgent advise. My hubby just got admission for his PhD and we want to apply for visa, below are my questions 1. Can the four of us apply at once? Or hubby should apply alone first. I'm thinking they will say the family is too large ( We have all the necessary cash) 2. Our first child is 19 and the second is 6, will the first born be disqualified because of his age? 3. If granted visa, is it advisable that we all leave at once? Thank you all as I await your candid response. According to uk gov website; https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/923750/student-route-casework-guidance.pdfPage 106 The following people are allowed to come to the UK as a dependant to join a person who has been granted permission as a Student, or who will be applying at the same time: • spouses • civil partners • unmarried or same-sex partners • dependent children of either a Student or their partner under the age of 18 The last point is very dicey meaning there can be dependent children of above 18. Hope this helps in your findings |

TheGuyFromHR: Quick answer: main applicant's and dependants' visas didn't arrive together. Applications were submitted different days in the same week. Timeline is almost a month, first 10 working days nothing, then activity 3rd week, but because we missed the 2nd interview calls twice (both working from home, no help, active and very bored children, busy, busy, exhausted) it was shifted to the end of a week, visa came out immediately thereafter. Does dependants get interviewed too? |

So it’s safe to say that 3rd Class graduates can go for direct Masters in a UK university. Canada won’t accept such tho |

justwise: Ok those pictures and chats + marriage certificate will help your application greatly. You don't have to add alll the pictures and chats, select one or two from each year and 2-3 pages of chat log.
Regarding your last question...yes it's safe as long as you meet the financial requirement for dependant visa. Thank you very much |

Tobexin: marriage certificate is the sole proof needed. I asked because I have read severally where tier 4 dependant visas were denied based on genuine and subsisting relationships even after presenting marriage certificate. |

1.Did you do white wedding and traditional one?
2.Any picture taken before wedding?
3. Chat history?(Whatsapp, facebook messenger, sms) In this case; 1) Did an Introduction ceremony in May 2019. Would be going to registry sometimes in May/June once the economy is back to normal 2) Pictures dated as far back as 4years ago including personal outings, family events etc 3)Chat history: WhatsApp (2018 till date due to the fact that we change phones from time to time) Instagram Chats ( 2017 till date) Is it safe to apply with dependant for September 2020 academic session ? |

How can a couple that got married few months to their tier 4 visa application prove genuine & subsisting. No shared utility bills, council tax bills or joint bank statements as we are not really used to these stuffs in Naija.

STENON: Not sure about the email talk thou . Some people with trusted partner did a low key registry wedding before leaving Nigeria just to bring their spouses here with tier 4 dependant visa and be able to work full time. But it's very risky I must confess, everyone will claim to love you once abroad is involved but on getting here, they changed to another person. I have read and heard so many bad and good stories associated with that route, So many divorcee and unhappy home as a result of dependant visa. Not to scare you but just saying the reality of life. May God help you .
lols. Please ask your questions here, my big bosses are all here to guide you. You are correct but i find this instance minimal as it would be difficult to convince visa officers on such marriages aiming to bring in a dependant spouse. Those guys are very particular about subsisting relationships. Looking for someone to marry within a very short time just to get dependant visa may not be really feasible. |
