Kuulme:CULLED FROM NAIRALAND University of Hertfordshire Dear Nursing applicants, Here is a list of questions I was asked during my interview before the admission: *I was asked about my personal experience, as stated in my Personal statement *I was given case studies and asked a few questions based on that. (How I would react in such situation) *I was asked to talk about a time i had an argument with someone *I was asked about leadership qualities and how well I have performed in such role (based on my CV) Someone else I got know was asked different questions, like *A story on why he chose to study nursing (from personal statement) *Whether he has ever taken care of a sick person or vulnerable person My advice, *Please read the NHS policies, the 6Cs of NHS, NHS code and NHS values. These helped me appropriate give answers to the questions *Read about recent trends in UK Nursing - latest happenings in UK Nursing *Know your personal statement very well, and if someone else assisted you one way or the other, learn how to personalize it. *Read about your school and know why you chose the school. Be interested in the school and know a lot about it All the best |
kayguy2:Sent you a pm bro |
Odedenshi1:Hi bro, sent you a pm. |
Yemzzyy:I have responded to your email. Use your biodata page of your passport as photo identification. Let’s communicate via email so as not to derail the thread. It’s a very very straight forward process. You don’t need any barrister or solicitor
|
Yemzzyy:I did everything myself. It’s pretty straight forward. Use the email option |
Yemzzyy:You didn’t mention the country where you got the refusal so I am assuming it is the UK. I don’t know how fast you need this letter, however using this link will give you full details of your UK immigration history including the letter you seek. I received mine after 3 weeks of application. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/requests-for-personal-data-uk-visas-and-immigration/request-personal-information-held-by-uk-visas-and-immigration#types-of-request |

Iyafife:Pikin wey you born go get status pass you sef cos the pikin no dey on any visa category yet. Pikin wey no get visa wey dey live for UK legally na boss pikin. Nothing like illegal immigrant or overstayer or anything of such.......... Just joking ![]() But normally nothing can happen cos the baby was born in the UK. |
Damidolly:They actually can. It’s their country it’s their rules. No be by force ![]() |
Iyafife:If your dependant did not enter UK when you are on student visa, you cannot bring them in when you are on psw visa. If you travel to naija to get married on psw visa, your spouse won’t be able to apply for dependant visa. |
RalphJean:Okay. I asked this because in my uni admission offer I was referred to as Mrs. I just wanna know if I should stick to it or email them that I prefer to be addressed as Ms. in future documents. Does it matter? Ps: I am married and I have my marriage certificate. |
Quick one guys: Can i use a “Mrs” with a maiden name? |
Aprokodaughter:Thank you. I checked the nctj & bjtc sites for the accredited schools like you said. |
omopapa:Thanks, I would avoid such schools. But how is it that some schools offer courses that aren’t accredited by the body regulating it? This is amusing honestly!!! |
justwise:Thanks |
Bourne007 Omopapa Justwise LagosismyHome mimilyrics aprokodaughter and others Are there any implications if I study a course that is not accredited by a regulating body. In my case, I am going for MA-Journalism. I noticed that journalism in the UK is accredited by NCTJ & BJTC. Some of the schools I have in mind don’t have the course accredited by these bodies. Schools like MMU, SHU, Uni of Chester and Leeds Beckett don’t have this course accredited yet they offer it. I went the extra mile of checking their websites just to be sure. (nctj & bjtc websites). From experience, what do you have to say or advice. |
Bourne007:SAR received today after 3weeks . 50 pages pdf, very detailed. Biometrics, filled application forms, refusal notes (2008, 2012, 2013) e.t.c. I haven't applied for a new visa yet though but there is this deep relief down my spine. I must confess, i really appreciate. *thumbs up |
Adoreberry:Same shoes. I had my first refusal in 2008. Subsequent ones in 2012 & 2013.. I can’t remember the exact months as well. Don’t use the online appplication except you have someone in the uk as you will be needing a UK address. Send them a mail and you will be prompted on what to do. It’s pretty straight forward. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/requests-for-personal-data-uk-visas-and-immigration/request-personal-information-held-by-uk-visas-and-immigration#types-of-request |
Bourne007:So after several back and forth mails and supplying them with the information they needed, my subject access request is being processed. Thanks for the insight. I decided not to use my UK contacts anymore since they said my request can be processed using my naija address.
|
Bourne007:Thanks for the assistance. My mom and sis live in the uk (British citizens). I will ask either of them to take it up for me. I have been looking for a way to get those exact dates gan gan so I can put in accurate details when filling my visa application form against May 2021 intake. Thanks once again, I appreciate. |
Bourne007:Thanks for the information but while filling the form (basic request), it won’t let me go past where it asks for an address. It’s insisting I must be living in the uk and asking for my uk address. |
Bourne007:Mr Bourne, can I use this link to get the actual dates of my 3 refusals. I can’t remember the months, but I surely remember the years. 2008, 2012 & 2013. OR do I just fill any month and use the summary box to explain that I have lost my refusal letter hence the reason why I can’t remember the actual months.

Is it possible as a Nigerian (masters student) to apply for the Federal Skilled Worker Program from the Uk. |
kingsilly:TKO ![]() |
Wahala for who sabi and who no sabi use oanda currency converter. What I will advice is to use the exchange with the higher rate sha, just to be on the safe side. From testimonies, I think both are correct. |
Quick one guys. My sister is a British citizen, when filling my uk application form do I also need to fill her husband as a relative. Or only my sister is ok. Also in my wife’s form, she would be filling my sister as a relative (sister-in-law), does she also need to fill her husband? @Justwise @LagosismyHome @mimilyrics |
Graceisallineed:Congrats to you and your husband. I sent you a nairaland pm, thanks. |
justwise:How about in a case where you can’t remember the exact date and reason for refusal. What do we fill in the column where we declared that “yes” we have been refused a visa before. LagosismyHome mimilyrics |
