Kuulme:
Is there anyone for nursing interview for University of Lincoln or any other Uni? Please let's rub minds together.
CULLED FROM NAIRALAND

University of Hertfordshire
Dear Nursing applicants,
Here is a list of questions I was asked during my interview before the admission:
*I was asked about my personal experience, as stated in my Personal statement
*I was given case studies and asked a few questions based on that. (How I would react in such situation)
*I was asked to talk about a time i had an argument with someone
*I was asked about leadership qualities and how well I have performed in such role (based on my CV)

Someone else I got know was asked different questions, like
*A story on why he chose to study nursing (from personal statement)
*Whether he has ever taken care of a sick person or vulnerable person

My advice,
*Please read the NHS policies, the 6Cs of NHS, NHS code and NHS values. These helped me appropriate give answers to the questions
*Read about recent trends in UK Nursing - latest happenings in UK Nursing
*Know your personal statement very well, and if someone else assisted you one way or the other, learn how to personalize it.
*Read about your school and know why you chose the school. Be interested in the school and know a lot about it

All the best

Hi, I really need your help, amongst the documents required to be submitted, phot identification needs to be certified by a barrister or solicitor. How did you do this please
I have responded to your email. Use your biodata page of your passport as photo identification. Let’s communicate via email so as not to derail the thread.

It’s a very very straight forward process. You don’t need any barrister or solicitor

Hi everyone, the uni I applied to has requested to see my previous visa denial letter which was in 2015 before they can give me CAS and I don’t have that letter again, does anyone know how I can access a denial letter
You didn’t mention the country where you got the refusal so I am assuming it is the UK.

I don’t know how fast you need this letter, however using this link will give you full details of your UK immigration history including the letter you seek. I received mine after 3 weeks of application.

For university of sunderland, when you say english proficiency letter what do you mean? Where do i get that from?
A letter gotten from your university that describes English language as a medium of instruction. In other words, a letter that says that you were taught in English language.

Uni of Salford: waec/neco

Uni of Sunderland: English proficiency letter

Please oo, kindly elaborate for better understanding. Does this means after July 1st, no more dependants for tier 4 visa?
If your dependant did not enter UK when you are on student visa, you cannot bring them in when you are on psw visa.

If you travel to naija to get married on psw visa, your spouse won’t be able to apply for dependant visa.

If u need a licence or registration by a professional body before you can practice, the professional body will not grant u the licence if your degree isn’t accredited

Hence, I’d avoid any uni that their course hasn’t been accredited by the professional body
Thanks, I would avoid such schools. But how is it that some schools offer courses that aren’t accredited by the body regulating it? This is amusing honestly!!!

If the course is not accredited it means that employers will not be able to verify it, there is no way to know if the awarding university meets high standards of quality for that course, if you have a job already then accreditation does not matter that much

Are there any implications if I study a course that is not accredited by a regulating body. In my case, I am going for MA-Journalism.

I noticed that journalism in the UK is accredited by NCTJ & BJTC.

Some of the schools I have in mind don’t have the course accredited by these bodies. Schools like MMU, SHU, Uni of Chester and Leeds Beckett don’t have this course accredited yet they offer it. I went the extra mile of checking their websites just to be sure. (nctj & bjtc websites).

From experience, what do you have to say or advice.
