Constructing a mere flyover and making noise about it is not construction boom. I can list more than ten locations in Lagos with complex flyover and overpass construction. Actually the red line trains that is supposed to cause a fuss isnt. Everyone seems to be quiet about it and construction is moving like a speed of light.

Waterfall city which is construction, it's ongoing

The modderfontein city that was supposed to have failed is also back again constructing, started in 2020 again

Lanseria smart city which has begun construction, its a development between two provinces.

On top of that there are over 15 city development that are in different phases of development.

All of those are part of Johannesburg, yes in south Africa there are no youtubers who are showcasing different developments in the country like you have in Kenya,

Whet or not it joburg is a construction site or not will never make Nairobi come close to it. Nairobi needs Atleast 50 years in all honesty to match joburg and that means joburg will ground to a halt during this period.

I just saw Pretoria and nothing in Nairobi gives me that feel. If it did I am probably sure this thread would have ended a long time a ago and this endless argument would have been tossed aside.

I am also aware that in medium term will be putting up 0.5M housing units in the affordable housing. I am also aware of road constructions project in Nairobi currently under construction exceeding 2B dollars.

Most importantly I know Nairobi has been ranked 4th Most Dynamic City in the world (Dynamic=fast changing) - only one in Africa to make the list - amongst a bunch of fast rising Asian cities.

And despite being under construction - Nairobi is highly ranked.

Nairobi is a big construction site. Other kenya cities are also rapidly expanding.

I just checked out Pretoria. Nairobi can never match the thick density i just say. Not to talk of roads,transport infrastructures and the likes.
