We know your idea of luxury is to build a house and fill it up with italian, chinese, and spanish wares.
There is a lot that goes into making world class luxurious houses.
It start from designing the house to ensure you live in the most habitable environment possible.
It start from having enough large private spaces.
Look at that shitty Banana Island - you have mixed use development - the guy in the apartment can see what Dangote is upto anytime.
In Nairobi the high class residence are exclusively low rise...you cannot erect even a telecommunication mast without a huge fight.
Then it start from having right environment - with fresh air, natural breeze, birds chirping, name it.
Then you go surrounding - best hotels, schools, hospitals, name it.
That is why Nairobi is well regarded and our real estate is like our gold.

And we are not talking one or two estates - we are talking something like 1/2 of Nairobi landmass

Let me help the Ghanian and Nigeria slum dwellers understand luxury.

Luxury and class is subtle. It doesn't scream like you have low self esteem and trying to overcompensate like the Trump Tower

The house should first be as functional as possible...like the best place to live in when all factors are considered.

In Nairobi - there are two very expensive houses - very old well built houses - some rent for 7,000 dollars a month - and contemporary ones.

Like this simple contemporary house...it deceptive but it has class only the discerning can notice.

This is what I call Basic,bland luxury..nothing here is so outstanding and exotic..like nothing at all..

This is actually standard everywhere except in Nigeria and Ghana. You guys don't have any class or know any luxury. If you want luxury in urban areas it very expensive. In Nairobi it's start by being able to afford at least 1/2-1 acre minimum - in leafy places - and everything from there is too subtle for you.

It's the standard everywhere..urban spaces are really expensive do do the expect to get a house sitting on hectares of land in any of US cities ...that kind of land and greenery us always found in neighbouring towns not the city it self...the city follow urban greenery not rural ,village forest greenery...

Shitty house in shitty neighborhood. Luxury and class is actually easy - you're looking for a house that is livable in all the matrices. That means a lot of fresh air - that you generate by planting lots of trees, trimming grasses,lot of flowers, gardens, birds chirping, a few monkeys, a subtle drive way, swimming pool, kids play area, jacuzi, the best material for indoors - like hardwood that keep the house as natural as possible - and the same for the roof.

At end of the day we are primate - ANIMALS. Our natural enviroment is not a concrete jungle. It's the real jungle.

You are making noise...focus in the luxury home and leave your evil forest village greenery out if it.....


Btw the area is greenery.... perphap you need to learn the difference between urban greenery and rural greenery in estate development...rural greenery is more of a Kenyan style since they are usually tucked few kilometres from the city into a rural poverty village which is mostly a backwater as a result of decades of political ignorance and lack urbanity ..

What you call luxury in Nigeria is ostentatious display of fake gold plated Chinese trinkets. In kenya - luxury - is defined by HARD WOOD finishes. The more hard wood you see the more luxurious - and the less stuff (trinkets) - you see the more luxurious.

Luxury is subtle. One paint work could probably cost all the Nigerian "luxury" Chinese trinkets. One little wooden piece of furniture or a little carpet would be worthy more than your fake Chinese trinkets.

High end housing look like this on the interior. On the exterior - the more trees you see the more expensive. You see life is very funny luxury is all you got right there in Nigeria - you don't have to ship truckloads of fake chinese trinkets.
