SUFFERInSMILIIN: I am not a Kenyan but I have to tell the truth this marriage between Nigeria and Ghana is not going to last at all wait and see. If you Ghanaians can reason Kenya has done nothing to hot gaana. But on the other hand Nigeria close their borders which Ghanaian trucks are sitting at the same a border losing millions of Dollars a week doing nothing. The real Enemy of the Ghanaian is the Nigerian. Ghana has just decided to fall in the enemies trap. A lot of businesses on both sides have been affected by the border closure even VIP transport in Ghana is complaining ABC transport in Ghana is complaining. Africa kenya Tragic SO SAD: MASSIVE EAGLES PREY ON CHILDREN AS FOOD SCARCITY SURGES IN KENYA 773 Ndi Martha Kamng'ona - Nov 20, 2019 0 TAGS Bashkas Juugsodaay Mandera Yapita ija 13 Year-Old Girl Kills Herself as she Thought she was Pregnant After Being Gang-Raped If you are not Residents of the Northern region of Mandera are under yet another peril, as massive eagles become an increasing threat to children in the area. The eagle menace has forced women and children from the region into wearing pots and pans on their heads to protect themselves from the birds of prey, as reported by BBC on Monday, November 18. In an interview with Bashkas Juugsodaay, a BBC correspondent based in Northern Kenya, the locals revealed that the threat began as the drought crisis worsened and that the birds had started preying on young children. A mother and her child cover their heads with cooking pots to protect themselves from eagles posing a threat to children. A local from Mandera narrated how one evening, she and her five children were sitting on the porch of their house when an eagle swooped down, targeting the children. “The latest incident, which happened in Mandera actually, this woman was sitting in front of her house one evening, and an eagle landed on a tree outside the house. She curiously looked at this huge thing, hoping it would go away, and to her surprise, it pounced on her,” Bashkas reported. “In fact she was with three of her five children, one of them a year and a half old, another three years old, and the other four years old. She told me the eagle was actually trying to attack the children,” he added. The woman admitted that it took ten minutes and combined effort from the neighbors to fend off the eagle. She revealed to BBC that it had become very scary for her to leave the house with her children or leave them by themselves for fear of the attacks. Bashkas informed that cases of eagles attacking people had been on the rise and were subsequently reported to the police. However, the police had failed to give a clear solution to the problem. Mother and child cover their heads in Mandera to protect themselves from eagles in the region. He attributed the attacks from the eagles to the current climatic change experienced by the region. The BBC report highlighted that a majority of people from the region were pastoralists and mainly dwelled on meat. The drought in the region has resulted in a massive decline in livestock numbers but the carcasses left behind have since been extinguished, prompting the eagles to start attacking people.
I thought kenyans said they are experiencing massive rain fall and northern region is now the food basket of their nation...Hahaha that land is naturally curse... Zooooooooooooooo
rvp20182: You like arguing. Tea for last year (we mean last financial year) was down nearly 20% thanks to trouble mostly in Pakistan & global oversupply.
SGR this year will transport about 5M - that is about half the cargo that TEMA PORT handles. That is only because we handle MSA-NBO. Once we complete Naivasha Dry Port - and we start sending 40% of cargo meant for Western kenya & Uganda & Sudan there - we are talking about 10M metric tonnes --- so we will easily hit 20M metric tonnes - and our SGR will be NOT ONLY PAY THE CHINESE BUT WILL BE PROFITABLE.
So kenya is not and will never be GHANA matter - if Nigeria is seeing dust - what about POOR GHANA.
Stevoh18: You've rapped you country dry, sending all crawling and flying animals to extinction, you're hunting rats and snails for food... Nigerians is the most useless people
Nonsense..Nigeria have one of the highest wild life species in Africa....go find out

School Feeding: Oyetola Inaugurates 2,210 New Food Vendors (Photos) by Blogsphere: 8:28am Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola has inaugurated 2,210 newly-recruited food vendors to boost the home-grown school feeding programme initiative of the government.
Oyetola stated that his government resolved to continue the school feeding programme so that “efforts at making education accessible and pleasurable for our children will not be defeated.”
The governor also distributed cooking utensils, uniforms, feeding bowls among other materials to the new school food vendors to ease their services.
Oyetola who spoke at the flag-off ceremony in Osogbo, the state capital on Monday, said his administration was giving a boost to the Osun Elementary School Feeding and Health Programme (O’MEALS) initiative by empowering the newly-recruited food vendors to deliver service in a professional, efficient and effective manner.
He commended the O’MEALS management for putting in place a transparent procedure to select the new food vendors, noting that the government is empowering the vendors by procuring cooking utensils and other materials through a soft loan from the bank.
Oyetola disclosed that the bank loan will be repaid by the state government in order not to put any burden on the vendors, noting that the welfare of all food vendors in the state is paramount to his administration.
He, however, urged the vendors to reciprocate the government’s gesture by providing good services through the serving of required quality and quantity of food to the pupils.
“You must not compromise the prescribed rules and regulations of service, including acceptable hygiene rules, general condition of the kitchen and neatness of the cooking environment,” the governor said. The governor also revealed that he had directed officials of the State Water and Environmental Sanitation (WES) to visit the cooking sites of the vendors to check their level of neatness.
“We can neither afford to give our children unhygienic food nor supply them with nutrient-deficient meals. Therefore, anyone of you found wanting in the delivery of their services will be sanctioned.”
The caterers were recruited under the Osun Elementary School Feeding and Health Programme (O’MEALS) as part of the government efforts to promote quality, functional and qualitative education and as well help to make education more attractive and appealing to the pupils in the state.
The recruitment of the new food vendors across the 30 Local Government Areas and One Area Office was an initiative conceived by the government to augment parents’ care-giving efforts and essentially to produce children who are “physically and mentally balanced
