tylann:See the way you cited lunada as an example as though it a developed city (first world city ).That won't justify the fact that you just got a mere traffic light in your wasteland kisumu on Wednesday (in this 21st century ). Pathetic |
tylann:No let's me also try to deliver you from your ignorance I forgive you cos today is a new day so expect fresh bread crumbs from me today . But you have to promise not to be naught again ![]() Read properly starved up creature Starving Kenyans haven't received relief for a month By Grapevine | Monday, May 20th 2019 at 08:19 Share this story: What happened to the relief food programme targeting famine stricken areas? This is the concern by residents of counties in the arid areas of North Eastern Kenya after the supply of the food suddenly rations stopped. Reports reaching The Grapevine say that locals in Mandera, Isiolo, Marsabit, Garissa, Wajir and Turkana have not received any support in the last one month, leaving them to face hunger pangs. Questions are now being raised on what happens to the billions of shillings said to have been set aside by the government to provide foodstuff and other basic needs to the people who are in the risk of suffering from starvation. Over to you Devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa. In other news… A former top government official said to be eyeing a political seat in 2022 seems to have outwitted his opponents. After getting tired of being humiliated in funerals and other public meetings by people who switch off the microphone or grab it from him as he is speaking, the man who was disgracefully kicked out office had to act. |
Oh my gawd this country they call kenya is a joke. Where is that wuoche dude that called this glorified village K-CITY. FOR crying out loud we are entering the 3rd decade in 21st century and a supposed city is just having a mere traffic lights. This show that kenya is not wealthy. The miracle ones they have in nairoslum are the ones put there by foreigners to make the spot they would conduct their businesses to look like a city. When there is no resources this timidity is expected. Kisumu won't pass for a village in nigeria but will definitely fit in as poultry in nigeria ![]() Kisumu gets traffic lights for first time THURSDAY MAY 23 2019 NAS staff install traffic lights in Kisumu on May 22, 2019. PHOTO | ONDARI OGEGA | NATION MEDIA GROUP ADVERTISEMENT By JUSTUS OCHIENG' More by this Author Traffic lights were Wednesday installed in Kisumu for the first time in upgrades aimed at controlling traffic at a number of intersections and pedestrian crossings. The Kenya National Highways Authority (Kenha) started installing the lights in three key junctions along the Kisumu-Kakamega highway following roads upgrade and increased traffic flow with the onset of devolution. Kenha director general Peter Mundinia on Wednesday said the construction of the four-lane highway linking Nairobi-Kisumu road and the Kakamega route has informed the need for traffic lights to boost pedestrian safety and traffic flow “There are pedestrians as well as vehicles crossing junctions so the lights are meant to ensure infrastructure is more efficient,” Mr Mundinia said. The traffic lights are being installed 18 years since the lakeside town was declared a city by former President Daniel arap Moi. Mr Mundinia said NAS International company has been sub-contracted to install the traffic lights by the SBI International Holdings constructing the Kisumu-Nyang’ori dual carriage way |
