First whatever project you implement - let it have impact of millions - if not 10 millions of Lagosian. Otherwise having BRT that transport 150K people in city of 20M people is painting a pig with lipstick. BRT is stop-gap measure that you see in third world cities - not world class cities - you see in Latin America & part of Asia. Nairobi will soon have one - but that is not solution. The solution is to have modern underground commuter light rail that can carry 5-10M per day. Nigeria Lagos BRT is carrying 150K per day -in a city of 20M. You got jokes.

Nairobi is not empty. It is well planned.

Nairobi is grappling with few issues - traffic jams (commuter rail system is the answer) and not enough water (we are solving that) - are the immediate concerns. Your Lagos need to start from electricity - before it can even talk.

The northern collector water project - will increase water supply to Nairobi and reduce water shortages in some estates.

Riverside is not Westland. It seperated by a river. It in Zone 4 - (Lower Spring Valley, Riverside Drive, Kileleshwa, Kilimani, Thompson and
Woodley/Ngong Road) - all those places are mainly residential with max of 4 floors - I think recently upto 8 floors were allowed.

Tha zone 4 - was previously -planned for Single dwelling or maisonettes or town houses on 0.05 ha. Flats were dissallowed.

In 2000s - They allowed flats - of 4 floors if you could connect to main sewer.

And I think last decade it was changed to 8 floors max. That is why DUSIT Nairobi was about 7 floors.

Nairobi is well planned with a lot of greenery as you can see. You cannot just build your slum anywhere. Or erect any structure. There are very many by-laws including how much land you need to reserve for trees.
