I don't take side of anybody,be it my tribe(Yoruba) or any other tribe.I say what is the truth without hiding it, it is unethical, uncivilised to say such word to a whole country, a country of more than 180m people with even its followers outside the country,I country you still reside in with your family.
My Advice to the FG is that they should not arrest him, in order to calm the security tensions in the country.

No terrestrial power is prevalent over a whole country or even the federal authority. This comment made by him(if true) is enough to tear apart the country.
I put it to you Mr. Nnamdi that if you are re -arrested, Nigeria will not be Over Whelmed by your so called, self acclaimed Fire. Nigeria has Undergone so many challenges

The day we begin to see ourselves as one and understand that the things that divide us are irrelevant.

The day we see ourselves as Nigerians first. Not igbo, Yoruba nor Hausa.

It starts by making conscious effort to suppress hate, bigotry and disdain for one another .
well that's what I have been advocating for since this topic,in fact my major reason of coming to nairaland.
I have been a guest on nairaland for several months or if not a year because of the level of hate speeches, tribal comments, unpatriotism etc exhibited by some which made me sit back.
My main aim of being on this Forum is also to sanitize, orientate some that we should tolerate ourselves and put the interest of our country prior in the presence of any other country.

Until we sit up as a country and stop being inferior to this people, imagine a natural disaster like this and some people are still saying "no single bottle in the water ,no dirty" if we don't wake up to our slumber,we might keep on being like this.
We must stop tribal and sentimental idiosyrancies and help ourselves. We keep on Praising and glorifying these whites forgetting the fact that they have worked tirelessly for it.America and other countries did not wake up one day and meet their country luxurious and fine.
The government may not be meeting up to our expectations but can't we do a bit about ours rather than painting our country black, I still reinstate that if a youth leads this country, Nigeria will be a great.
I am a patriotic citizen that, no matter what happens to my country, no matter the hate speech, no matter how harsh the economy may be, I still stand with my country.

I Extend my Sympathy to Texans that might have been ravaged by the Natural disaster.

PoliticsUpdate On Cli-new E-waste Bins, compactors Ready For Cleaner Lagos Initiative by samsobo24(op):
Ambode
Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode has again
lauded the contributions of an environmental utility group,
Visionscape Sanitations Solution Limited to the current efforts
of his administration to evolve international best practice in
the management of the environment, saying that the firm
deserved commendation for its determination to ensure the
success of the Cleaner Lagos Initiative (CLI).
Speaking on a television programme monitored in Lagos,
Governor Ambode said so far, over 500, 000 brand-new e-
waste bins and brand-new compactors have been brought in
by Visionscape without receiving a kobo from government,
while the company is also transforming the transfer loading
stations at Simpson, Oshodi and Agege.
In addition, Ambode revealed that a modern engineered
sanitary landfill is currently being constructed in Epe by
Visionscape, while an exercise tagged ‘Operation Deep Clean’
meant to be a stopgap for the full take off of the CLI, is
simultaneously going on across the State to evacuate waste
and ensure every part of the State is clean.
While justifying the rationale behind the new waste
management initiative, the Governor said: “In the last two
years, we have found out that Lagos generates one of the
highest volumes of waste in the world. At the last count,
documented waste in Lagos was estimated at 13,000 tonnes
per day. Considering undocumented statistics, we can add an
additional 4,000 tonnes per day to that figure.
“Now, if we want to be revolutionary, if we want to be
globally competitive, if we want to deliver on the promise that
I made to accomplish a clean, safe, and prosperous Lagos,
we cannot use the same template that has been in use from
the past. Cleaning Lagos and keeping the environment clean
has nothing to do with environmental sanitation and putting
your economic productivity at a standstill for three hours
every month. That will not clean Lagos.

“Cleaning Lagos means we should give Lagosians
scientifically treated land fill sites, transfer loading stations,
functional dyno-bins, functional compactors, brand new
materials and also be able to employ more people. That is
why I extended my hand to the private sector for a
partnership that will lead to the introduction of 500 brand
new compactors, employ more than 27,000 street sweepers
across the various wards in Lagos and create 200,000 indirect
jobs. And we are commencing this in another few weeks,”
Governor Ambode said.
The Governor stressed that he was not oblivious of the
concerns of the people who have been cleaning Lagos in the
past years, and that the new policy was not intended to send
them out of jobs, rather it would help scale up their
businesses.

According to him, “The new model is a win-win for all of us; I
have offered them a 100 percent income from the commercial
enterprise, so that our private sector participants (PSPs) can
gain capacity and also get more capital to do more work.
There are over 5,000 companies in Lagos – enough to go
around all the PSP operators, with a minimum of 15
companies to each PSP. The government can support them
to make their contract with those companies bankable.

“So, while we are using the Cleaner Lagos Initiative to clean
private residences and domestic refuse, our original PSP
operators are compensated by dealing with companies and
getting 100 percent revenues with just one percent
administrative charges to Lagos State Waste Management
Authority (LAWMA). In the past, LAWMA collected 40 percent
in charges.

“This reform is a product of deep thought and serious human
consideration for the environment and all stakeholders. We
promise Lagosians that effective from September – within six
months – they will see the difference. All they need to do to
help us achieve this goal is to cooperate with the government
and pay the annual public utility levy in accordance with the
law. This is what will fund the project.

“Our bins will be cleared systematically on a daily basis. The
same way the refuse on Adeola Odeku is cleared is the same
way refuse in Badagry, Ayobo, Agege and other parts of
Lagos will be cleared,” Governor Ambode explained.

Litmus:
Nigerians should be very proud of Nigeria's achievements so far in space. Because of Nigeria's adventurous and can-do spirit, which enabled us to view space exploration not solely as the the preserve of Western Nations, Nigeria invested in her own space program and arguably sparked of the interest in space now spreading throughout Africa. South Africa's previous exploits did not do this for Africa.

In many ways, Nigeria is a remarkable Nation, one being seriously wronged by the lies and ill wishes from the many Africans and none Africans on Niraland.

The future is space exploration. Anyone who tells you that Nigeria shouldn't invest in space and then tries to couch this fear in the context of competing demands, is either a patronising white person or foolish and short-sighted Blackman. Or sly types...
Thank you sir, a big country like these should invest in space technology.
I say it here that Nigeria is leading in Africa presently together with countries like SA,Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana,Kenya etc

Why do Nigerians keep Hating this president, out of self hatred or what. Truly we are to check our leaders and criticize them but not to the extent of abusing and antagonising them ordinarily without even taking any bold step to challenge them, Can't we protest or wait till the elections.
Why do we Even Shy away from the good things the presidency is doing like:
The largest online recruitment portal in nigeria and africa(n power)
Infrastructural projects like the repair and construction of abandoned, dilapidated road projects across the country, rail projects, power transmission projects and generation, trying to woo more investors for the oil and gas industry
Public private partnership
Trying to increase the ease of doing business
Improvements in the telecomms industry, Nigeria's broad band penetration target.
Digitizing the country to make the country enjoy the benefits of digital broadcasting that was abandoned by past leaders even in the time of economic boom
Increase in tax revenue
More revenue for the country coming from mineral resources to further diversify the economy
Anchor borrowers program for farmers
Whistle blowers policy to check Economic saboteurs and Even to check Trafficking
Stepping of security in the north East
FG low Cost housing projects across the country
Resolving the Niger Delta crisis
Discouraging unnecessary imports and increasing agricultural exports
Little interventions in the aviation industry, planning to have a National Carrier.
These achievements cannot be Over-emphasized, although we should still not Battle with things like this as a country now.
The Buhari Administration is not meeting up with what we Expect to be done at all. Buhari's insufficient and deficient leadership can also be linked to his Cabinet and other Elements working with Him.
#Nigeria must Proceed
#Nigeria shall rise
#No to Ethnic and religious disharmony
