We are having a meeting with high commissioner to today to prepare for evacuation process. Unfortunately many Nigerians having big businesses and hotels here are not even ready to come home saying over years they invested so much and if they come to Nigeria now the government won't do anything for them . While some have stayed up to 15years.There are some set also who are applied for permit for the past 2years still pending at home affairs but they have registered businesses THOSE ONES SAY THAT PLANE IS NOT FOR THEM. On a serious note the situation is calm now and foreigners are opening their shops and businesses in Durban.President Zuma was in Durban yesterday to address the people .However other townships are tensed now because hungry locals are warming up to start looting while foreigners especially Nigerians are warming up defense policemen working 24hours a day because most times looting and killing take place at night .Right now the whole world is condemning SA govt so the government is now acting before they only condemning while locals were looting no action was carried out to stop them.

Employers take foreigners because locals are very very lazy ,They take sick leave every week .Most foreigners opening rented these shops from black SA ,why can't your people run these business .The soul aim of business is PROFIT while should I employ someone who wil ruin down my business with laziness and sick leave?why should I employed some1 who is drunk over night and forgot he suppose to b on duty?why should I employ someone who refused to upgrade himself yet he want to earn like gradudates? I known many Nigerians operating big businesses employed black SA as waiters and cleaners , Above all foreigners been attacked are owners of small scale businesses and jobs . I know many Nigerians here who have hotels and businesses employing black SA.A barber or shoe repairer is 100times better than an uneducated black SA who is waiting for government grants .Why can't these your locals learn a trade than roaming about?Are you aware we have thousands of SA homeless and hungry in Durban?We can engaged in a sincere discourse if you care .

YES TYPOP thanking you for your care .We are safe by grace .Tension has reduced now .Malawi government has started repatriation of her Citizens,Mozambique has followed suit .The High commissioner of Nigeria was with us few days ago to see situation on ground .We are safe but all foreigners have closed their shops .

Bros you have not profer any solution to the problem on ground with all your comments so far .First your govt has tightened immigration law since last year (visitor visa holder can't apply for permit in SA. Second.SA economy can't survived without foreign investors .Foreigners are not employed by your government they run their businesses and pay taxation Infact some employed black SA to work in their companies. I know a Yoruba medical doctor who owned a big hotel in Durban 90percent of staff are Zulu.Ironically this yoruba man bought this hotel from Zulu who couldn't manage the business .Third ,the SA government is trying a lot by providing scholarships and grants to SA citizen for better education which is very good and commendable . However the hungry,uneducated and unemployed blacks in townships are not benefiting from this .Most don't know what they want to do in life and government also don't know what to do with them .These set of people are very angry when they see foreigners driving cars and looking good..I asked a lecturer yesterday this question what is the government doing about this set of hungry and frustrated black SA?The same question am asking all intellectuals SA on this forum.

I am so disappointed by many tribal bigots on this forum .Xenophobia attacks are carried out against your countrymen you are busy singing tribal music .While others due to ignorance and myopic minds are making meaningless comments .Let me clear some misconception many Nigerian don't know about situation in SA .Xenophobia attacks in DURBAN are carried out by few hungry,frustrated and Jobless black SA.The educated and employed Black will never involved in such barbaric act . First,there are thousands of Nigerian(both Igbo and Yoruba) in SA in medical,educational and business sector who helped SA government by employing black SA in their companies .(As the law require) Second,there virtually no University in SA you won't see a Nigerian as lecturer or researcher .Third ,the percentage of Nigerian involved in Drug business and illegal business is about 10percent in Durban (both Yoruba and Igbo).For the past weeks I have been to Durban magistrate court for research and I got list of all Cases I saw just 3Nigerian ,2Indian and the rest black SA(Zulus) .The 3 were arrested for drug cases and scam ming .The percentage is not much compare to what we have in UK,US and China although some "sorted "themselves out .Fourth,Many Nigerian are roaming aimlessly in SA doing nothing(some sell cd movies on roadside to survive) because they were deceived by agents that once they get here jobs are sure,unfortunately SA economy is crumbling and thousands of Citizens are jobless.The only jobs foreigners get here are science oriented and professional jobs(you have to contend with Indian,Pakistan and Chinese and due to shortage of skilled citizens(There are skilled citizens but number is just too small for a crumbling economy ) .Although many Nigerian run small scale stuff like Saloon,Canteen and so on Fifth ,We in the business and academic sphere have informed the SA police several times that if you caught any Nigerian in drugs dealing and illegal business arrest and jail him but they will arrest and but release them due to bribery they are very corrupt (SA policemen are same with Nigerian policemen the only difference is blue uniform and belly is bigger ).Please if you have family members and friends in SA and they can't explain what they are doing to survive please beg them to come home .We have done that several times but they won't listen to us .They have tarnished our image so much here .Lastly the number of hungry,uneducated and frustrated black SA is increasing and the government has not figure out the solution.These few elements are "Time bomb "for the society .

It is easy for people to type different opinions from Lagos,Abuja ,Uyo etc .While some are just talking trash because they don't know true position of things .Bros the Xenophobia attacks in Durban are carried out not by educated blacks and employed black Citizens but few hungry,lazy and frustrated Citizens .They started last week looting and killing congolese,Ethiopian and Zimbabwe in Umlazi and Kwa Mashu .All what the SA govt could do was "we condemned these attacks".They did nothing to stop these boys. These hungry locals seeing that the government is less concern in protecting citizens move to Durban City in large numbers to continue the looting and killing .what do u expect us to do?fold our hands and be killed ?or Run ?run to where when the locals surrounded everywhere with weapons and policemen were only watching .It was at this point Nigerian mobilized all foreigners and informed them " if you sit down and look you will perish like fowl and decided to armed themselves with weapons for self defense and with large number started marching to confront the locals .That act by Nigerian marked the turning point here because the government officials and policemen saw "dangerous weapons displayed by Nigerian.It was at this point the security personnel saw that casualty will be much if confrontation take place .They began speaking Zulu language to the locals telling them Nigerian weapons are much and that Nigerian are ready to die than to allow any looting in the shops and stores.The locals now went back to township(their base) to loot Ethiopian and Somalian shops .Are u saying this act is WRONG?
