notime3555: samtolly coming out clean what do you mean. No offence intended. What is your aggregate bro? I blew the merit by a whisker of 1mark. You allegedly claim to have 267 aggregate.. Yet you weren't admitted. That is plausible. As for the subject combo, Economics is very very well accepted for Law, so that isn't a excuse. I wrote commerce and by God's Grace, I was admitted. So bro, come out clean with yourself... You will be doing yourself good. God bless you. |

Jodekss: i chose politcal science with the combos as thus: eng, lit, govt and crs and i did that cos jamb brochure okayed same but oau shook her head that never, that that is the reason my name wasn't sent but amendment was made and thanks to God i met the merit for my second choice course too. So I think that explains it sires... Interesting! So what should have the combo be like? |

Jodekss: My people in the Lord, if you met the merit but haven't seen your name, perhaps it's cos you have a wrong subject comination, you must run down to the school, the senate building, the admission office, try and relay the question of wether the combo is ok or not or the reasons your name ain't included... I have my reasons for saying this o. Peace...! . Sire Jodekss, can you tell us the concise reason..... You might be saving a life.. |

AmiableJay: It's not the same in every institutions sir. In U.I, we're offering two law courses in Year one. The reason why it's not so in Ilorin is because law in Unilorin is four years. Oh Sire! Guess my previous post came in late. |

Creative mind: I don't think so brother. Graduated from the University of Ilorin and I did over 3 law courses in my first year. E.g Introduction to Business law, Introduction to Private and Property Law, Introduction to Constitutional Law, Policing in Nigeria, Legal Method etc. Thanks for the enlightenment bro. The person that told me this is a 200L Law student of OAU. Do you think the Syllabus might differ school to school? Considering the fact that OAU's Law is 5 years as to 4 years in UNILORIN. |

Gbolasky: THE 4 WIFES – An Inspirational Story There was a rich merchant who had 4 wifes. He loved the 4th wife the most and adorned her with rich robes and treated her to delicacies. He took great care of her and gave her nothing but the best.
He also loved the 3rd wife very much. He’s very proud of her and always wanted to show off her to his friends. However, the merchant is always in great fear that she might run away with some other men.
He too, loved his 2nd wife. She is a very considerate person, always patient and infact is the merchant’s confidante. Whenever the merchant faced some problems, he always turned to his 2nd wife and she would always help him out and tide him through difficult times.
Now, the merchant’s 1st wife is a very loyal partner and has made great contributions in maintaining his wealth and business as well as taking care of the household. However, the merchant did not love the first wife and although she loved him deeply, he hardly took notice of her.
One day, the merchant fell ill. Before long, he knew that he was going to die soon. He thought of his luxurious life and told himself, “Now I have 4 wives with me. But when I die, I’ll be alone. How lonely I’ll be?
Thus, he asked the 4th wife,”I loved you most, endowed you with the finest clothing and showered great care over you. Now that I’m dying, will you follow me and keep me company?” “No way!” replied the 4th wife andshe walked away without another word.
The answer cut like a sharp knife right into the merchant’s heart. The sad merchant then asked the 3rd wife, “I have loved you so much for all my life. Now that I’m dying, will you follow me and keep me company?”"No!”replied the 3rd wife.”Life is so good over here! I’m going to remarry when you die!” The merchant’s heart sank and turned cold.
He then asked the 2nd wife,”Ialways turned to you for helpand you’ve always helped meout. Now I need your help again. When I die, will you follow me and keep me company?” “I’m sorry, I can’t help you out this time!” replied the 2nd wife. “At the very most, I can only send you to your grave.” The answer came like a bolt of thunder and the merchant was devastated.
Then a voice called out : “I’ll leave with you. I’ll follow you no matter where you go.” The merchant looked up and there was his first wife. She was so skinny, almost like she suffered from malnutrition. Greatly grieved, the merchant said, “I should have taken much better care of you while I could have !”
‘Every man and woman has four wives or husbands. What do these wives signify?’
THE FOURTH WIFE The 4th ‘wife’ is our body. We love our body day and night. In the morning, we wash our face, put on clothing and shoes. We give food to our body. We take care of our body like the fourth wife in this story. But unfortunately, at the end of our life, the body, the first ‘wife’ cannot follow us to the next world. As it is stated in a commentary, ‘When the last breath leaves our body, the healthy color of the face is transformed, and we lose the appearance of radiant life. Our loved ones may gather around and lament, but to no avail. When such an event occurs, the body is sent into an open field and cremated, leaving only the white ashes.’This is the destination of our body.
THE THiRD WiFE Our 3rd wife ? Our possessions, status and wealth. When we die, they all go to others.
THE SECOND WiFE The 2nd wife is our family and friends. No matter how close they had been there for us when we’re alive, the furthest they can stay by us is up to the grave.
THE FiRST WiFE The 1st wife is in fact our soul, often neglected in our pursuit of material, wealth and sensual pleasure. Hmm... What shall it profit a man, if he gains the whole world and loses his Soul? Nice one bruv. |

Mmgboji: kk... Wish u guys all the best in ur quest for legal education. Law is a very demanding discipline but i bet u'll feel proud u did, at the end of it all. After my 1year stinch at the nigerian law school, enugu campus, i make bold to say that the only sane and meritorious institution existing in the whole of Nigeria, is the Nigerian Law School. But 1st, u need sheer hardwork and utmost dedication at the University level to get there. If u're still considering changing frm philosophy to Law, u're wasting time. As he rightly asked: what will the course outline be in year 1 be like for Law? I heard the only Law course in year 1 is PUL101. Others like Lit, Eng, SSC, PHIL,.. are more or less of borrowed courses. |
