But still,I don't believe what most christians/muslims believe especiallylly most of the things written in those books...many of them are without real facts...I pick the lessons there and not the persons.

Creative mind: Before I forget. I don't want Sam to notice it first. I've written on the functions, here are the features: Law is a set of rules. It regulates human conduct in the society and states punishment for crimes. Law is dynamic i.e it is not static, it modifies to meet evolving sets of standards in the society. Before now, there was no law against internet fraud but when people took to it, the law in its dynamism grew to deal with internet thieves. It is created and maintained by the state. To a limited extent, law is stable, fixed and rigid. Law is also a body of rules. It is backed by an amount of coercion or force. Its violation carries punishment. It is the expression of the collective will of the people. I'm tired fa. Can't remember any again. Did it since 100 level. Before i go, i'm proud to announce to the house that the faculty of law UNIVERSITY OF ILORIN is among the 15 faculties in the WORLD that qualified for the 2013 world moot. I mean, amidst the likes of Harvard and co.

Protects public peace and order. It helps in dispute resolution.
Protects certainty of systems.
Facilitates orderly change.
Brings out justice in society.
Outlines the power, limitations, duties and rights of the government and people (this function has suffered not just a slap on the face but a blow on the jaw in Nigeria).
