Creative mind: As tight as my schedule is, I think i need to pause to comment on this inspiring dictum. Yes, law is like clay, the clay can't decide it's own fate or what is made out of it, it is solely the work of the potter. To my mind, the Justices, Judges and lawyers are the potters. No matter how beautiful the provision of the law is, no matter it's likely fierce nature against felons, no matter it's subtle characteristics towards the law abiding ones, it can never grow legs, wings, hands and even mouth to act for itself without those to interprete it efficiently and effectively. As a rare realist, let me make a scenario, assuming we have a bucket of high quality clay, it beholds the potter to make something useful out of it, but due to the potter's inability to be creative, insightful, productive or focused, he might possibly waste it by moulding snakes or tortoise out of it. But I can not but say a better potter would utilize the clay to mould something beneficial e.g pot. The bucket of clay is our various laws i.e constitution, evidence act, criminal code etc while the judges and the lawyers are the potters. The corrupt and less intelligent ones among them would apply the law wrongly to suit their men after being paid bribe. Some out of shallow knowledge of law misuse the law for selfish and political interest but the best potters are those who had built justice, equality, human rights, liberty etc out of law. The likes of Lord Denning, Niki Tobi, Kayode Esho, Aloma have without doubt done justice to the clay before them.

Law is a Clay, Clay has neither form nor shape of its own except in the hands of the potter who breaks,mold and remolds it. That is law, even in its molded or remolded form it remains dynamic,otherwise the society will be static and dull.
