Very mature response thus he need for me to revert. True, indeed very true that the title of the thread is actually 'Whats your pain'.

Judging from the quality of your response I can safely assume that you understand the value of perception in our society. The underlying reason for the wanton failure in our society especially as it regards the unemployment saga of the last two decades is primarily due to the archaic educational system inherited hook line and sinker from our colonialists which in turn has eroded the self confidence of many graduates. You cannot put people in school for 20 years and all you do is prepare them for 'employment' and then fail to provide opportunities. Our education does not provide for self reliance in any form.

Some fundamental re-positioning that is clinically precise must be effected. I would however add that despite this wobbly educational structure you still find a few people who have self developed beyond what the school system offers. It is this lot that luck is likely to smile on. And by the way, I draw from a well of personal experience in recruiting both entry level and middle level manpower for the private sector. An experience that spans 15 years.

We need to get our graduates to understand that they are as god as the knowledge they have which they can transform and not the grade registered on the piece of paper called a certificate.
And yes Sir, I have reached out to her.
Very spot on ma. Thanks for reaching out to her. Now do you mind reaching out to me too? huh
My kind regards please

You need to do a self-assessment and check where you are getting it wrong at your final interview stages. You are scaling through the initial written stages, so this may have to do with your approach / presentation / communication skills at those final stages.

And most importantly, there is a place for prayer and fasting, if you are doing all that should be done but still having doors shut.

Wish you the very best.
Exactly ma. Theres the place of self-assessment. I did that and I found possible areas of improvement. Unfortunately, I have not attended interviews recently, just tests and tests and tests. Hopefully, in the coming weeks, I'll have a testimony.
And I am praying o, but God has the final say and everything happens when HE allows it

Hmm..thanks sir. But then, it's only God that has the final say cos I dey try. If God does not bless, no man can. And as a Christian, I've got no option than to keep praying and hoping, as there are no shortcuts...

Best post on this thread so far. No pity seeking attempt. Objective and straight to the point. Which part of the country do you reside madam Sarah?
Hi sis. Morning. The title of the thread says "what's your pain", so you shouldn't be surprised that many posts are 'pity seeking'. One describes a pain to show how 'pained' one is. This is not some competion to find out the best Cover letter or motivation letter
But I understand you. Please reach out to that sister. If she gets a job, that's one less individual removed from the statistics of the unemployed. God bless and and I extend my regards
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Dear Jobseekers, What's Your Pain And How Can You Be Helped? by samuel3818: 1:09pm On Jan 20, 2017
Exactly what I needed. ..I just might find help here. I studied Civil Engineering and graduated at 20 (m not 23 yet)in 2014 with a 2:1 in Civil Engineering (that type they call 'strong 2-1). I went for service in 2015 and completed my NYSC April 2016. I went jobhunting even before completing my service and was at the biggest construction firms in Abuja. I haven't heard back till now. Now this describes my job hunting process so far:
Now let me tell you some things.....

1. KPMG (Final interview....dropped after five previous stages)
2. Access Bank (final interview at head office with head of HR....dropped again, after series of tests and interviews)
3. Concept Group ( dropped again after final interview with CEO....after three previous interviews and numerous tests)
4. Williams Akintola Deloitte(wrote test, got a success mail but I haven't heard back since October)
Standard Chartered (dropped after fourth stage
Union Bank ( didn't even invite me cos apparently they didn't get my application)
FirstBank (wrote test in December but we've not heard anything). All these plus several visits to construction sites and being met with "we're sorry".
The last yes I wrote at an investment banking firm was on Saturday 14th January, and although the result isn't out yet, I am so so optimistic cos God proved Himself as usual.
At the moment, there is nothing save for the npower thing.
I would appreciate if anyone would just help link me up. I am open to any form of written assessment or whatever might be required. Engineering or any other form of industry (as long as it is a Graduate trainee role ) would be highly appreciated.
sampopoolacareer@gmail.com is my email address, should you want to contact me

So I just realized I sent my application to recruitment@abax-oosa instead of career@abax-oosa shocked sad I have been cracking my head as to why I wasn't invited for their test when I met all their requirements and even more. Oh well goodluck to those who made it to the next stage.
Hi miss. Well, I applied on their portal and wasn't invited (it beats me that I couldn't select being born in 1994 on their portal). After a while, I applied again through the correct email address and still didn't get an invite. So I just assumed it's not meant to be..
Jobs/VacanciesRe: UBA Aptitude Test: What To Expect? by samuel3818: 2:38pm On Jan 19, 2017
biggboy:
Here is a detailed description of how I applied.

1. I browsed UBA site and click on career
2 . I was redirected to their skillsmap portal
3. Skillsmap asked me to upload my CV and I did.
4. I was also asked to register with basic information, previous salary and expected salary etc. I did and clicked on quick registration.
5. Later I login and filled other details like uploading my passport, education background, employment history etc
5. I later got an email from UBA for the Aptitude test .

Hope this was helpful?

If you still need more enquires send me a whatsapp message here.......

N.B.. I will be removing this number here from 2pm..
Hi bros. Thanks

biggboy:
Yes, I applied through skillsmap on their website. I uploaded my CV then did a registration and upload my passport. I did not use the 'Generate CV' option.

I think the generate CV is culled from your registration details.
Okay but please let me ask something again. What 'registration' did you actually actually do? You completed all the sections but just didn't use the 'Generate CV'option right? This would mean that you filled 'High School grades' (which I don't understand how to fill), 'Tertiary grades' and all?
M sorry to bother you, please

Hi bros. Through the skillsmap portal on their site right? Did you just upload your own CV there or you filled the stuffs and clicked on 'Generate CV'?

who have answer to dis question, why exactly do we strive to work in the bank? pls if you cannot answer this question convincingly then you have problem. the fact of the whole thing is dat there's money in First bank as a staff. but I encourage some of us to drop all earthly motive, which ranges from extravagant spending on clubbing, carrying ladies etc. God can only entrust his resources on whom he trust. rededicate ur life to Christ today and stand a chance to enjoy his favour and grace. I see every genuine one reconciling from his evil way enjoying the favour of God altru the selection process. this what God lay in my heart for somebody. the race is not for him dat runneth but for God dat showeth mercy. by the reason of ur genuine reconciliation with the holy spirit. I see you sharing ur testimony of Goodness. Your case shall be different. Amen.
God bless you sir
