Health / Help!! How Do I Get Rid Of My Purple/green Veins? by sanbells(f): 8:42pm On Jul 16, 2016
Hello Nairalanders.I'd really appreciate if someone could give a me a useful remedy to this.
I've been using this ''lemon Fresh lotion' for about 5 years now until this year.I loved the cream coz of it's scent and the fact that it helped clear of my pimples, infact,i'll give it an A in that.Buh of recent,I started noticing this greenish veins on my skin, especially my hands.Crazy thing is I never noticed it early, not until late. And I've always known those green veins to be a result of bleaching.I'm not a fan of bleaching,I never meant to bleach.I hate the look of these green veins. It's irritating. If I'd known the cream was like this I wouldn't have used it.I always look at ingredients before buying a cream buh that particular one didn't have any bleaching agent so i thought it was safe.besides, the cream cleared my pimples and rashes that's why I stuck to it.I changed my cream to Jergens buh I felt it got worse,I just want to bring back my skin to how it was, getting rid of those green veins.I'm currently using vaseline coz I know it's the least harmful cream and i don't want any more chemicals that will spoil my skin. Please good people, can anyone advice me on how I can get rid of these green veins cause I'm tired of seeing them and it irritates me.I'll appreciate every useful comment on this thread.Thanks.

Career / Re: 4 Crazy Things I Love About Being A Lawyer by sanbells(f): 9:41pm On Mar 23, 2016
Amodsun:
Being a lawyer can be crazy and weird at times, but hey, there are still many things about being a lawyer that I love so much. For some of us, it may not be too much money or a luxurious life characterised by sleek cars and great mansions; but it just could be other little crumbs that falls off the table of the profession.

I know you all would be expecting me to go talking about how heroic our works can be; rescuing the oppressed, protecting the week, fighting for people’s right and all of that, but I won’t. Of course those are noble deeds we do as lawyers, of which we take pride in. But can we be a little selfish here? Already they call us liars, how about them calling us selfish too? Like we care! Here are my little selfish reasons why I love being a lawyer-

1. I Love The Attention It Attracts

Oh please, who doesn't love attention? We all do, though the degree at which we crave for it may differ; so don’t give me that look. I love the feeling I usually get when I walk into a bank and one of the staff calls out in greeting to the hearing of everybody thus- “you are welcome barrister”. You can imagine the stares that such greeting generates, and to think that I am the focus of such is so cool. By the way, this is not peculiar to banking halls, it just happens everywhere. You all know most folks don’t know us by our names, and even the few that do, would rather call you a barrister than your name. This plays out in so many ways and I enjoy every bit of it. You can call me a kid, it’s okay, am just being honest here.

2. I Love The Feeling Of Fear We Trigger

Are you in doubt of this? Ask some policemen. I laugh when some of my colleagues narrate their experiences with policemen, especially at the police station. A policeman on sighting a lawyer at the police station, probably on the invitation of a client, who is being detained, immediately turns into a tiger. It’s funny. Why would they turn into tigers all of a sudden? The guys are intimidated. Why are they intimidated? They are the bad guys, and here comes the good guys who won’t let them have their devilish ways. Naija police I hail o! You know what I do when I confront such scenarios? I pity them and try to assure them that I am their friend, while laughing in my mind because I know I am not their friend in anyway. They are bad. Yes I said it. Same goes for other folks who won’t just want to do the right thing. Talk of landlords who wouldn't want to follow due process in ejecting tenants out of their houses, creditors who also won’t follow the right means in recovering their debt, and many others. We are the good guys, and the bad guys hate us.

3. I Love The Controversial Aura

You will be shocked to hear all kinds of opinion people have about lawyers. Seriously, they don’t just think of us as liars; they think a whole lot of shit about us. I heard some even think we all are occult members; can you beat that? I intend to conduct a public opinion on this one of these days, and I can’t wait to really hear stuffs people think and say about us. But come to think of it, who even gives a heck about what they all say and think? I just love that controversial air. Don’t you?

4. I Love The Fact That We Can Be Trusted

It takes a lot of faith and trust for people to share intimate things with you. We are talking about secrets and confidential information here. People literally lay their lives bare before their lawyers. Folks trust us with their lives. It’s humbling. I know it also comes with a great responsibility of not betraying that trust.

I love being a lawyer, don’t you? Let’s hear your own reasons why you love being a lawyer. I actually mean your selfish, crazy reasons!
Legooooii gringrin
Well I hate lawyers!Generally I hate Law.It's one of the most boring occupation I can ever think of.I can't imagine myelf working in a court room, putting up with all that;''ORDER! OBjECTION MY LORD! ...BLA BLA BLA'',quoting all sections of the constitution,so boring!I love the outside world.Occupations that'll take you around the world, get to meet people, get social, anything showbiz. That's my definition of fun!

Education / Re: JAMB 2016 Should Not Be Scrapped Or Remarked - See Why! by sanbells(f): 4:57pm On Mar 13, 2016
glimpse33:
JAMB 2016 SHOULD NOT BE SCRAPPED/REMARKED...

I Have Been Reading Online Posts On Nairaland, MySchool & Some Other Blogs, And I Kept Seeing Lazy Users Screaming, Calling For The Scrapping Of Jamb 2016.
I Simply Read & Laugh At These Posts.

After This Post, Richiez , olawalebabs , Fynestboi & Lalasticlala Should Stop Paying Attention To Those UnPrepared/ Dull Candidates Calling For The Scrapping Of JAMB 2016. Because, As Far As You Are Intelligent, You Must Definitely beat The Mere 180+ Cutoff Mark, Even If Your Result Was Poorly Marked.

Jamb Has Been In Existence Since 1978. And It Has Been The Only Body Screening Secondary School Leavers Before Post Utme Was Introduced In 2005.

Fast forward To 2015 When CBT Was Fully Introduced, Its Safe To Say That It Was Success. And Now 2016, And I Must Say It Is A Huge Success As Well. For All Those Screaming #RemarkJamb2016 / #ScrabJamb2016, I Am Sorry To Say You All Are Dead Heads, Empty Brain.

Before You Throw Stones At Me. I Also Wrote This Years Jamb And Scored 243, Reason Was That I Prepared 100%. I Got All My Essential Chemistry, Physics, Maths & English Text Books. Plus Downloaded The Syllabus Of Each Subject & Read It Word For Word. (That's The Criteria For Passing JAMB)

I Didn't Rely On Past Questions Like Most Of You Did. I guess That's The Reason Why Y'all Failed. Also, Most Of Y'all Spent All Your Time On Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter While The Wise Ones Was Busy Preparing.

Plus Those Of You Making Stupid Suggestions On Scrapping Jamb, Meaning Whosoever Passed WAEC Would Just Go And Sit For Post Utme. WTF
WAEC Is The Most Corrupt Exam Body, As SS3 students No Longer Write WAEC By Themselves. They Now Depend On Miracle Centers.

My Advice To Those Who Scored Below 180 In This Years Jamb Exam Is: Quit Most Of Your Online Activities & LOVE Your Book. For God's Sake What Is Wrong With This Indomie Generation

You Guys Are Just Too Lazy To Read. And It Is The Lazy Ones That Are Screaming #ScrapJamb, While The Intelligent Ones (Me Inclusive) Are Already Preparing For Post Utme.

#Peace!

What If JAMB 2016 Is Officially Remarked And You Scored Below What You Got Before
you might be intelligent brain wise.but your comment shows you're not character wise.you're arrogant, pompous and self centered.you really need to change your way of reasoning.this admission ish is a step by step thing.u might have crossed the first step, buh there's no sure gurantee that you'll cross the next step and gain admission.you had 243?good for you.i expect u to thank God and also pray for others but instead, you're being so arrogant and calling your fellow aspirants names, you haven't even gotten admission yet.do u have the slightest idea that people get 280 in jamb and still don't get admission?whereas others with lower scores as 198 gain admission.it happens,it's not fiction.don't look down on others simply because you've been favoured by God.this is what brings people down.you're favoured and instead of you to stay humble, you exalt yourself and feel untop of the world.you think it's because you studied hard?you burnt candles and had sleepless nights?nop.it's the grace of God.various people did that too but didn't get high scores like you.but don't be surprised when they gain admission and you'll still be at home.I don't wish u that though.but beware of your character and utterances.instead of tongue lashing others coz u feel ur better than them, pray for them and wish them well.you're not better than anybody.stop feeling like a god coz ur not.The race hasn't ended yet.until then, you have no right to look down on anyone.
Perhaps you're not even sure you deserve that 243.that's why you're scared of jamb being remarked coz ur scared you'll be caught. If you're sure of your score then it shouldn't be your buisness.

Autos / My Experience Today With Some Policemen by sanbells(f): 8:23pm On Mar 12, 2016
I was walking with a friend along a road very close to a plaza at ikot ekpene,Akwaibom state. So we met a group of armed police men inside a toyota truck. At that point they were buying two sachets of water from a young boy of not more than 14yrs.They were actually at the back of the truck. We watched them collect the water, tear them open and drink them in front of the boy without paying. The young lad waited patiently for his money while he watched them consume the water.Soon another truck with some policemen inside drew near. They signalled to the driver of the former truck to get moving. We watched them zoom off, still without paying the boy.He asked for his money but they practically ignored him while chatting and laughing like idiots as they zoomed off.The boy looked on,feeling dejected and hopeless. What would you expect of a young boy who probably tries to make ends meet by selling sachet water on the streets and is deprived of what rightly belongs to him by the same people who's duty is to protect and serve citizens?Same people who try to deceive themselves by referring to themselves as our friends. We got so vexed up and touched as we saw the boy looking dejected. We ended up giving him #100 in place of his lost money. We really have a long way to go in this country.
