I understand what you're trying to say, but the men also want a woman like those that they see in the same American movies. Same there, the economic situation pushes women to think of their material needs first and they don't have time for 'real love' like what the American movies shows thus as what Nigerian men want. The thing is that society has pictured the man as a 'hunter', even for things like relationship... So the women are just waiting to be 'picked-up' by the men... That's why men are always in 'offensive mode' when it comes to initiate a relationship. There are as many single ladies than single men. Just my two cents... |

I wouldn't ever marry out of love. To me marriage is a contract for life and don't have to be taken lightly. I see love as something frivolous, it comes and go... I can't plan my life on something so inconstant... If my husband love me, that's a plus and nothing else... |
