FamilyRe: The Robots My Sons Built To Help Me With Chores At Home. by sandra2025(f): 9:42pm On Jun 04
Caaz:
My kids came home for the midterm break....it has not been easy especially with my boys.

My first son .....let's call him abulum despite all the training I ve given to him has suddenly clocked himself out from doing chores.
What to do than to reset him with sound motherly mild mending .

My 2nd son likes working but has now started copying his elder bro.that one still dey collect mild motherly mending and I ve seen improvement in them handling chores.

My daughter is the only one that is perfect with house chores and I ve bn compensating her with accolades and gifts.

This noon I came back from work.only for my boys to present me with these canned ROBOTS.

THEY said when they ve gone back to school.these robots would take their place and do domestic chores for me....

I just weak.
Nah! Those kids are just playing with your intelligence and patience.
You cannot compare Nigerian kids with kids from highly technological developed countries of the world. Those kids in developed countries already know the robotic parts to join together and they would really be obeying commands. That's why they're far way ahead of us.

Your kids never reach anywhere, nah Nigerian curriculum kids. Best bet, give them better woozing and take them back to format mode.

Assuming Peter Obi agreed to be the VP to Atiku Abubakar in ADC, they would have won with a landslide over the incumbent APC (Tinubu) easily. But, I guess too much pride would now bring them down on the knees of Tinubulation.

Anyways, I'm waiting for my PVC by December, so that I can vote for the first time. I'm voting for NDC.

Tinubu has really made all of us sad.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Chelsea Fans Celebrate Arsenal's Champions League Loss by sandra2025(f): 9:54am On May 31
kanmie:
Rooney 🗣️ “I’ll be completely honest, Arsenal were absolutely robbed tonight, there is no other way to put it. You look at that foul on Noni Madueke in the box; it’s a stonewall, 100% clear penalty. How the referee or VAR hasn't given that is beyond me, and it completely changes the dynamic of a Champions League final.

But for me, the moment that truly gave it away the moment you knew exactly what the referee was doing was that halftime whistle. To blow the whistle right as Arsenal are literally standing there about to take a corner? I’ve played this game a long time, and you rarely see that unless there’s a blatant bias. It was shocking, and it set the tone for everything that followed.

In the second half, it became a totally different game, and not because of the football. The referee made absolutely sure that every single 50/50 call, every little nudge, and every major decision went straight to PSG. It completely killed Arsenal’s momentum. But to be fair, I’m not even surprised. We saw the exact same story when they played Bayern Munich earlier in the tournament. The officiating was heavily skewed then, and it’s happened again on the biggest stage.

PSG might be lifting the trophy, but they cannot honestly look at themselves in the mirror and be proud of the way they’ve won this final. To win the biggest prize in club football like that? It leaves a horrible taste. Arsenal deserved so much more tonight.”
You don't even know what you're saying. That run in by Madueke was not even near a penalty call. Madueke was the one stretching his hand in between the defender and he went down mildly without fuss. What about the double handball by Saka in his own 18, why did the referee not blow a penalty in favour of PSG?

Forget sentiment, Arsenal did not do well in the penalty. That's the fact. Take it or leave it, the better team won.

Arsenal should wait for another 50 years before they can win the UCL.

RomanceRe: They Have Used Sir Sir To Block My Advances by sandra2025(f): 12:47pm On May 20
Kalulu44:
Good day ladies and gentlemen of the great NL house!
Before I go into the main gist. I want to first apologize to those who thinks I write stories too much and they're sometimes long and boring to them.
Let me introduce myself first. I'm a single father of 3 who lost his Benin wife to their Japa syndrome since 2010 and never seen or heard from till today.
By God's grace, after 20yrs of driving commercially to survive and train the kids, I formally retired last year. Not bcus the job wasn't lucrative, but bcus I was warned to stop after having some series of severe back pain, neck pain and leg pain.
Thankfully, before retiring I managed to win over a hired purchased bus that's fending for my 3 kids who are staying with my aunt who at 60+ doesn't have a husband nor a child.
Not wanting to stay idle, I currently work as a security personnel at a Guest House from 7pm to 11pm, while taking care of the owners house which is just beside it during the day. The owner is in US. So I practically stay in the big house all alone. Honestly there's no much work for me to do there other than weeding and cleaning the compound once every week. The rest of the day is just for eating, browsing and sleeping. Not wanting to be lonely and depressed is why I am almost online everyday, writing stories and gossips about my surroundings.
Like I always said, 90 to 95% of my stories are real life stories with the other percents like adding maggi, salt and spices to make it sweet or interesting.
I love writing, reading, driving, music, movies, sports especially football and watching documentary on history and biographies.
.
Now to the main gist. I lived and work in an area fully surrounded by hostels occupied by students and youths working in Chinese companies in Ogun state.
Electricity in the area is epileptic and comes once every week. Luckily for me, due to the guest house, I have 24/7 light from either solar or generator which makes water abundance for me.
But the students and workers are not that lucky. So majority of them always looks for where to charge their phone and also gets water.
When lights come, they normally pump water in their hostels, but it doesn't last more than two days.
Like two to three compounds normally used generator to pump water where they always go to. Sometimes the owners of those places allows them, sometimes they rejecting them.
Another only source of water in the street is a well at the extreme end of the street, it's stressful for some of them.
.
I started working where I am now January this year, but I always stay on my own and just observing the students and workers.
For me to make friends with some of them, I started getting water for some of them that usually greets me. If I see they have walked and walked looking for water and didn't see, I will just tell the person to drop his bucket and then go inside and get water from them.
But anytime I do this, they always thank me with sir sir.
One among them, who was learning hairdresser and selling men clothes online, approached me one day and begged for her to use my compound to make videos of her clothes.
I obliged her and ever since then which was February, we have been friends.
.
With time I began to like her, but her constant good morning sir, good evening sir just like the other girls used to greet me always discouraged me from telling her my mind about her.
After Easter my phone got spoilt and for close to 3 weeks I didn't have chance to go to Lagos and repair it.
And it was the time my feelings for her became strong.
I didn't know how to approach her, so I used the opportunity of her giving me her phone to charge for her to write down my feelings for her on a sheet of paper and attached it at the back of her phone.
.
When it was time to collect it, I told her there's a note I attached in her phone that she should read it. She collected it, thank me and bade me goodnight sir while bowing down a little as a Yoruba girl she's.
Hoping to get answer the next day, even though I was apprehensive on how she will take or react about it.
My people, this is 3 weeks now since I wrote that letter and she hasn't said anything or confronted me on why I wrote such notes.
But we have been greeting and talking to each other since the next day after the note till date, and both of us pretending such never happened.
I said to myself once I repair my phone, I will send her a msg asking what she thought about my note and why hasn't she replied.
I got my done last week, and I still don't have the courage to ask her both in person or thru msg.
.
But there's a reason why I haven't.
In between those times my phone was still spoilt and the note sent to her. There was an electrician who came to do some repairs in my compound sent by my boss.
It was same time she too came to do videos of her clothes in my compound. The electrician told me he like her that I should run her for him. I told him I can't that he should go himself.
So he used the guise of wanting to buy her clothes and approached her.
I sha know they exchanged numbers.
This was 2 weeks ago, so last week when the electrician came to finish his work, he ask me of her. I told him I thought you collected his number the other day. He said he did, and that he has bought clothes of 30k from her.
But that when he tries to pushed further about dating her, she told him she has a guy.
.
Hmmmm.... I heave to myself and asked him his next line of action. He said he'll pushed further. I just mutter the words ok o.
So since that last week, hearing she has a serious guy, (even though she hasn't brought any guy home or any man came looking for her unlike some of the other girls)
It just makes my resolve of asking her what she thinks about my note weak.
But we do see and talk everyday, but her constant "es'e sir, ekaro sir" always puts me off. I don't know if she's deliberately doing that so I will know she respects me as an elderly person. By the way she's 28 while I'm in my early 40s.
.
To the other girls, I am getting closer to some of them. But they too wants to kill me with sir sir sir, and thereby knocking me off of asking any of them out. All these is bcus one of my child a girl who's 17 came to visit me one day.
But the truth is I am seriously lonely, bored and depressed at times. If not for NAIRALAND and Sportsnews and YouTube, only God knows what I would have done to myself. I really need one of them as an acquaintance and if it can lead to a serious relationship, I am ready for it.
Just that I don't know how to go about it with the over respect they're according me.
.
So I am asking for womanology experts who knows how to go about this to give me some tips. The pictures attached to this post are mine, am I too old in the true sense of it or what. Cus physically I look young and agile to most of the guys I see some of them hang around with and I am not mincing words here. I will welcome any thoughts from you all, both insults and good advice.
After all I made the post to get engagement and discussion to kill off boredom.
Thanks and good day to you all once again.
Is this your story real or imagination?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal: Title Contenders Or Just ‘almost’ FC Again? by sandra2025(f): 6:53am On May 07
SportConn:
Let’s be honest.

1️⃣ Under Mikel Arteta, Arsenal have clearly improved. The football is more organized, the mentality looks stronger, and they’re no longer pushovers against big teams.

2️⃣ Players like Bukayo Saka and Martin Ødegaard are carrying serious responsibility and delivering. Young core, big potential.

3️⃣ But here’s the issue… when pressure hits, Arsenal still wobble. We saw it last season, leading the table for long, then falling short when it mattered most.

4️⃣ Is it a mentality problem or just lack of squad depth compared to teams like Manchester City?

5️⃣ Another angle: recruitment. Arsenal have spent big, but are all signings actually improving the squad or just adding numbers?

6️⃣ Defensively, they look better, but one injury to a key player and everything starts shaking. That’s not title-winning stability.
So the big question:

Can Arsenal actually win the Premier League soon, or are they stuck in the “almost” phase?

Be honest, no bias.

Are Arsenal genuine title challengers or just overhyped?
Arsenal will definitely win the EPL (90% sure).
Champions League - Arsenal 40% VS PSG 60% win
I told my Arsenal friends to start gathering money to buy 5 cartons of beer, as this is their best year of winning EPL.
Anyways, I am Manchester City fan since 2012.

I have a theory. It might sound stupid but still.

I think he has a parasitic organism inside him that cannot survive in a live host.

So for the parasite to live, it has to ensure it's host is dead, it has to control its hosts brain and thinking, maybe make him feel like he's been choked to influence his decisions of cutting himself. To relief the pressure around his neck.

You can see how relieved he was after cutting his neck, when the blood was pumping out, like a noose was just removed from his neck.

Before he realizes what he has done, it is already too late and then his body dies. The parasite then gets to feed on his body, maybe for months until there's nothing left.

Then it starts searching for its next host.

I've seen several such cases. If we had good scientific research centres, his case would be thoroughly studied.
You watch too much alien parasitic horror movies. What just happened is not a sci-fi movie clip, but frustration on the part of that young man. He may have taken enough drugs, has AIDS, or his girlfriend cheated on him or maybe supernatural possession etc.

Anyways, good riddance to bad rubbish.

I need advice please and good evening to everyone.

So I manage a college and around January last year I got my friend a job at my firm as the Academic Coordinator; from the moment he took the job up until now it has been one issue or the other.

This guy just has to create four slides in a week: that’s Monday to Friday: 9 to 4 and we still have to fight and beg and remind this guy to provide these slides.

The funny thing is that I wasn’t GM when I brought him in but he was present when I was promoted. My predecessor advised me to sack him then and phase him out and I said and thought I could speak sense into him.

Believe me I have begged, spoken to him, shouted at him done everything to get him to change but to no avail.

Please what do you guys advise, I really want to sack him because of his impact on operations and on my reputation but as a man I have been reluctant to take his living from him even though he has no kids and I have three.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

PS: I don’t really keep friends so I asked two strangers today for advise - an uber guy and a random street dude I met on the island today; at different times though.

One said since I know some of his friends I should call a round table and report him, the other man said that’s a bad idea but didn’t really gimme anything substantive.
Hi,

Sack him asap. He's not ready to take corrections and advice from you. Best bet is to tell your secretary to handover the sack letter to him, in case you're not man enough to.

Anyways, those slides you mentioned, are they for PPT presentations?
You said where you work is a firm (company), is it not a school?

Have a lovely day.

FamilyRe: “I Blame My Mother For Being Unmarried At 37” – Woman Shares Emotional Story by sandra2025(f): 8:38pm On Apr 17
[quote author=Breaker001 post=139126610]A 37-year-old woman has sparked emotions online after opening up about her painful life story, blaming her current situation on years of sacrifice for her family.

According to her, she left Nigeria about 15 years ago, travelling through Libya and Italy before eventually settling in Germany, where she worked tirelessly to support her family back home.

In her words, she said:

“I blame my mother for everything I am going through right now, because no man wants to settle down with me. All my mates are married with children, I am the only one left. I will be 38 in the next two months, no child, no husband.”

She revealed that she started with cleaning jobs and later moved into caregiving, sending money home to build a house and improve her family’s living conditions.

However, instead of encouraging her to settle down, she said her mother urged her to focus on her siblings, asking her to bring them abroad and continue supporting them.

“My mother told me to forget about marriage and bring my siblings over. I struggled, worked two jobs, took loans, and brought them here. Immediately they settled, they got married and started their own lives,” she added.

She added that each time she brought up marriage, her mother discouraged her, insisting she was still young and needed to prioritize her family responsibilities first.

Now, years later, she feels left behind as her siblings have moved on with their lives, leaving her single and uncertain about her future.

“Now I am the only one left unmarried. I’m 37, no husband, no child, and my mother is still telling me to be careful and marry a man that will allow me to keep taking care of the family.”

She added that when she expressed her fears, her mother dismissed her concerns, saying marriage is not everything and that she could always adopt a child

believe anything anyone says on social media. She's only looking for traffic. She has been married with kids and husband.

CYBERWEAVER:
I am currently planning to get married. I’ve been with my babe for about a year now.

After several consultations, we agreed on a wedding budget of about 3 million Naira.

But I keep asking myself one very honest question: how do I commit that kind of money to someone who hasn’t really shown the same level of effort back, even in something as small as 5k, despite earning a little?

Asin, I never smell her 5k since we started dating.

At this point, it’s not even about the money anymore. It’s about intention, balance, and simple acts of kindness.

Even on my birthday, I didn’t receive a gift from her, and that stayed with me more than I expected.

I’ve never had to deliberately test her money, because genuine care and small acts of giving usually show themselves naturally over time.

To be clear, I’ve been carrying most of the financial weight in this relationship, and there’s hardly anything tangible she has ever done for herself without at least my 50% contribution since we met.

I don’t complain, but I also don’t want to ignore what I’m seeing.

As a responsible man, I’m trying to be honest with myself before I take a step I can’t easily undo.

So I want to ask people who are married or have real experience: if I go ahead and marry in a relationship where this is the current dynamic, what should I realistically expect in marriage?

I’m not trying to assume the worst, but I also believe experience speaks louder than hope.
My candid advice is for you to abort the idea of marrying her because she would show you shege financially. She's very stingy and not cut out to give out even though she has some cash. Apart from that, whenever she has cash, she would never tell you based on the fact that, she want you to finance her well-being and all.

That's the biggest RED FLAG of all. She would suck you dry and move onto the next simp later. Please and please, don't marry the leech even though you've tasted her kpekus. Don't let kpekus blind your eyes and good sense of judgement, as you would definitely suffer in the future and be frustrated with regrets.

Look for a lady to support you in all ramifications. The time is not late to abort, even though you've introduced her to your folks and maybe you're already acquainted to her people too.

Don't try to change her, it won't work because leopards cannot change the spots on their skins.

Be guided.
