Zend, why did you not sit for the just concluded GCE? All the same, I'd advice you to sit for the very next Wassce that would be coming up and make your one sitting straight (while you keep hoping and ''praying to God.''). Because truth be told, You would not expect the UI to give priority to candidates with two weak sittings when they have many applicants applying with outstanding one sittings.
(just my candid advice. Take it or leave it, it's all up to you.)

STORM2: lol. Here's my opinion on the matter. Getting a first degree isn't easy. Everyone knows that. Now think of the journey to becoming a professor.
first degree, then masters, the 3 to 4 years spent getting a phD. Now during that time u must be reading oh.....and publishing sensible journals (those of us who have experienced project in final year should understand this)
now u will think that after phD work don finish but this isn't true. To remain relevant, u must continue to write and publish.....if u don't you cannot become a professor.
If you notice i've not even added the fact that while all this is happening, the lecturer has to supervise both bsc and msc students,lecture students, take care of a family, prepare lecture notes, mark scripts etc
So while this strike was on many lecturers finally had time to finish their research, some finally published something new (contributing to knowledge is work so don't let FG deceive u), some read up their project students work...etc
the bottom line is lecturers look lazy to us because we don't see them in class during strike but they are always working.....always. So not paying them for four months is just being unfair. Can u imagine not receiving pocket money for 4months? Omo i can't oh

Mzflexydeeva: hmmmmmmmmmm! ASUU!!! I like d line of dis argument. In my view, I tink we shud take it here gradually. We r way behind America & its likes. But we will get dere someday. Dis ASUU pple sef, d little dey have, have dey been able to use it? They ignore d little dey have not making any effort. Internally generated funds from universities shud also be channelled to developing standard of education. Remember dis saying, its not always about wat ur country can do 4 u but wat u can do 4 ur country. Dese same universities have produced great men, dey too shud support. Weda u like it or not, Nigeria is still a developing country

STORM2: that's just the fact. ASUU went on strike in 2009 over this same issue. This is 2013....almost 2014 they have not done one thing they promised. Not one. Instead they spent these 5 months "re-negotiating"
Abeg lemme forget about this matter. The best thing is for all schools to be private owned. Then school fees will be like 600k per student that's when FG will wake.
