Hi all, just seeing what has trailed my previous post and in reaction to that, the initial post has been modified!
Sincerely,it all depends on how u choose to see it.There are sites where u can find salaries of bigger international firms and this means entirely nothing. I think our culture of secrecy has just had its rub-off on us all.
All we just wanted to do was to help ourselves, but going by the bidding of the house,i have complied.
Others can modify their quotes if they so desire.
No offence meant/picked in all sincerity,ur notices r appreciated.
Thanks

koladecollins:

Nice analysis but I doubt if the NHF is still part of tax relief since you already have 7.5% of housing, basic and transport. Moreover the new PITA rate are 7%, 11%, 15%, 19%, 21% and 24%.
Also, 7.5% of basic, housing and transport is 101834.
Clothing, leave nd d incentive are lump sum payment while others are usually prorated
Kolade,NHF is stil part of tax relief, having gone tru d PITA amendments 2011,gazetted Jan 2012.

The 7.5% of B+H+T accounts 4 d employee's 7.5% contribution to pension funds as contained in ur offer letter(terms of employment;pension scheme).Check d ofa leta 4 clarificatn,u wil find out dat under other benefit provided by employer, value 4 pension plan(101,754) is d same as wat I got 4 pension, which is kpmg's contributn as earlier stated in d letter.

As regards d new graduated tax band, tank u 4 ur correction. It was an oversight on my part.Applying d new band of 7%,11%,15%,19% & 24% to our compensation,d take home becomes #138,953.Very slight difference,u would agree.

Worthy of note, howeva is d fact dat dis calculatn might nt b 100% perfect,we can only wait to start collecting d accurate amount.Dis is just to give us a clue of d expected!
Thanks 4 ur valued contribution.

dynamitee: Hi guys. I just collected my oFfer letter. Am I the only one who is completely confused about the compensation analysis For example, is 13th month pay and leave allowance broken down into 12 monthly instalments or are they paid at d end of d year and upon commencement of leave respectively? And I'm guessing(not sure but guessing) that the "total guaranteed cash income" is stil subject to tax. I've heard tax is either 25% or 8.6% depending on whether they r adhering to the new PITA tax system or not... I guess my question is, not counting allowances n benefits that are only paid once a year or not paid directly to the employee, approximately hw much shd we expect to take home monthly? Does any1 have an idea?

I'm certain abt d fact that 13th month pay is paid every december(in lieu of xmas bonus,i think) and that leave bonus is only paid at it's commencement(as does every organisation). Both will not b broken down to 12 monthly instalments as u earlier asked.
Also, the total guaranteed cash income is subject to tax to the extent of d taxable benefits(which i knw not in thier case)!
I however lack clue on the tax percentage, whether or not the PITA amendments will be adhered to.
I'm sure nairaland guys with dat info can educate us on that.

Once again, congrats to all!
I have few questions to ask;
1)Who has an idea of the percentage tax deduction and what the take home per month will eventually be?
2)When will the references from the referees be appropriate (during or after training) and should it be a confidential report to be sent directly by the referees or it can be hand-taken by the employee?
Thank you guys for being there always.
Nice week ahead.

Though i registered recently on nairaland, i have been following this thread and other useful threads for a while and i must confess, it has been quite helpful in updating me as regards my kpmg recruitment status. Many thanks to phonon, naffy, armani and others.
I got the call to come for my offer letter too yesterday.
Hope to see you guys pretty soon.
Best of God in your new career path.
