Please I just got admitted to University of Connecticut with full funding to study a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering.

I've got a question to ask with regard to the scholarship application at the University of Queensland. I just completed my master's program in South Africa. May I ask if IELTS is a requirement for scholarship consideration?. I will appreciate your kind and prompt reply.

Let me know the problem you have with the prequalification form..

I have discovered that the most important thing is getting a supervisor. Channel your effort towards securing a supervisor.

Dept has recommended you to CGPS for admission.
But the admission is conditional until your university in Nigeria send the official transcript to CGPS that when you get the Unconditional offer letter. Congratulations

I applied to University of Saskatchewan to study MSc in Mechanical Engineering in September. I checked my application status and I saw ''Dept Recommend - Conditional''. Please I need your help as to interpreting this statement. What does it actually mean?

I believe you will have a better chance applying from Nigeria, since you have a sponsor in Nigeria and a bank statement originating from a Nig bank.

I have consistently followed this page and I find it so informative. Thank you guys for your dedication.

I am currently undertaking a Masters in South Africa but just applied to study another masters at the University of Texas at El Paso (the same course but different area of specialization).

May I know if my sponsor's Nigeria bank account statement can be used to apply for my visa here in South Africa?. Does it appears safe to apply in South Africa or Nigeria. Thank you as I will need guru's guidance.

Hello,

Since you have a valid study permit in SA, you can apply for a Canadian study permit from there. Do you have a genuine reason why you're going for another masters after your current masters degree in SA. CIC would normally expect you to show a progression in your study. so, I would suggest you explore the possibility of securing a PhD admission. Your Nigeria bank account statement shouldn't be a problem as long as it is verified by the bank (stamped statement and attached cover letter from the bank).

I will try address the questions asked by you.. However, I want to focus on another area of research in my field which South African univerities do offer at the moment. I will prove that out convincingly in my SOP.
