CrimeRe: Canadian Lottery Jackpot Winner Dies After Attempting To Gold Plate His Balls by Sanuzi(m): 9:37am On Nov 30, 2015
WASTED DESTINY
mrben101:
Many people like to flash their cash in different ways – for instance, gold and diamond mouth grills. But to celebrate his recent jackpot win, Justin decided to take it to another level.

Justin Reiter from Alberta, Canada, died of medical complications after attempting to gold plate his own genitals to celebrate an astonishing $598,556 jackpot win.

According to friends, the 27-year-old was enamored with the 2002 movie comedy Goldmember—an Austin Powers parody of the Bond movie Goldfinger in which Powers is hunting a criminal mastermind who colors his victims’ man parts in gold.

Justin started by painting his genitals with a lead-based paint, but quickly decided that a simple coloring wasn’t enough: he needed to take it to the next level, he needed the real gold. To complete the makeshift operation, Reiter used a professional automotive gold plater that he borrowed from a garage. Unfortunately in the twelve hours following the procedure, Justing encountered a series of health issues that ultimately led to his death.

Autopsy reports shows that the actual cause of death was lead-based paint poisoning.

Dr Ian Joseffson of the Alberta Community Hospital warns of a growing trend of wannabie gangsters attempt the “deadly operation”.
Some experts believe the trend stems from the Mayas who painted their bodies with gold to empower themselves as offering the gods.

Others think it’s because, ultimately, these people are stupid.

Police say a suspected burglar died after becoming stuck in the chimney of a California home Saturday afternoon when the unsuspecting homeowner lit a fire.
Fresno County Sheriff’s Lt. Brandon Pursell said a homeowner in the rural town of Huron heard someone yell after lighting a fire in his fireplace.
Pursell said the homeowner called 911 and also tried to put out the fire as his house began to fill with smoke.
Firefighters who rushed to the chaotic scene used jackhammers to break open the brick chimney in an attempt to rescue the man.
However, the suspected burglar, who was not immediately identified, had died during the attempted rescue.
Pursell said the man was responsive during the rescue and appeared to be breathing and moving inside of the chimney.
According to KFSN, a preliminary investigation showed that the man had climbed into the chimney sometime overnight to burglarize the home when he became stuck.
A day later, the homeowner lit the fire not knowing that anyone was inside the chimney.
The Fresno County coroner removed the man’s body from the scene and an autopsy will be conducted Sunday to determine both his identity and cause of death, KFSN reported.
Police say the investigation into the incident is ongoing.

CrimeRe: Ten Types Of People You Will See At A "Baba Ijebu" Kiosk by Sanuzi(m): 9:31am On Nov 30, 2015
NA WAOH. SEE RESULT OF JOBLESSNESSS
HrmOlolade:
If you are a baba ijebu player you will agree with
me that below are the categories of people you
will definitely meet there.

1. The Statisticians
They are usually seen every at Baba Ijebu shops
doing statistics. From their statistics, you will
see that these categories of people are far
better than university students who bagged first
cla$$ in statistics. However, they will analyze
predictable numbers in such a way that you will
keep wondering why they didn’t go for Maths
and Stats rather than wasting their talents at
Baba Ijebu shops

2. The Dreamers
These ones are synonymous to Joseph, the
dreamer, in the Bible. These ones normally see
revelation at midnight of how God showed to
them the 3-direct or 2-sure that will drop that
day

3. The History tellers
They are very easy to spot. You will see them
telling stories of their friends who bought Range
Rover 2015 model from Baba Ijebu winnings.
They will further stress that their greatest regret
is that they were actually the ones that forecast
the numbers for their friends but the emptiness
of their pockets that day prevented them from
playing the game, if not they ought to have
owned a house and exotic cars

4. Share Collectors
This is the category I belong. Yes you heard me
right . These ones are always at every Baba
Ijebu shop, seeking for who just hit a jackpot so
they can collect their own share of the money.
We are always hovering at Baba Ijebu shops
looking for our share from winners

5. Those Charging their Phones
As small as Baba Ijebu shops are, you will still
see customers squeeze themselves like
prisoners, hence, charging their phone

6. The Noise Makers
They always creating argumentative scenes,
which later results to a fight/duel. They will
blame their ill luck of winning on GEJ

7. Those looking Unkempt
Obviously, the larger percent of people you will
meet at every Baba Ijebu shops are always
unkempt. You will always see them looking
frustrated like someone whose wife was
snatched

8. The T. B Joshuas’
This is the right name to call these categories of
people. They are always there to convince other
people not to play a particular number. They will
further add that they know so much about Baba
Ijebu and they know how he interchanges
numbers

9. The Sympathizers
These ones are there to sympathize with those
who lost their gamble.

10. Feel free to add the last one

CrimeRe: Man Who Sold Bars Of Soap As Phones Arrested In Lagos by Sanuzi(m): 9:30am On Nov 30, 2015
HungerBAD:
The police in Lagos have arrested a 54-year-old man, Michael Bisa, for allegedly selling fake phones to customers in the Oshodi area of the state.

PUNCH Metro learnt that Bisa, who hails from Effurun, Delta State, was arrested by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad on Saturday at about 5pm.

According to the police, Bisa allegedly swindled members of the public by disguising as a mobile phone seller in the area, selling bars of soap to them instead.

Our correspondent gathered that the police recovered bars of soap, shirts, some amount of money and envelopes from the suspect.

Bisa, a father of four, said in his statement that it was poverty that drove him to sell bars of soap as mobile phones.

He said, “What I did to my customers is called exchange. The people who came to me to buy mobile phones would be shown a real phone. But while we were discussing the price, I would carefully hide the phone in a white handkerchief and swap it with a bar of soap which I had already cut to size and put in a phone case.

“As soon as they left the spot, I would change my clothes so that the buyer would not recognise me again.”

Bisa added that a friend, who was now dead, identified as Hakeem Tijani, introduced him to the “job” about four years ago.

He said, “I was a refrigerator technician in Delta State. I came to Lagos to look for greener pastures about 15 years ago. When the situation got so hard for me, I met a friend, Hakeem Tijani, who is now late. He was the one who taught me the job. Since that time, about four years ago, I have been surviving this way.”

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Joe Offor, confirmed the arrest, adding that the suspect would be charged to court soon.

Onyedikachi Ohaeri a staff member of Enterprise bank Katina was detained for hours on Friday 27th November 2015 at the ongoing NYSC orientation camp of Borno state Batch B stream 2 corp members holding in Katsina state orientation camp!
Onyedikachi was accused of stealing a crate of egg from another woman who sells fast food in the mami market at the Camp.

NYSC OFFICIAL
The woman [Onyedikachi] came to the camp, and claimed she has someone working for her at the mami market she wants to see. We allowed her in due to the fact that had her ID card hung over her neck. 30 minutes later, this woman [Egg owner] rushed to us with complains that her crate of egg was missing. we had to start searching everyone leaving the camp. We however found the missing Egg with this woman [ Onyedikachi]. We asked her who owned it and she said it was for her that she collected it from her sales girl.

EGG OWNER
Onyedikachi came to me and claimed she constructed the stand i was using to sell fast food, that it is however hers. She said she stopped using it 2 years ago. i pleaded with her and told her that the space was allocated to me by the NYSC camp officials incharge of the Mami Market. She insisted that i must pay her 800 Naira for the sack she used in constructing the place. I agreed i was going to pay her after the camping. She came back today and said i justhave to pay her 2400 Naira and i should pay her immediately or vacate her space.
I and other women in the market pleaded with her but she refused and stood on her decision... I decided to attend to my customers only for me to notice that she was gone and my crate of egg was missing. i had to report to the security men and she was apprehended at the gate.

ONYEDIKACHI

[crying] i am not a thief, i did not steal neither did i come to make troubles.... i onkly came to collect my money... God of Chosen where are you?..... God of Chosen please come and save me!..... i am not a thief i only came to collect my money....

PoliticsRe: Defence Headquarters Detains Generals And Recalls Others Over Missing Cash by Sanuzi(m): 9:01am On Nov 30, 2015
ok ooooooooooooooo
myners007:
ABUJA — In a bid to recover stolen defence cash running into trillions of Naira, the Defence Headquarters might have started recalling no fewer than 20 Generals said to have been involved in the purchase of arms and ammunition for the country.

Competent military sources told Vanguard last night that the suspected top military officers were being detained at a military facility in Abuja and would soon be made to face the music for their roles in fleecing the nation.

Similarly, the sources hinted that key military, naval and air force officers, who had retired within the last three months, were also being recalled to face an investigating panel probing the purchase of arms for the nation since 2009 with a view to ascertaining their roles in the missing defence funds.

According to one of the sources, who spoke in confidence to our correspondent yesterday, the investigative panel, which was raised by the Chief of Army Staff, is headed by a Brigadier General, whose name was not also disclosed for security reasons.

According to a source, “I can tell you that the current leadership of the Defence institution in Nigeria has zero tolerance for corruption given the need to give Nigeria a new lease of life. All those suspected to have diverted any money meant for the armed forces are being recalled to explain their roles in arms purchase.

“As we speak, some Generals currently serving are under detention at a military facility in Abuja while some who had retired but held sensitive appointments relating to arms and logistics procurement have been recalled by an investigating panel.”

It was learnt that some of the detained top military officers might have connived with some national security officers to divert huge sums of money set aside for the procurement of vital equipment and platforms for the armed forces by acknowledging receipt of such items when none had been supplied.

The Presidency is said to have ordered the military authorities to take immediate steps to recover stolen funds allocated to them.

Panel report

This followed the report of a panel raised by President Muhammadu Buhari on August 31 this year to look into defence budget and recommend the way forward for Nigeria.

In turning in its interim report, the panel raised the alarm that certain individuals saddled with the task of arms procurement for Nigeria, made away with huge sums and left the army to fight with bare hands.

The panel said that extra budgetary interventions collated by the committee was N643.8 billion while the foreign currency component was $2.2 billion.

The report indicated that the amounts excluded grants from the state governments and funds collected by the Directorate of State Services and the Police.

The statement said the committee observed that in spite of this huge financial intervention, very little was expended to support defence procurement.

Failed contracts

The committee also observed that of 513 contracts awarded at $8,356,525,184.32; N2,189,265,724,404.55 and 54,000.00 Euros, 53 were failed contracts amounting to $2,378,939,066.27 and N13,729,342,329.87 respectively.

According to the statement, the committee also noted that the amount of foreign currency spent on failed contracts was more than double the one billion dollars loan that the National Assembly approved for borrowing to fight the insurgency in the North East.

It stated that the committee also discovered that payments to the tune of N3.850 billion were made to a single company by the former NSA without documented evidence of contractual agreements or fulfilment of tax obligations to the Federal Government.

The statement said: “Further findings revealed that between March 2012 and March 2015, the erstwhile NSA, Lt. Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd) awarded fictitious and phantom contracts to the tune of N2,219,188,609.50; $1,671,742,613.58 and 9,905,477.00 Euros.

“The contracts, which were said to be for the purchase of four Alpha Jets, 12 helicopters, bombs and ammunition were not executed and the equipment were never supplied to the Nigerian Air Force, neither are they in its inventory.

“Even more disturbing was the discovery that out of these figures, two companies, were awarded contracts to the tune of N350,000,000.00; $1,661,670,469.71 and 9,905,477.00 Euros alone.

“This was without prejudice to the consistent non-performance of the companies in the previous contracts awarded.

“Additionally, it was discovered that the former NSA directed the Central Bank of Nigeria to transfer $132,050,486.97 and 9,905,473.55 Euros to the accounts of Societe D’equipmente Internationaux in West Africa, United Kingdom and United States of America for un-ascertained purposes, without any contract documents to explain the transactions.”

PoliticsRe: "Blame Northern-Nigeria Muslim Elites For Boko Haram" - Bishop Matthew Kukah by Sanuzi(m): 9:01am On Nov 30, 2015
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
TolstoyFan:
The Roman-Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Matthew Kukah has said Northern Nigeria elites indirectly created terrorism as they used religion to deceive poor Muslims. Kukah made this disclosure in his keynote address at a conference organised by the Islamic Welfare Foundation at the Fountain University, Osogbo.

Speaking on the theme, ‘The Muslim agenda for Nigeria: Challenges of development and good governance’, Kukah said: “A hypocritical elite continues to believe that it can claim the benefits of democracy but use it only to consolidate its hold on power. This is what has laid the foundation for what is now Boko Haram. We must locate the current crisis of Boko Haram within the context of the inability of the northern Muslim elite to live by their own dubious creed of being Muslims. They preached Sharia Law but only for the poor. They preach a religion that encourages education, yet their own people are held in the bondage of ignorance.

“They came to power on the basis of a democratic society but they turned around and declared Sharia to generate a false consciousness among the poor that they want a theocracy. They did not wish to live by the same standards, so they decided to live their own Islam in the capitals of the world away from the prying eyes of their own people. Boko Haram began as a revolt against this mendacity, subterfuge and hypocrisy.

“Now, I hear Muslims in northern Nigeria hiding under the cover of the facts by saying: ‘These Boko Haram people are not Muslims. They do not represent us’. Well, first, they are your own children. You must take responsibility for what has made them what they are today and to the rest of society. They claim they have been inspired by the Quran and no other holy book. They say they want to build an Islamic state. So, they are Muslims. After all, from the debates of the Constituent Assemblies of 1979, 1988, and 1995 and beyond, did their fathers and grandfathers not stage walkouts, demanding Sharia Law? Was it not to tame them that President Ibrahim Babangida declared what he called ‘no-go areas’ in the debates about our constitution?

“The promise to institute Sharia has become the most potent tool for political mobilisation and organisation. Till date, the tactics may have changed, but the essence has not. Rather than face the tough questions of how and why over 15 million children in the northern states are on the streets; how and why the northern states are falling behind on almost every index of development, the northern Muslim elite continues to live for just the moment, with no plans for tomorrow.

“Should we pretend that a society that allows the forced marriages of its young daughters could frown on the idea of a group kidnapping and forcing young girls into sexual slavery? Islam must have an honest look at the mirror and have an internal discussion. Although we all seem to pretend that Boko Haram has caught us unawares, the worst thing is that we continue to hide our heads in the sands of self-deception by further denying the roots of this ugly side of our humanity.

“That Boko Haram, its disciples and victims are localised to northern Nigeria, should be instructive. What this calls for is an honest review of the root causes. We need to ask what it is about the past or the present that has led us to this ugly and deadly path. It is my considered view that northern Islam has to confront the realities of taking its religion into the modern world of democracy seriously. Muslims in northern Nigeria cannot accept democracy and reject the inclusive nature of its philosophy as it is the case today.”
