I don't know what you want to use the generator to carry but to avoid future upgrade go for the 3.5kva. Get the generator at one of their office don't patronise shops. U will need electrician to connect the wire to change over. as for the cage, depends on what you have, you can build a big one just make sure there is space for cross ventilation and also note incase of downpour to avoid splash of water on it.

My boss, please I need your guidance. I will be buying a Thermocool 2.5kva or 3.5kva (I've not made up my mind yet) by the weekend. Kindly guide me on the steps and who to call to set the generator up and connect light into the house.

I also intend to call a welder to build something to cover the generator against sunshine and rain. Is this advisable? Thank you

electric start means kick starter means it uses battery mean it starts with a key.....less man power.

for sake of explanation,,,,,,, kva = kw = Hp

but ac/pump always use 2 times rated capacity at start .

mean 1hp ac will require 2hp at start then runs with 1hp afterwards.
ie. thus replacing hp with kva or kw you will require 2kva generator min.

now this become trickier, most generator ratings are less than 90% stated ratings ie a rating of 2kva is actually 1.7kva.

so for durability and for other appliances allowance have to be made for them.

anything ac should be 3.5kva upwards.

Hello prof. This is Thermocool Bobo Max 2500es, 2.5kva/2kw generator.

I would like to know if it can carry a 32 inch TV, one ceiling fan, one standing fan, 5 led bulbs, 1.5hp AC, home theater and a 145l fridge and a microwave. If not, which of these appliances can it carry? I would also like to know what an electric start does and if it's advisable to use it

I ordered on the 28th of December last year and it got to Nigeria on the 26th of January. So, I would say a little less than a month.

About the 300 naira, my items are small items (just a tie and hard drive enclosure). So, I guess it's why it was cheap getting them from the post office

So, I was at the post office at wuse(going by what I saw on nipost site) a few days after posting this but I was told the package had not arrived but they would call me when it does.

I didn't receive any call from them since then and I decided to check back again today, only to be told that I should go to their office somewhere else which they described. When I got there, I discovered my item had been there since the 28th of January. In fact another item which I ordered at the same time had arrived too.

They asked me to pay 300 naira for both items in the end
