Thanks chief. I've not been posting my ads on Nairaland for many months now due to personal reasons and I was shocked when this fellow called me and was talking about a PayPal transaction with him from NL.

This started yesterday night when someone called my attention to an impersonator trying to use my website name to scam him. He explained everything to me, then I had to check NL again to see for myself.

I found out that DoyenExchange, Marcfortune and Mesmer also faced the same impersonation, that was when I knew something was up.

I don't do PayPal transactions to start with, so I was shocked when Sholws was asking about a PayPal transaction.

My advice to you @sholws, do a chargeback on the transaction you did since its PayPal, or tell your bank that you did an erroneous transfer if you guys ran the transaction via Bank transfer.

I can only sympathize with you, but that will not be at the detriment of my own name.

Now the bro is blaming nairaland saying they have a problem at the backend and even saying someone edited his chatlink on his profile page and in the afternoon he had already removed it. For your information, i saved his page and monitored. So many hardworkers here and some people are trying to ruin it, i personally wouldn't advise anyone to do business in nairaland you can hardly tell who is a fraud and who is legit. And even some of the legit ones, are now scamming people. It's heartbreaking, i didn't scam anyone and i even told the guy i work for and this is what he had to say. May God reward all evil doers, and that's saucekide25 and the God that provided will always provide.

My lawyer told me he called you just now, you guys spoke for some time and you ended the call abruptly. He tried calling you once more but you kept declining his call.

This is the last warning I will be giving you here. If you don't refute this mischevious claims of calling me a scammer, I will have no other choice than to take this case up fully.

If I start any process after today, I will not end it until you pay for calling me a scammer, when in actual sense you fell for an impersonator.

I have screengrabbed all the quotes where you called me a scammer and sent to him, if these posts aren't removed and you inform NL of your wrong doing, then you should get ready to pay a lawyer for a very long case.

Its not everyone you just call out anyhow when you didn't do proper checks.

I don't know how these guys are doing this, but Marcfortune mentioned that when you click the Chat.is link ahortener, a number also pops up which doesn't belong to you. I honestly do not know if this was a site breach or someone got into NL backend to change a few things.

I have now removed this link from my profile.

Please, the only number to reach me has always been +2348122204769, any other number doesn't belong to me.

I have never scammed any one, neither will I do so at this point in time, or even in the future.

Any number that's not the one I quoted on this message, I don't use it for any exchange business. I think other Exchangers should also remove the links on their profiles as this might cause my harm than good.

I was the one who brought ur attention to d ugly development.
This is my own account of what I think transpired. Ur account was hacked and a WhatsApp link was introduced while ur contact number was removed. This made it possible for d scammer to defraud unsuspecting victims (by way of providing escrow service) since every other thing remains unchanged on ur profile page.

I almost fell for dis if not that I contacted both Wese90 & 3RNEST who both have me ur number. I showed him d contact number I got from Wese90 & 3RNEST and he said that was now is personal number, but I wasn't satisfied (up till dis moment his WhatsApp link still appeared Macfortune's page). I had to call macfortune dis morning and he confirmed what I saw on his profile page as well.

At dis point I asked d scammer to quote me on NL and he deleted his profile picture and disappeared. In summary, d scammer hacks credible accounts and introduces his WhatsApp link to defraud unsuspecting members, after he's done he reverses it. This was what happened with Doyinexchange and others' profile.

I can now see where all the accusations from this @Sholws guy is coming from. A WhatsApp number +234 906 511 2861 edited to look like mine scammed him and he has been all over me like I was the one.

Please, the mods should quickly resolve this. Staying legit for years and throwing it for peanuts is something I would never do.

I don't even do PayPal transactions, only FIVERR withdrawals according the transaction he described.

The admins should please involve Seun as soon as possible because this might have been an internal job carried out by a mod.
