Romance / Re: What Was That Incident That Made You Stop Your "Talking Stage" With Someone? by Savagethe21st(m): 4:33pm On Sep 16
Gerrard59:
I met her on a Facebook group because of her side hustle. I was interested because of her state of origin. A few weeks into the conversation, she expressed likeness for me. Meanwhile, I was solely interested in the side hustle business and her state of origin. A month later she mentioned how she ordered goods. I requested for the numbers and sent money (this doubled her initial capital). Only for her to ask me in less than a month for money as things are hard in Nigeria. How does that one concern me? Am I Tinubu? So, what about the goods you ordered? What about your job and second side hustle? what do you use your money for? Ah! I wondered if this is how talking stage people write on social media. I don't like it when people ask me for what I am not responsible for.

Looking back, I am glad I called it off and insisted we focus on the business side as she started talking about marriage. Me and marriage? shocked Also, I cannot partake in a long-distance relationship. It is a loss to a man, and thanks to Pansophist for one of his posts on that topic.

Just to clarify, my information about the German embassy and its processes isn’t based on firsthand experience but comes from what I’ve learned from a distant relative, two friends, and a few mutual friends .

I once considered moving to Germany but was discouraged due to the language barrier.

I can, though, pass your question to one of them and get back to you with an answer.

Anything in particular you are asking that I may not understand?
pls do you know time it takes for embassy to get back regarding tourist visa?

The ''EU regulation No 810/2009'', commonly known as the ''schengen visa code'', is the legal document that embassies use to decide on visa applications.

To know your chance of success, you should read that document like a bible. Any chapter that is not clear to you, paste it here and I will answer it.

Getting a visa is not rocket science, you just need to understand how these things works. To be able to see yourself through the eyes of the visa officer.

I have assisted few people on this forum to apply for their visa, and they all got it.

The ones that will not get it, I can see it from their application, and I will advice them not to apply, until they rectify it.
boss you said this before and i remembered it this week when i was reading german residence act. But i am confused. Before job seekers and students had a section called ground for refusal of their visa which includes doubts visa will be used for intended purpose. Alot of visa officers used to bring up flimsy reasons to reject ppl, after which they would quote that section. But currently germany introduce what they call opportunity card for job seekers and it is no longer included under that section for ground for refusal. Does it mean if one meets the requirement for opportunity card they wont be denied?

Your application is straightforward. You are seeking an opportunity to go to Germany as a skilled worker, and right now, Germany seems to have a shortage of skilled workers and is actively encouraging and advertising to attract them.

Many people who get rejected want to go there for this reason but hide under the guise of other purposes. When discovered, it raises a red flag.

I believe you may only be denied if they feel you don’t have the necessary qualifications or the job industry you are targeting is already highly saturated.

Another friend, who went to Germany for work but used a student visa, is struggling to balance school and a job. If he can’t stay enrolled, he risks losing his visa.

At the moment, I believe he has stopped working to focus on his studies to avoid this.

Imagine having to pursue another undergraduate degree solely because of visa restrictions, and not being able to convert it to another visa type.

boss you didnt really get. Is there a way i call speak to you and show you something. You can remain anonymous if you want

Two weeks after the initial application or two weeks after being interviewed by the Consular Officer?

It is likely that your background check passed with no major red flags that would prevent you from being granted an interview with the Consular Officer.

A mutual friend was denied a study visa twice and was only granted it on the third attempt. I never asked why, so I have no details to share about that.

Just make sure you meet every requirement.

Which visa category did you apply for?
i applied for opportunity card..but i noticed something. Everytime they reject somebody they make reference to section 19f of residence act which contains ground to reject people based on differennt sections( "doubts visa is used for intended purpose"wink. But opportunity card and family reunion were not mentioned. Does it mean if one meets all requirements for family reunion or opportunity card he cannot be denied visa for that common reason. Bear in mind job seeker visa was once among the various sections that were mentioned in section 19f, but job seeker has been annulled. I applied under opportunity card

First, when applying for a visa, the receiving clerk checks if your documents are complete and all required fields are filled out correctly.

Next, they will look for any red flags, such as inconsistencies in your application or suspicious elements in your supporting documents.

They will then check various databases, including those from Nigerian departments such as Immigration and Police (and others, depending on the type of visa application), as well as international databases to see if you have been blacklisted, overstayed a visa, or if there are any other issues.

In general, they will verify the authenticity of your documents by contacting the relevant authorities.

After this initial screening, if you qualify, you will be scheduled for an interview with a Consular Officer.

The Consular Officer will make the final decision on your visa application, and you will be notified whether your visa has been granted or denied, along with the reasons for the decision.
okay does it mean after two weeks if no rejection then i am safe. Ppl usually say that

Gerrard59 please i usually tell my friend about your posts and he needs your advice. He is a 25 year old software engineer working at access bank. Last week he just got visa to go to germany to study for masters. Now please advise him which option he should take. Option A: get a software job in germany since a lot of international companies there employ non-german speakers, learn the language there, integrate and get citizenship. Or option B: get a job there and visit usa during holidays in search of a woman to date and marry so he can quickly settle in usa.
Romance / Re: Why Are We Men Attracted To Thick Women? by Savagethe21st(m): 1:23pm On Aug 11
Gerrard59:

You are a black man who like most people across the world grew up in a black dominated environment, thus, you will attracted to the women around you, in this case, who are black women. Black women, on average, have bigger breasts and wider hips. Evolutionary behaviour.

The bold is actually a research question I intend to answer one day. The questions go as thus:

"What is the sexual perception towards black women by black men who were born and bred in societies with fewer black people?"
"What about black men who were born and bred for at least 25 years (why 25 years?) in black-dominated societies but later relocated to societies with fewer black people? What is their sexual perception towards black women afterwards?"

Using myself as an example, while I find Japanese and Korean women facially attractive, I cherish the big breasts and hips of well-shaped black women. The first time I came across a black lady - Gambia - I lost concentration for almost 30 minutes. A Nlder wrote about how his friend, who was based in the UK, was excited to see women when he visited Nigeria. Unfortunately, the Nlder did not answer the question of which region his friend resides in the UK as I doubt it was in Greater London.

Because dem never comot. Ednut has written about how many Nigerian men in Canada fanaticised marrying white Canadian women, but after living there for a while, they married Nigerian or other black African women. This is largely because they grew as teens through adulthood as black men in a black-dominated society. The research interest will be to focus on black men who grew up in societies with fewer black people/women and their sexual perception towards black women. Think of black teens in Finland, Norway, South Korea, Russia etc.
The teens I know who grew up in white dominated environments are half caste and most of them married white women

Those are celebrities who have money and status. While some black sporting celebrities marry white women, it does not correlate to a majority of black men marrying white women. Everywhere outside of Africa, black people marry themselves. This includes the US as well. So your examples are largely statistically infinitesimal.
Here are three research papers which looked at inter-racial marriages and the reasons behind them:
1. Senegalse Muslim men who married in Europe and later returned to Senegal. https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/01419870.2024.2320775#abstract
2. How Dutch authorities clampdown on "sham marriages": https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/1369183X.2019.1625129
3. This concluded that young people (both men and women) from poorer countries trade their youth for US citizenship: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/padr.12072
i love reading your posts because you back everything with statistics and research papers

How does God speak to you about engaging in clearly illegal activities?

While God does work with faith... that isn't the case here. It is not faith to lie about having enough funds to study, then proceed to the US and get stranded, looking for illegal loopholes to stay afloat. That same God also said: Luke 14:28,29 “For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him.”
sir when you went to usa to study did you not tell the visa officer you will be back after studies? I do not understand your hypocrisy

Typical of Nigerians who have mentally checked out of Nigeria, but are surprised that Trump has supporters in Nigeria. Go and tell the victims of continuous Islamist attacks in Northern Nigeria that they have an "immature view of Christianity".

The good thing is that as long as Trump is alive and kicking, he is gonna win the election as I don't see a good replacement from the Democrats and certainly not Harris or Michelle as one FT commentator opined.
Don't you think if Hillary clinton replaces biden she has a strong chance of winning Trump

@pansophist @lordadam do you believe Russia can actually win the war against Ukraine despite the west supporting Ukraine with advanced weapons like patriot air defense system and drones? Or do you think the war will carry-on for years and when Russia feels the cost is not worth it the will pull out and claim they have achieved their objectives?

Truly, we have suffered a lot. I have been visiting places and in all, I am the only black person. It got me wondering why are there few black tourists and the answer is we no get money. We are just too poor. Even when one sees a black person(s), na African American. Black Africans are so few in these places even though I wager that we constitute the majority of black folks here. One might say but you are in East Asia, but I see Latinos and Arabs.

It is a major reason I keep hampering on black men having fewer children. To dey born born everywhere is not a good thing in a rapidly changing economy and geopolitical world. See Sudan? That country is gone for good!
true, we are really poor in nigeria. I earn 900k as a software engineer a month which is just 600 dollars. For me to save 20k canadian dollars to afford masters will take me 3 years. Plus cost of food is so high. I have to double think before i make any spending

The primary condition to release the hostages is public knowledge.
Complete withdrawal from Gaza and permanent cessation of hostilities.
That is by no means outrageous.

To prevent a future attack, Israel must accept the Two State Solution and stop actively preventing the creation of an independent Palestinian state.

This is not rocket science. But because Israel is led by a cross-section of lunatics who have publicly professed working towards complete annexation of every square inch of Palestine, they'd push these outlandish narratives that conveniently sidesteps the all-important birth of the State of Palestine.

We cannot keep kicking this can down the road.

-Lord
we all know two-state solution will stop not Palestinians from attacking Israel. I know you must have heard the phrase "from the river to the sea". Palestinians never wanted the two-state solution and have rejected it on several occasions. Also hamas has un-alived most of the hostages. All is fair in love and war, you cant invade israel, kill over 1000 civilians, take hostages and not expect them to pay you back in kind. Also hamas has also launched several missiles into israel which would have done the same damage if not for the iron dome defense system. Palestinians are playing victim because they are losing the war

I was outraged.
And will go to great lengths to condemn the attack.

But whatever Hamas did within hours in Southern Israel has been completely overshadowed by the reckless, unprecedented war crimes committed by the IDF over the last seven months.
It is possible to be both appalled by the October 7 attack and be overwhelmingly repulsed by the genocidal Israeli response.
One ended in hours with the arrest of 600 of the perpetrators. The other is still ongoing with a five-digit body count of innocents.

Surely, there is a threshold where you can agree they've gone too far.
It is telling that 30,000+ dead is not enough for you.

Pretty compelling argument you've got there. /s

-Lord
what about the hostages. Should israel military negotiate and pay ransome to them so they can be emboldened and execute the attack again?
