Hello friends, a I am a software engineer working in a fintech company in Nigeria. From the state of things I have resolved to leave Nigeria but getting a tech job visa sponsorship seems to be a herculean task due to individual country immigration laws and intense competition from other software engineers from various underdeveloped countries. Now I came across the German work Visa but I have several questions which I need clarity on. In short I need guidance from people who have undergone the process.

Question 1: I heard you need a minimum of 5 working years of experience. Can freelancing in tech also count?
Question 2: I heard you need proof of fund in a blocked account. How is that done and how easily can I retrieve my money if the process doesn't go through.
Question 3: how long does getting an appointment take(I heard to get a student visa appointment takes 14 months
Question 4: How easy is it to get a job in Germany within the six months. Can I also apply to jobs vacancies written in German while I indicate I am currently learning GERMAN.

Please contribute or tell some one who can to help

Give Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) a shot. It’s not difficult. I prepared for it in less than 3 weeks and I passed. I wrote the first Diet exam in Diploma. WES evaluated it for me with my Bsc as two certificates. Goodluck

I think you should stop feeling very sad and start, write your ielts and get in the pool, even if you have to rewrite IELTS to max out or order a remark.
Targeted draws are starting and your NOC is hot, explore getting BCS to also improve your score, and don't lose hope.

I don't know if you are currently dating but I would love to advise you to be very intentional while still being open-minded about your relationship. If you are not currently dating, seek for an understanding partner who can also put you at advantage in this journey. As a software engineer, you are already an asset, find someone who complements you. At least, it worked for me and a couple of other people I am privileged to know. I met my spouse late 2020 while working on a project. She was 22 and had an MSc with over 2 years post NYSC work experience. I fell in love immediately.
I noticed we shared similar ideas and mutually agreed that migrating to Canada was a great option. I also have siblings in Canada, so it was a perfect mix. I'm saying all of these to encourage you to see the bigger picture. Brother, dive into the pool and seek other alternatives (like the second certificate or spouse option) while you wait. I feel very sad with the high cutoff scores. I have only bachelor's degree, I don't have a job offer,I am not married, I have no relative in Canada, I do not have a Canadian certification neither do I know french as a second language. Even if I get a perfect score in ielts my crs will be 441.
