To be honest you can earn 500,000usd or even 1million a month as a lawyer as a dentist as a banker as an accountant and so on abroad especially if you have worked 10 to 15 years in the company you will be made a partner

Silas Adekunle is the highest paid robotics engineer in the world I don't need to tell you that he is Nigerian nor do I need to tell you that he doesn't work in Nigeria he has been earning between 7.5 million and 10million us dollars yearly

The reason I only my focused on law is because that is my field but other fields pay even more than law

However, I can not decieve you or assure you that you will make 1m USD a month or 10m like Adekunle so that is why I used 10k and 5k ofcos people make less than that and are very comfortable but I used that figure because it appeals to me as someone who will love to build something back home in Africa and to me that figure is achievable and can also help you build school, house, or any other small or medium scale business I like back in Africa.

Chris rock once said he is neighbors with Jay z and some other people that he is one of the greatest comedians and jay z is one of the greatest rappers but their neighbours are ordinary people his own next door neighbor is a dentist he isn't the greatest dentist of all time just a regular dentist.
How did a dentist afford that place? he doesn't know, he finds it hard to believe a guy can make that much money from pulling teeth out of people's mouths

It is possible to make millions monthly like ogunlesi but It is not common so I will instead tell you that you can make the median and lowest salary, it is up to you to work your way up and God to butter your bread if you want more that's all

But I want you to know that people earn such outrageous salaries for lawyers look at what these law firms pay their lawyers Kirkland & Ellis, Latham & Watkins, Baker McKenzie, DLA Piper, skaddem, dentons Nigerians work in these law firms, there are over 200 law firms worldwide that pay their lawyers 500,000usd a month none is in west Africa, in skaddem first year associates make 200k per year every law firm I listed has that as the lowest paid others earn 250 to 300k as first year salary and 300k to 500k as 3rd year salary and you can guess the rest

in Japan the lowest starting salary for lawyers even if you graduate with pass is 100,000usd or 10million yen bug firms pay twice that amount but I know you have to give up your Nigerian citizenship to become Japanese and there aren't many Nigerians in Japan so I didnt mention Japan, you also need to speak a little Japanese.

Like I said other professionals like doctors earn more than lawyers

But let us even forget professionals Uber drivers in UK earn 300,000naira weekly for working 40hours a week, in USA they make 11.7milliin naira per year as Uber drivers you can use that as side hustle while you position yourself for better things it's just 40 hours a week which is less than a little less than 2 out of 7 days that is weekend hustle while you go do something else during week days.

Romance / Re: Advive To Males Trying To Settle Down by Savagethe21st(m): 6:55pm On Jul 23, 2020
ibkonekt:

let me ask you if a woman tells her people that she has a man that wants to marry her...the first question they will ask is "WHAT DOES HE DO" aka how much does he have...can he provide for you and protect you...these are the things men are valued for....nobody will ever ask if he is a virgin....these questions dont even come up when a virgin girl wants to marry a man.
now for a man to say he wants to marry a woman the first question is "HOW DOES SHE LOOK" aka is she young, is she fertile, is her vagina top quality...women are always valued for their beauty and fertility first and foremost. other attributes are secondary.
in essence a man that is able to bed many girls (not street wh0res) is wanted by many women because of herd mentality, women think if genevieve wants him then he must be a catch...you get the idea....but a woman that has slept around will never ever be wanted by any man no matter the amount of money that she has. that is why she will never tell you the true number of men that she has slept with in her lifetime
this is the reality of life. a man is a hunter and he will attempt to bed as many women as he can, it is the woman's job to tell him that the only way he can get sex is to marry and protect her.
women are the gatekeepers of sex and men are the gate keepers of marriage and commitment. we each set the standards here.

Crime / Re: My Story As A Cult Member........initiation Phase Included... by Savagethe21st(m): 2:57am On Jul 22, 2020
saynotocultism:

A particular initiation where I lost 3 of my squad members still remain fresh in my memory . I will never forget

RIP aboy....
Rip Ese
Rip Olomi

These men where so close to me that I cried out loud for months . Ese and Olomi where in finals and aboy was a graduate who brought about 3 Jus for initiation . We inivited some men from Benin for the initiation as they had about 15 jus they where bringing . We decided to wait for them before we head to the initiation ground but my chairman called me that he has given me enough grace that his initiation must begin. I pleaded with the chairman to please give me small time so I can come with them as my instinct was telling me to wait for them . Due to the constant call of the chairman , I decided to head to the initiation ground with my Jus and when I got there , I met aboy , Ese and Olomi

Me hailing them : clear road for Aruba like that, Aruba Dante ( I knew Ese right from my secondary school days at don Domingo college warri ).

I met the chairman and he said someone will bring them straight to the initiation ground . They arrived the initiation sooner than expected and I met some of them and we greeted and the initiation started .

Earlier before they arrived the initiation ground, they collected phones from the indigenes of the community and they also collected a motorcycle.
The vigilante chairman of the community is an axe man and so he was the one who gave the right to have an initiation in his community for safety reasons as the head of security in his community . The indigenes cried to him about robbers who stole their phones and bike and they urged the vigilante to reach out to the police for help. But the vigilante head knew what was happening,

Vigilante head : how far my kpoai , somemen just run attarance matter for here now and them disarm phone and bike for here oo. The axe head was furious and and he asked the squad that came from Benin and they all denied . One of the community boys who was a member of the eiye called police men who where eiye members and told them and they decided to invade the community as the initiation was going on.

There was a particular charm I do prepare by my self . With just 1100 , I have prepared it . I prepare this using padlock and some things . I place the padlock in my pocket , if anything bad is about to happen, the padlock will no longer be in my pocket . I told them that the initiation should pause and as usual, the chairman came to me bragging of how is chief priest has cleared coast. I laughed because the chief priest himself no get level, we all no the format of extortion. I called Ese , aboy and Olomi and told them we must all move together. I told the kpoai,

Me: my kpoai , you go mercy ooo, but make jolly pause because this jollof rice no go ever done

Kpoai: my sexy don clear coast.

One of the elders who knew me came and said he is leaving the ground with me. I had took a lot of Kokoma and so I didn’t notice ontime when my alert. I noticed 20
mins after the alert and it should be instant. As we where about leaving the ground , we heard gun shots straight up, then everybody Started running for safety . I called aboy and Ese with Olomi but they where no where to be found . The only dry ground leading to the community from the initiation ground was blocked by the police . We then started running towards Gordon’s beach ( a part of river ethiope ) the beach is now developed though but during our time , it was just three tents at the other end a bar for drinks . I got close to the river with my elder and then we saw aboy, Ese and Olomi . Then I knew immediately that it was korofo for all, all man for himself. I knew immediately the movement was all a scam.

Me: how far,, Na to swim go the other side oo make Coti no come dive man enter workshop
Elder: bam reasoning
Olomi: I no Sabi swim ooo
Ese: me self no sabi swim oo
Aboy: me self ooo
Me: ah , ok we no go fit leave all this men behind oooo, make we find another location follow

The elder just jumped into the river and started swimming to the other side
Other men followed suit and started jumping
Olomi, aboy , Ese looked at me and thought I wanted to abandone them, they then jumped into the river knowing fully well they cannot swim , I jumped in also and started swimming to the other side . Then I felt someone holding my legs , it was Olomi struggling for survival as he was drowning . I had to go inside and free my self from him and carry him up, but it was the greatest mistake that almost caused me my life . He held me like a woman to remain on top. I had to take him down again inside the river to free my self from him and I swam to safety watching him and other men drown . it was as if I killed him but I had no choice . We swam to safety and after we dissolve all offices . We started tracing the eiye boy who gave us out, he ran away from
His community and refused coming back . He has been profiled for death and his profile will be inherited by every regime that comes in place until he his finally dropped . This is just one of the horrors you will experience as a cultist.

Let me tell you a story: There is this particular motor pack that student use to Benin. They are the only motor pack then runnin the Benin route . So we were opposite the pack drinking when we saw a bike drop the ibaka of eiye . He stopped at the pack and bought a ticket to Benin. He enter the bus and sat down. Then one of my squad members became entry just like that .

Me: egede you go wanyo, wetin go make you dey PV ( angry ) for the man ?
Squad member : squad, wetin all this eiye boys do me for fj ( Benin )

He then got up and went straight to the ibaka

Squad : wetin dey make you dey look us and come dey point us
Ibaka : for where I take look you come even point you?

Another squad member : one clappertey equals seven ibaka( lies, no body is stronger than anyone ) . Drop your phone for inside the bag

Ibaka : make I wetin?

Immediately, one of my squad member brought out a razor blade and immediately the ibaka saw the blade, he started pleading and dropped his phone and shirts and trouser . They started laughing at him .

We left the scene and 30mins later , kpoai called me

Kpoai: Na which squad go disarm ibaka Porsche ( phone ) ?
Me: omo Na juname Hail Mary
Kpoai: them don drop two strong men for monkey joint for the matter

I was mapped by eiye members for 24 hrs . Another story I will tell soon .

op i just saw a video of my former classmate in what looks like a convention of buccaneers. I saw many young boys of about 300 in number in their early twenties. Does it mean all of them are potential killers? Because i saw some looking innocent and my class mate was a mass servant back in sec schl

You can get a car cheaper if you have the cash. But if you want to get it on loan, they'll look at a couple of things like your credit history, how much you can put down and things like that. You may end up paying more if you end up going the loan route. It varies.
Thank you for your replies. And I'll watch the video asap

Canny19:

My journey to Canada

PPR landed in January and for an unknown reason I decided to wait till April before traveling. Little did I know that China had other plans for me. Covid broke out and the government decided to shut her airports 2 weeks before my japa date. I wasn't too bothered cos I thought it was going to last for a month but one month became two then three. After realizing that the government's intention is to fail me one last time, I decided to join different evacuation flight groups. The first one I joined was that of 2500 dolls. Immediately, I knew that flight wasn't meant for me or else POF will laccident. I chilled hoping fares will get cheaper. Truly, it for cheaper but still expensive for a broke ass dude like me. Finally I was able to reroute my ticket to Cotonou, Paid extra for the rerouting and also paid an airline to take my group members and I to cotonou. That was how I left my father's land like a fugitive going to seek asylum in Canada (my home country)

As a village boy that I am, I was more interested in experiencing my first plane experience while others just wanted to get to Canada. I had vowed to take as many pictures as possible but my battery failed me Las Las. I sincerely wanted to pepper those who thought a lagos BRT bus is the best thing I will ever commute in.

The plane from lAG to COO was small with little leg space. Before I could settle in to start taking pictures the pilot announced we were landing in 5 minutes. Shoo... 150k flight ended in 20 minutes, I must collect my change from those people.

Cotonou's airport was small and looked like a lagos luxury bus park. No efizzy, no international airport feeling and wifi. At the ET counter we got a shocker of our lives, our land luggage must be checked in and must not exceed 7kg and our backpack must only have laptop in it. The language barrier also dealt with us cos the officers were French-speaking who were trying to communicate in English.
My backpack and hand luggage weighed a total of 16kg, I realized I was going to pay for the extra weight when they started weighing our hand luggage and backpack. I offloaded everything in one of my check in bags and paid 60 usd for it. Some families paid upto 700 dolls just for their extra luggage... E be things o

We boarded and the plane was quite full, I sat at the last row by the aisle close to the kitchen. It seems they knew how much I like to eat before putting me there. I ensured nothing passed me by..... From water to juice to wine to beer to coffee. I had planned to eat everything that passed me by which I did, I kept Flagyl in my pocket incase my village people decided to use food to get me.

The flight to Addis Ababa was uneventful, no in-flight entertainment, no wifi just food and pretty hostesses. I kept looking out of the window trying to catch a glimpse of the scenery, it got to a time the man at the window seat asked me if I would like to exchange seats with him, I declined cos I didn't want to miss out on anything shared by the hostesses.

Touch down Addis Ababa and cold greeted me. I had my jacket in my bag but decided to form hard guy hard guy,my hardness became soft when a lady who clearly saw me shivering had to ask me why I was suffering myself. I thought I could withstand anything but my body failed me.

We wandered around the airport for a while before we got lodged in a 5 star Ethiopian airline hotel cos the next flight was 22 hours away.

The skylight hotel is indeed 5 star, it war my favorite part of the whole journey. I got my key card and went straight to my room. I opened the door and 2 king sized bed were looking at me... Shuuu... Me wey dey sleep for 3 and a half bunk bed go come sleep for two beds....This is indeed the H'abroad life. Trust ur boy na, I made sure I slept on the two beds at the same time.... I scattered myself everywhere. The weather was still cold even indoors, I took a warm bath and got under the duvet.

To be continued
so engaging and interesting. Ride on bro and best of luck

It’s not really lonely because you’ll have roommates living in the house with you. For me, I may have experienced some culture shock but I can’t remember any off the top of my head. I’ll share as I remember. Depending on which school or state you go to, there’s always a Nigerian community somewhere, so it’s not hard to make friends. Transportation could be a problem depending on where you live. For eg. where I live there’s no public transportation, so you have to have your own car. It was quite difficult getting around until I was able to get a car.
chai..was getting a so difficult like here in Nigeria?

That is flatly untrue. Hundreds of thousands of people work on H1B visas for years without any problem. The greencard is useful because it helps you avoid having to renew your H1b visa almost every 1-3 years, grants you the right to travel and return to the US without having to reapply for a new visa all the time and have to explain the "reason for your visit" to the CBP officer constantly. With a greencard, you can easily switch jobs without having to file an amendment everytime you change your employer.
boss i look forward to your insightful post everytime and also support your condemnation of visa fraud. Pls with h1b visa what are the steps to land a greencard and how long. Will it be the company to file for you?

Software development and programming is a huge industry here. Tech Companies are always looking for people who Know how to code very well. I’m not sure about getting the job from Nigeria, especially with the recent order about H1B visa.
However, getting the job from here just requires having the skill, and meeting with the right people who need your skills.
pls sorry whats the issue about h1B,did trump repeal it?

Hey guys!
I created this page to share my experiences living as a student in the US. We have a lot of threads about the visa process, but I couldn’t find any threads on living here, and what it’s like.

I moved here in 2016, without my family, so I’ve had to figure out a couple of things on my own. So I know a thing or two.

Common questions could include how to get a job when you get here?
What type of jobs can you do?
How much can you expect to earn?
How much is living expenses?
Transportation and how to get around your city?
What are the best states to live in?

These are just some of the questions that you could ask. Please, feel free to ask any questions that you may have. I’ll be sure to answer! Good luck!
pls I'm into app developing. Whats the possibility of securing a job there from nigeria ?

systems programming: rust will replace c++ it is just a matter of time. If you want to pursue a career at this field start learning rust but dont dump cpp because rust will be the new cpp while cpp will be the new assembly.
application programming : to be an all round expert at providing end user application.learn kotlin, java, swift and javascript. If you master these languages the sky is the limit for you when it comes to application development.
worthy mentions:
blockchain programming: learn solidity it is the way forward.
data science:learn julia or r it is the way forward
machine learning and ai: haskell and lisp are the way forward
game programming: c++(unreal engine, unity) is still the king of this area, but i forsee rust dethroning it.

python is not a language for the future it is simply to slow, also whltespaces python is good at readability but is very difficult to maintain. Except some drastically changes happen to pvm i dont see that changing.

feel free to add.
in an application quiz game would it require unity? And cpp?
