The school I taught , sacred heart College, apapa , used to have the same grading system.

Kids we usually called dull or not smart get failed because they scored below 60 but we know they will smash exams outside.

I recently got married. After introduction I was asked to pay 50k for list. I was mad and furious but my fiancée's parent explained the details to me.

The 50k is for somethings in the list like opening of register, drinks to call out men and women etc. they told me I wouldn't be doing some things on the list if I pay the 50k.


I paid the 50k and when the list was out, truly I saw several things on the list that the 50k already covered and I skipped that part of the list because the 50k I paid initially already covered them. So I just proceeded to other part of the list.

That is tradition. Most times, the girl's parents if buoyant pay that money without bothering the in-law but if they don't have they have no option but to inform the man.

For the 100k I think, it is not necessary for him to travel himself to get it. He can call one of the elders to get the list for him while he pays the required money. The list can be typed and sent to his WhatsApp (that was how mine was sent, my father in-law didn't bother to travel to the village to get it).

So, if your uncle can do that, the money for transportation can be removed then you may only need to pay like 50k or lower to get the list because umunna will buy kola, schnap etc to sit and compile the list

The Church should be a sacred place to worship and to commune with God not an entertainment center neither should Church be turned to a marriage counseling center.


If the Pastor wanted to turn to a marriage counselor, he should have organized a marriage seminar outside the Church and strictly for married couples.


The work of Church is to win souls for Christ and to help people learn to emulate Jesus Christ and live their life like Jesus Christ and not to entertain or to teach couples how to love each other. The Bible already taught that, couples should read their Bible and once they follow the ways of Christ, they don't need any Pastor to teach them to be good husband or wife to their spouses.


Dear Pastors, focus on Holiness and every other thing will fall in place please!!

Any man not earning a minimum of 150k in present day Nigeria now should quit his job.

That's roughly 5k per day and there are lots of things to do on a daily to make you that 5k.

I am a graduate with high grade and was working and earning 60k a month which they later offered to increase to 120k when I tendered my resignation letter but that didn't deter me from leaving. I rejected the offer and still left.


Before my resignation, weekends I used to visit alaba market to snap products from vendor and market. Wasn't regular but once in a while deals used to click.

I also used my savings to get a good bicycle and registered on Uber, bolt, glovo etc which I used for dispatch.

Made some money, sometimes 10-20k daily and that's how my income grew until I was able to rent a shop and started selling with steady customers.


I can boast of earning over a million on a monthly basis and still finding more.

Even aboki selling orange on the streets make 5k daily, so why should I stay put in an office waiting for month end to earn a fixed salary of 150k when I can enter streets, hustle, improvise and make above that.

When vendors have dispatch to do, tell them to give it to you. If regular dispatch riders charge 7k to deliver, tell the vendor to give you 4k

Come back to the market and wait for another job. Before the day ends you could find like 3-5 deliveries to do and make like 15k daily.

Mehnnn, iPhone almost made me to run mad. Phone was heating , WhatsApp was hanging, battery was draining. I was carrying my old android, carrying my Bluetooth headset, carrying my charger, carrying my power bank and still carry the iphone. Anywhere I see NEPA light, immediately I plug and start charging power bank and phone because as a business person I couldn't afford to have my phone off.

Mehnnn it was crazy and exhausting. I hate carrying loads.

My situation right now

I am 32yrs old and I am faced with a strong pressure to go and marry.

The worse culprits are my secondary school classmates. I am always a topic of discussion, every now and then in our WhatsApp group, on Facebook, in social gatherings these classmates of mine throw all sorts of shades to me.

They think I am a sorry loser. They even think that I am single without a girlfriend.
