And if your complaints is valid, what are they gonna do, they were not forced to attend, lol

Weapons alone can't be a yardstick for comparison...from technology to infrastructure, from governance to economy,Africa is still very far.it seems like when they colonised use they took a thousand years from us..
It's hate and corruption. UAE was likewise colonised, but look at them now. They weren't embezzling their oil wealth like Nigeria that's stealing the country's resources.

Nigerians now travel to Dubai to admire what they could have had as well if not for the corrupt politicians.

Name one war USA won since ww2
They occupied Afghanistan for years. Once they moved out, the Afghan military fell. So Mr, they did not lose in Afghanistan. Afghan military lost and not the US military.

A safety net if a state can afford is good. Short term Some people will not bother getting a job because their basic needs are being met and they don't have to wake up early and be ordered around
Eventually productivity falls

Inflation also sets in, prices rice because business know that their customers can afford.
Speaking of which, I saw someone on YouTube comments praying Biden forgives student debt ,which will add him 1500 per month that he says will enable him travel around the world
When I mentioned safety net, I am talking about combination of overall safety net like unemployment insurance/job seekers allowance (they have term limits to prevent abuse), food banks, tax credit for low income families, child benefit, student grants for students from low income families e.t.c Either Republican or Dem or independent, no party or individual will take those away. They are one of the factors that makes a country 1st world or developed.

In my previous post, I included a clause to the one-off payments budatuum posted about:

"That being said. I don't think the one-off payments would help the recipients much"

Anyone that leaves a job because of $500 one off payment must be a very foolish person. That's like one month of grocery shopping. No one can solely live on that for a month let alone one year.

While I do not 100% support student loan forgiveness (I paid mine in full - about $40,000), I also do not have a crab in a bucket mentality. The recipient should be grateful as such gestures of goodwill are rare. I also do not 100% support other forgiveness of debts like the PPP loan alot of Republican politicians and their families got were forgiven. That could also be detrimental to the fight against inflation too.

As per the $1500 per month additional savings? Does his student loan have a $150,000 balance? I thought Biden only waived around $10k - $20k.

My 2cents.

This is quite common nowadays except maybe in 3rd world and perhaps some 2nd world countries where safetynet is rare. Government jumping in with all sort of goodies (circa $500) to provide some relief. Same is happening in the UK, Canada, Australia e.t.c. That being said. I don't think the one-off payments would help the recipients much neither would it drive up inflation that much as well (if at all).

The $2k the governor is pushing for in Pennsylvania for about 250,000 residents is likely not going to fly and the voters will blame the GOP controlled state house and state senate. It's more like a political stunt TBH since election is in 10 weeks for all members of the state house and half the state senate.

$500 might pass but $2,000 is an overkill.

Noted. Yet those journos still call us a dark continent who need to be shepherded like sheep
Africa is never a dark continent, no matter what Western or Eastern media says.

However, your comparison did not hit the bulls' eyes.

Compare Channels TV with Fox News, CNN e.t.c
Compare MTN group with Verizon, AT&T e.t.c

Note that Verizon's revenue for 2021 was $133B which dwarfs MTN (Africa) revenue group of $10B.

Still very much lower than MTN (Africa) Group.

Some people will just open mouth waaaah.

Even Nigerians haven't lost their country despite the extremely high unemployment rate, divisions, corruption, looting, high cost of gas, crimes (raping, kidnapping, ritual killings, terrorism, banditry e.t.c) ; how much more an extremely rich and former empire like Germany.

You guys need to be sincere, where was UN when Israel was bombing Palestine?
Where is UN in Iraq, Afghanistan when US and it allies were bombing them...

Is UN sleeping when Serbia was being bombed to smithereens by NATO?? undecided
Is Russia one of the 5 permanent members of the UN?

Where was UN when Russia was/is still currently bombing Ukraine?

You see, it goes both ways.

So, we can blame China for the earthquake since earthquakes are common to China cool
Lies. Lol

I know the source of your confusion. You need to first understand that there is a difference between People's Republic of China (China or PROC) and Republic of China (Taiwan or ROC).
